    About the Business

Established in 2010. Inn at Nye Beach was built in 2010 as the Greenstone Inn on the site of the former Viking's Cottages. In February 2013, the Greenstone Inn was acquired by VIP Hospitality, a family owned company started in Lincoln City Oregon 30+ years ago. After many upgrades and soft renovations, the Inn at Nye Beach is now one of the Oregon Coast's premier Boutique oceanfront hotels. Nestled into a cozy bluff, we offer the only oceanfront infinity spa on Oregon's 363-mile coast. Our nearby fire pits create another distinguished vantage point to enjoy the view. This is just the beginning of what makes the Inn at Nye Beach special. Welcome!

Wow. Super elegant boutique inn. Very cool and in an interesting neighborhood with ocean & downtown views. Great breakfast choices from lox & bagels, to fruit and granola, baked French toast, and 6 or more other choices., and all delivered by pre set AM appointment. Huge suite with oversized spoiling shower size & deluxe shower head, towels and bath amenities. Gas fireplace too. Outside heated small pool with ocean view & outdoor gas fueled fire pit.

And very good deal for the costs.

My wife and I came down for a 1 night stay and to dine at Local Ocean, her favorite seafood restaurant in Oregon.
From the moment we checked in with Mark and Lacey up front at the desk, we were impressed. Both of them communicated the amenities to us so we know the "lay of the land" right off the bat.
Mark offered a temporary key for us as we arrived early before our room was ready. This allowed us to check out the back area with access down to the beach. After a splendid walk on the beach with our dog, were were texted that our room was ready.
Room 15, first floor near the elevator and lobby, but it was very quiet and convenient.
The room is simply appointed but modern and very clean.
The view....WOW...worth the price of the room alone.
      Beds were firm and cozy.
They had left a little "Doggie bag" for our dog, with treats, poop bags and a chew toy.
When Lacey found out if was my wife's birthday, she offered us a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine, which we enjoyed while watching the sun go down from our private deck. (see pix)
In their lobby, they offer a decent selection of beer, cider, wine, non alcoholic beverages along with some bagged snacks and candies.
We took a cab to dinner (have fun, be safe), Yaquina Bay Cab, (see Yelp for them...highly recommend).
Dinner at Local Ocean was perfect, then back to The Inn for a soothing hot tub watching the moon and stars.
Slept with the deck door open to listen to the waves.
Our pre-ordered breakfast arrived to our room just on time, and it was delicious.
Marionberry french toast is more of a bread pudding and was FANTASTIC.
Wish they had real maple syrup but it wasn't an issue.
So a day and a half at The Inn, having a wonderful time, enjoying Newport and friendly staff everywhere we went.
We have told friends and now YELP, we will be back for more.

This place is ridiculously over priced for as dated as it is. The parking sucks. And there's no valet. The couch was so uncomfortable, we were forced to sit on the bed the entire night Instead of in front of the fireplace that we paid extra for. The ONLY reason I'm giving this place 3 stars is because of the ocean view. Definitely feel like we could have paid way less for way more somewhere else. Like Inn at Spanish Head. Lesson learned! Don't recommend.

We arrived in Newport without a lodging reservation. My husband likes to wing it and not have any lodging reservations so I wasn't too sure what the Inn At Nye Beach was going to be like.

We were pleasantly surprised at our room (#12 right off the office area). It's a large room with a good sized bathroom. It had a desk, couch, coffee table, gas fireplace, sliding glass door to a small deck, and an area that held a microwave, coffee press, small refrigerator and coffee/tea condiments.

The inn grinds the coffee beans every morning for you. In the afternoon there are freshly baked cookies in the lobby.

Included with each stay is breakfast in the mornings delivered to your room. This is not your average continental breakfast but a yummy breakfast. We had the chef's special of the week which was a marionberry baked french toast. Delicious!

There isn't a swimming pool but the infinity hot tub made up for it. It's a generously size hot tub. The view was wonderful. On the other side of the hot tub was a sandy area with an outdoor gas fireplace with chairs surrounding it. It too has a beautiful view.

We loved the hotel so much we stayed an additional two nights.

There is beach access from the hotel but you had to walk down a lot of steep steps to the beach. If you can't do steps, you can walk to the Nye Beach area (about two blocks downhill from the inn) where there are shops and a few restaurants and then walk down the hill to the beach.

      The staff was great.

The only drawback was the parking lot. The parking lot is very tight and there aren't a lot of spaces. There is on-street parking available.

We would definitely stay here again.

We travelled through on a road trip and enjoyed the infinity spa in between storms. My son loved the spa and the fireplace in the room. We really enjoyed our breakfast fought to our room. The night time front desk gal was so nice. Our tv cable box wasn't working and she came right up and set up our tv and dvd player so we could watch a movie with our son. This was an amazing stay!!!' Sound of waves, walking the 100 steps down to the beach this morning and enjoying the nightly cookies by the front desk. We will for sure be coming back on our way through Oregon.

Our son sleeping across from the fireplace.

I recently stayed one night at the Inn at Nye Beach, and unfortunately, my experience was less than pleasant. The air conditioning was extremely noisy, which kept me up for most of the night. Additionally, there was no shower curtain in the bathroom, making it difficult to take a shower without making a mess. The nightstands in the room had barely been wiped down, and there were visible rings from the previous guest's drinks. To top it all off, I found a dirty sock in the closet, which made me question the cleanliness of the room overall. The morning breakfast burrito was the highlight, and even that was mediocre. When I brought these issues to the attention of the front desk, I was met with a frown and a promise that they would inform housekeeping. However, there was no attempt to make things right. Based on this experience, I would not recommend staying at the Inn at Nye Beach.

Great place to stay and explore Newport! Very walkable to little shops in the Nye Beach area. Breakfast made to order and served to your room - recommend the French toast and then work it off by a walk down the 100 plus stairs to the beach :) Staff was very helpful and even had a welcome card for our stay. Gift shop has reasonably priced wines and has access to a DVD library, puzzles and games. Best spot - the state beach I think at Cape Lookout - saw juvenile gray whales surfacing from inside, could have sat there all day! We loved our stay and look forward to our next vacation!

This place is amazing. I came here for my birthday with my kiddos and am so glad I did. Falling asleep and waking up to the waves... you can't beat it. The service and whole staff were great. Mark and rose were awesome! I wish I could remember the rest of the Staffs names because they all went above and beyond. Will 100% be back. Thank you guys

Check-in was easy and helpful. The room was great. Kids loved the infinity hot tub. Complimentary breakfast room service was really good! We expected continental breakfast type, but it was made to order and very good.

      Breakfast and a view!

My partner, two friends, and I recently stayed at the Inn during a trip to the Oregon Coast. I had pretty average expectations going into our stay, and was blown away! My partner and I actually received a room upgrade, which was such a fun surprise. The ocean view king suite was beautiful, with a HUGE bathroom and amazing soaking bathtub, sitting area, balcony, and comfortable bed (including the best hotel pillow I've ever slept on). It is clear that the staff and owners really want you to have a positive experience--staff was very helpful and friendly, and there are so many little touches that made our time feel special. We loved having private beach access (even if we did need to climb over 100 stairs for it!) and the infinity hot tub and other outdoor areas felt luxurious. I would highly recommend staying at the Inn. We did find their website very cumbersome to use, so I would recommend just calling for any booking or questions.
