Image Nail Design Salon

I was coming here since I was in High school (maybe 15 years old and I'm in my 30s now). I always went to Tonya for nails and Jan for my eyebrows. I always left there bleeding bc she was rough but I was a kid and figured it was normal. Several times I left there with an allergic reaction for some reason. Again, I was a stupid kid.

Then Tonya started doing eyelash extensions and I could never get an appointment with her for nails (she made more on eyelashes than she did on my nails).

Finally enough was enough. I was a customer for 10+ years and decided to find somewhere else to go (there's a nail salon on every corner). The place was falling off anyway. She had my number too. You'd think after 10 years she'd call and ask where I went.

There are so many nail salons in the area but IMAGE is the best! Tanya and Kenny are super sweet and talented. I choose my color and leave the rest in their hands. I always walk happy and with a cute design
There can be a little wait that's because they do great work.

Update: NOT WORTH COMING HERE AT ALL. It is still a messy place and they raised their prices as well. Better off finding a cleaner salon.

I wish i could give them zero honestly . I am so disappointed . i came here to do my gel mani and pedicure considering my birthday is in a few days . I just got my nails done wednesday ! A DAY AGO and look at what is happening already. after the money i spent and the money i tipped the lady, i am so upset with the job that was done . For a gel manicure , this should not be peeling already. i am highly upset.




Update: I find a better salon right down the block from them !! Called oscars nail salon ! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GO THERE ! you definetly get your moneys worth and then some.

3 1/2 stars! I came here with my friend and my grandma to get 2 manicures and one fill in. They were so sweet and helped my elderly grandma sit down, get up and put her coat on. They had a variety of colors and the staff was nice. They did not give massages after you get your nails done like i like. Also, i loved the colored I chose for my fill in and my nail tech also put little jewel hearts for Valentine's day. However, he wasn't too clean with the dust from my nails. Therefore, the dust got all over my clothes and a few dust particles got into my nails. So after he completed my nails, 3 nails had like dust particles in them. However, my nails do like nice with a coffin shape and the place was a very nice place. They just need to keep their stations more clean.

I went here for a set of acrylics. She said we could do dip powder because it would be better for my nails. I agreed. She did acrylic anyway. They were lumpy and very thick. I asked for an almond shape nail and all she could give me was round. They weren't my favorite to look at but they lasted a long time...that's why I gave them two stars instead of one. Obviously I won't be coming back here.

My nails always turn out beautiful & at a reasonable price. I use Tanya she is so sweet & friendly. I always get designs on my nails & always get compliments.

Very sweet and friendly and their sns powder gel always lasts me the full three weeks. Sometimes even four ! The place can be a little cleaner but the way they work on my nails never fails to disappoint me .

I was without a nail salon after the one I frequented was forced to close because of inflating rent. Then that led me to a borough-wide search for a decent nail salon. This gem of a nail salon was hiding right under my nose this whole time-- and I'm a Whitestone Native so it's super convenient.

They have been in business for 16 years which is amazing. I hope to see them in business for many, many more years because this'll be my go to nail salon from now on. The service here is truly unlike any service I'd ever received from any nail salon.

Walking in, I had acrylic nails from two-three weeks ago that were still in great condition. They hadn't chipped or separated and Tanya mentioned that they were still tight and that the nail salon did a good job. You can tell this is an art for her and everyone at Image, it's not just something that they do for a living. This is like me, as a barista, going from cafe to cafe and being able to admire other baristas doing the same thing I do. I can go on and on about barista and art history jokes but every detail that goes into nail "art" and what nail technicians do has always fascinated me. And the fact that they do 3D nails AND use nail forms has totally piqued my interest. They have display upon display of nail polish, gels and designs. You have so many choices here, it makes you feel like a kid in a candy shop.

Tanya was amazing. She... absolutely amazing. I could never hold a conversation with a nail tech like I have with her. And as we were talking, she was explaining what she was doing with my nails. Like how she was going to leave some of the acrylic on my nails because they were weak from the tips and that it would make them a little stronger. She didn't use any oil prior to gel application because she said that would make the gel or nail polish peel off. Totally didn't know this before. When not covered in acrylic, I like to keep my natural nail short and square but rounded at the edges. She asked how I liked them and knew exactly how to file it down to where I looked at one nail and it was perfect... And this has always been a struggle!!!

I learned so much in that single session, again, kid in a candy shop, totally blown away. I'm absolutely happy with my gel manicure and I'll be back for more here. It's super convenient. The place was super clean, and everyone was super nice. I'll be recommending this place to everyone from now on.

I think this is probably one of the cleanest and most hygienic salons in the area. They leave the back door open all the time so that the place can air out, which is nice given that most of the other salons smell like a plethora of different chemicals at any given time. They also line their pedicure baths with a disposable plastic cover.

May is super nice and noticed that my mom's pedicure was messed up even before my mom saw it. She immediately dropped what she was doing and went over to fix it. Everyone here was calm and professional, and we had a relaxing experience here.

It was a packed house though, and some of the ladies seemed to be waiting for 30+ minutes so I would recommend that you call in advance.
