Illusion Nails

I came on a regular basis. Pedicure is a waste of money. No massage, just a bit lotion a hot towel for couple seconds. Not doing that again. Nail Acrylic full set -seems to get sloppy too. It's all fast paced. 3 in one salon. Not much attention to detail..fast fast half ass and then you're done.

I can invest my money into a salon that still does a good job with pedicure and nails. You get what you pay for, literally. Guys are friendly, but I leave as a client and I am not satisfied. Months ago Acrylic Nails were coming off after 2 weeks. Gave it another chance. Not again!

Several years ago I was in a very bad accident and I had to get around on a walker. I came to Illusion for help and I have been a loyal customer ever since. This past week on a visit to see my daughter we stopped by for another amazing service for both of us. Sami crushed it as she always does and we picked up our conversation as though we see each other every month. I cannot recommend this salon highly enough. Thank you one and all!!

Well I thought by the good reviews I'd get some good work done but I was wrong. My nails have spots not filled with polish and you can see where she put the clear polish and didn't put it in the whole mail.

This place is great! I went yesterday for the first time and I experienced great customer service. The lady who did my nails (I think her name was Sammy? Or similar spelling) was so delicate and she was so nice. We had a great conversation and I told her how my nails were thin and brittle, and the last place I went for my nails had made them way too thin and made my cuticles bleed badly. She listened to all my concerns and was so careful when using the electric filer. No cuts, no bleeding, great looking nails, that's what I'm talking about! She was also patient with me when I couldn't make my mind up about the color. Best of all, the prices are GREAT! I'm paying around $10 less than the place I used to go to. I will be coming back, always!

this place is absolutely amazing. the staff is so sweet and they do an incredible job at exceeding our expectations. we will continue to get our nails done here. highly recommend.

Why: got my nails done last week and I need a balance already, and my acrylic is sloppy as ever, and they rushed to do my nails and had a bad attitude

My fingers and toes were looking like I could swoop out of the sky and snatch food from a lake, so I was super disappointed when my regular salon was at maximum capacity for the day. I went to my car, checked Yelp, and discovered that Illusion Nails was just 1/4 mile up the street.

There were just two people working and each of them were finishing other clients when I walked it, so I was able to choose a color for my toes and enjoy a nice soak in the foot bath. The water temperature was perfect. I was a little put off when the gentleman who took care of me put a large bowl of acetone on my lap and told to put my fingers in it, so I could soak off the existing gel polish while he worked on my feet. Acetone is a bit drying on the hands. Nevertheless, the pedicure was decent. He took his time, although I don't think my feet are quite as smooth as what they are when I go to my usual place.

I also got a gel French manicure. Again, he did a decent job, but I can see where he didn't thoroughly paint the top edges, which, I've been told, is the key to "sealing" gel nails and keeping them from chipping. When he was done, he slathered my hands with what I believed to be oil and I washed my hands. I'm cautiously optimistic and hoping that this mani lasts at least 2 weeks.

After tip, I found this salon to be around $10 cheaper than my usual place, which was a nice surprise. Yes, the salon's decor is dated, but so what? The people are friendly and the prices are more than competitive. As long as my nails hold up, I'll definitely return in the future.

Edited on 06/26/17 to add: I took away a star, because the manicure barely lasted two weeks before the polish started to peel. Usually, one of the advantages to getting a gel French manicure is that it lasts a bit longer than colored gel polish, simply because the light color on the base of the nails makes it's harder to see any growth. The pedicure also lasted two weeks, which was unusual for me. I normally get pedicures once a month. I will only use this salon if my usual place is too busy to accommodate me. I guess it's sometimes true that you get what you pay for.

So glad I found this place on a sunday. I needed my nails done, walked in at 445pm and they were more than willing to help me out. The staff was friendly and reasonably priced. They did a nice job for a basic manicure. I would defiantly be back!
