I can't help but feel like the middle aged guy who works here is the Korean dry cleaning family equivalent of Tommy Boy, but with less outward charm. As he bumbles under the critical, watchful gaze of the all-knowing matriarch, the atmosphere is thick with resentment and years of lowered expectations. I live across the street, and can often see him driving the tricycle delivery bike to and fro, and I think it is no accident that he seems happiest outside.
As a result, I continue to carry my laundry to guys on 7th Ave and Morton, but I think our relationship has soured ever since I had them alter an England soccer jersey. I'm sorry guys, but I am no fan of Mexican soccer.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Guy C.Washington, DC310610Aug 26, 2019Updated review
Ridiculously high prices, WHICH, I'm not unaccustomed to paying for decent dry cleaning in NY... After damaging my shirt and not replacing a basic white button though, this group wanted to charge me $4 when I brought it back.
Hudson Cleaners charges $9 to dry clean a shirt. If they damage a simple button that costs a few cents, I'd think they'd jump at the chance to show customers value by voluntarily replacing the button when finishing off the shirt. And then, if they don't choose to do that, they should apologize and fix it for free if the customer has to return.
I have been going here for three months with my dry cleaning and wash n fold. They believe because I didn't bring my shirt back within 7 days (traveling) that I must have broken it myself and am jonesing for a free button? C'mon, not when I pay $9/shirt...
Who should have to get stupid with their dry cleaner before 9am on a Monday? I should have saved myself the inevitable frustration I realized I was in from the very first moment I stopped by this spot. So should you.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jul 21, 2019Previous reviewReally nice service, no complaints from me. But, my wash and fold clothes smelled absolutely awful when they came back. Like they had been washed with sweaty rags or old shirts. For the price, which is more expensive than any other wash n fold around, they should be able to get the clothes smelling fresh. Very weird.

Used this place for a year and half and considered it average. Realized months later after having them sew a pillow case that they never did and just left a bunch of pins inside even though they charged me for sewing. When I brought pillow case to show them they wanted to charge me again to fix. They had the record that I already paid but didn't care or the fact I was client for a year and a half. Terrible customer service and not even a great dry cleaner. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! This place is crap.

My experience with the tailor was great. He's very professional. You can tell that he's very skilled, and experienced. This place is great. I don't understand why the reviews are so bad. I really recommend this place, if you need anything tailored.

Avoid at all cost. Hudson lost my favorite shirt ($200) and accused our doorman (of four impeccable years) of stealing the shirt. Absolutely *appalling* behavior. They never looked for the shirt or gave me a refund - even for the dry cleaning of my lost shirt. There are many more honest operators out there. A seriously rotten management.

Excellent tailor, very responsive. Delivered the items to my home the same day that they were dropped off even though they weren't due until the next day. Would highly recommend!

I have finally found the perfect neighborhood cleaners. I live in the west village and have tried all the cleaners in the area. I am very particular and fastidious with my clothing; unfortunately, I also happen to be clumsy and often stain my clothing. The worst offenses are sent to Meurice; the remainder are sent here.
The staff is very sweet and accommodating. I usually bring in about five or six items to dry clean and they always deliver within a day. My clothes, which are usually of exotic or fragile materials, return looking fresh and new. Other cleaners often leave my clothes looking tired and old and I suspect that the organic products they use are gentler on my clothes. It is gentler without being any less effective. Prices are fair and more than competitive with other neighborhood cleaners.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael K.San Francisco Bay Area, CA1449Mar 13, 2011
When the zipper on my jacket broke (you know when the zipper will zip up, but the teeth of the zipper track don't align? It was like that, except it would partially align, but leave a big hole in other parts), I brought it to this place. I lived next to Washington Square, but I was in the area with the jacket, so figured I might as well drop it off.
They were nice enough--just like a normal dry cleaning place. But through my interactions with them, I discovered them to be fraudsters: the Bernie Madoffs of the dry cleaning world. (I'm sorry for being lame; I was born that way :( ).
When I went to pick up my jacket, it was all zipped up, looking perfectly aligned. I paid my $20 and left. When I took it back to my place, I took the jacket out of the plastic wrap and tried the zipper out. To my chagrin, the zipper problem hadn't been fixed at all; instead, it appeared that the cleaners had spent the days since I dropped off my jacket futzing around with my jacket until they were able to get the zipper aligned once, and then presented me with their lucky zip! As if I wouldn't notice that the zipper wasn't actually working when I got home, that they had only, after much effort, zipped up my jacket!
I took it back, and they said they'd fix the problem. The next time I came back, there was a new zipper head on it. Despite the appearance of a fix, however, my previous experience had left me skeptical. I therefore took the jacket out of the plastic wrap at the store, and tried on the jacket there. Once again, they thought I'd somehow be happy with the appearance of the jacket being fixed, as opposed to actually fixing it--the problem persisted!
So, they finally said, "Your jacket needs a new zipper lining, and the problem will be fixed." (I'm paraphrasing). I said, fine, whatever, please fix it. So, on this time, they actually fixed (yay), BUT they had the audacity to ask me for $40 more dollars after trying to swindle me multiple times! I told them I'd give them $15, and that was the end of that.
Sorry for the Yelp version of War and Peace. Summary: don't go here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brian T.Manhattan, NY02Feb 16, 2013
These guys are great and do a superior job on boxed shirts. They tend to feel rushed but do an outstanding job on actually providing a superior product to pretty much everyone else in the West Village!
