I normally go to New India Gate for Indian food, but as I live in Florence and that's on the west side of Phoenix it's a long drive. I stumbled across India's Flame simply by accident and decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did as the food here is outstanding! The Chicken Tikka Masala was super flavorful as were the Tandoori wings. The Garlic Naan was just to die for, and two helpings of everything later and you could have just about rolled me out the door.
The staff were all great, and the prices were super reasonable. It's not a huge restaurant so I might get it to go if it's a Friday night or on the weekend, but cold Indian food is never really cold if it's spiced right.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 2 - 11443493756Jan 22, 2024Updated review
Updating the review to 5 stars for the quality and flavor of the food. One of the best garlic naan amongst Indian restaurants in the area, & the balance of flavors and quality of the ingredients is top notch. Their tandoori chicken is one of the juiciest with the best flavors (great marinade).
Service leaves something more to be desired, but, I tried their buffet, so will not ding them for service. Very clean and hygienic, relaxed ambiance. Keeps growing on me.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Apr 16, 2023Previous reviewFood is good..!! Fresh.. the buffet is not too big, but the dishes are fresh and flavorful..!! Surprised why they limit the Naan to 1 per person for the buffet. But service is nice and the place is clean and hygienic. Staff is friendly and attentive. Their vegetarian dishes are actually delicious and kept separate from the meat dishes. There is no goat/lamb on the buffet menu, only fish and chicken. Their chicken curry is tasty, but butter chicken is typically westernized.
Their Naan is super light & fluffy, very tasty. Missing some more items that are typical for other Indian buffets such as yogurt and some desserts like Gulab Jamun and Halwa. Decently priced and good value for money. - 33549Dec 9, 2023
My family and I love Indian food, and have eaten at maybe 50 different Indian restaurants over the years, in Georgia, Virginia, Arizona, Singapore, London, Colorado, Illinois, California, Tennesee, and so on and so on. I've even made my own curries, a lengthy process to get it to taste just right. And made my own lime pickle.
Indian food is among our favorite types of food.
Tonight we bought $120 worth of take-out, a variety of dishes and breads. Everything was fine. Nothing was bad. But the sauces tasted watered down, not very flavorful, not very rich.
After our meal, my wife and I agreed that the food from Flavor of India, a truckstop dive in Eloy, is significantly better. Here's their website: http://flavorofindiaeloyaz.com/Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 14, 2024
Strong and perfect seasoning. Clean tables. I know it is authentic when the restaurant is filled up with Indian customers.
I came back for a lunch buffet, which has mostly chicken and vegetable dishes, and really enjoyed the tastes of every dish. Naan is provided as part of the buffet.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kelsie W.Brentwood, CA374922Apr 22, 2024

I have no idea what took us so long to try India's Flame. Unfortunately I've been very disappointed with a lot of Indian restaurants and have only found one that we truly like, but it's not close to home.
Tonight we finally gave it a chance and glad we did! We tried their veggie samosas, vegetable korma, butter chicken and butter naan. I thought everything was delicious, not a single complaint. Even for mild, their dishes still have a kick and I loved it.
The butter chicken was creamy and flavorful and the chicken was well trimmed with no chewy/fatty pieces that restaurants can sometimes throw in. The vegetable korma was loaded with veggies and had a sweetness to it, so good. The veggie samosas were big, crisp, and super tasty. Loved the side dipping sauces, maybe a mint and tamarind chutney? Both were delicious. Last the butter naan was simple; piping hot and soft.
Definitely coming back, looking forward to it.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - Aug 5, 2023
India's Flame will now be my go-to Indian spot. I'd been recommended here from multiple people and it surely lived up to the hype.
Atmosphere was laid back and comfortable. Since I'm basic and seldom branch out trying new Indian dishes, I got the tikka masala and butter chicken. I didn't order the naan, but it looked SO good. Dishes were delicious. Flavorful and fresh. As a previous reviewer noted, the chicken was good and not fatty neither had any bad pieces.
Service was great as well. I'd also note that the prices were super reasonable, especially compared to other Indian food restaurants in The Valley. I'm so excited to come back.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Stan G.Tempe, AZ012Apr 7, 2024Updated review
This is a great place to eat Indian food. I typically go to the Sunday buffet. Food is consistently great and the people there are very friendly and helpful. I have become friends with a waiter there name Deve. He always stops and chats with me as do others that work there. I have been going to this restaurant for several years. It was recently remodeled and it looks great. It is always well kept and the food is delicious . It is usually pretty busy at around 1:00. The staff is very attentive and the food is replenished quickly. It is family owned and you can tell they take pride in their restaurant. I have on occasions had dinner there too. The menu offers a great selection on vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. It is definitely worth checking out! They do take out as well.

I had the non veg combo platter. Will definitely come here again and tell my friends. It's also very convenient to get to. I just live a block away.

This place is so adorable inside & not what you expect compared to most indian restaurants. We enjoyed our meal complete with butter chicken, garlic naan, rice, sheesh kabab, and lamb chops. All of the food we ordered was delicious- but the lamb chops were to drool for, the meat was so tender and falling off the bone with so much flavor. The servers were great and checked in as needed
