I've gotten a hard-part comb-over and a line-up taper fade from Marty. Both of these cuts came out flawless and I felt like a million bucks leaving Marty's shop. It should also be noted that:

1. Marty is extremely easy to talk to (over some smooth jazz - he's a jazz aficionado)
2. He doesn't rush you in and out like other barber shops might. Marty takes his time and is quite the conversationalist if you like to talk!

As someone who has been going to Marty for nearly 4 years now, I'd recommend him!

Marty is a great barber and is old school. He's a communicator too, and wants to understand the exact cut you're looking for, and ensure he delivers it. If you're looking for a spot with the true barbershop environment, this is the spot. Do not be late though, and I suggest giving a reasonable amount of heads up if you're going to be a no show.

My son has been getting his hair cut by Marty since the 8th grade and now he's in college and still loves the way Marty cuts his hair.
I also notice that Marty does give back to his community by giving free hair cuts to the homeless.

I had an emergency last minute and this barbershop was kind enough to take me in.
Brett, my barber was quite honestly amazing. I've never had someone cut my hair that put in so much attention to detail. His uncle (the shop owner) was very kind and patient as Brett cut my hair so late in the day. It's refreshing to see a family work together like these two do. I'll definitely be back. I highly recommend this place. Thank you again.

I've had a beard trim and a haircut in hundreds of barber shops as I travel for work. This place was the most hateful and unprofessional. When I sat down to tell him what wanted, he said "what now". He did his own thing and gave me a lot of scars from the trimmer. (Pictures attached) It was very painful while doing and was painful for a week. Never go this place.

I just had a haircut and beard trim here.. He used one clipper for the haircut board trip and also for finishing the edges.. And the clipper was a bad quality clipper and now I'm left with bruises all over..
If they dont have the equipment to shave the edges of beards, they shouldn't use old clippers!! His name is Alex.. Be careful everyone..

I am still trying to respectfully understand how this place got 5 stars...or how much these other people were paid off to write these reviews. Instead; I absolutely did not like my experience at this particular establishment. The customer who was there before I got in the chair was more enjoyable and or pleasent then the owner himself.

I will start by saying the clippers he used were EXTREMELY hot after being in the chair for only 10mins. My hairline was ratchet as F*** on one side which he blamed on two things 1) the barber prior who was from Legends and 2) new growth. Completely not true...

I had to ask for him to complete small tasks that I would call incumbent upon a line-up. Nor did he have shavers which every barber I've been to in LA had. He spent 5mins patting down areas with that finishing liquid where he damn near gave me second degree burns with those hot ass clippers.

Out dated cut, tools, and abilities. This shop unfortunately is a no go. However when I called he was very professional, pleasant, and mild mannered. Granted, the line-up was inexpensive but instead for the quality of the experience it should have been free.
