Hotel La Vague De Saint Paul

Went there for a fancy and very expensive dinner in France - Michelin-recommended. We sat on the terrace. The food was good but the servers were inexperienced and there was loud throbbing music blaring from the pool 100 meters away. Not conducive to fine dining.

This is a very pleasant spot just a few minutes outside of St Paul de Vence. The hotel is of a modern design which shows in the architecture and furnishings. The rooms themselves are not lavish but have all the basics and some more covered. My room came with a decent sized terrace with chairs overlooking the gardens and the pool. The bed was comfortable and the room itself scrupulously clean.

Breakfast is a very complete buffet, although a littlie pricey (18e) I did not need much of a lunch (if at all) to keep me going. It had everything you could expect.

Dinner was excellent and there is a daily menu as well as a la carte.

There is a full bar and a casual indoor as well as outdoor lounge area.

My only criticism would be that the cell and free wi fi service was a little inconsistent and would sometimes drop out unexpectedly.

Overall this is a very pleasant and reasonably priced spot for the South of France.

This is a sweet place to get away to the cool mountains. I spent three nights here and enjoyed the tranquility and the town of St Paul nearby. One of my favorite discoveries was the running trail that I found one early morning. I ran up the hill from the La Vague for about a 1/2 mile and stumbled on the trailhead. A fun trail that branches off into other well marked trails. The hotel would have scored better had the wifi worked in my room (my co-travelers couldn't access the wifi in their rooms either), you cannot access the fitness center unless someone is present, which means the gym will not open till 830am, and the hotel sometimes could not keep up when their were large groups that would hit the on site restaurant during meal times. One morning, the staff member didn't show up to Work to set up for breakfast, so all guests waited for about 45 mins while the rest of the crew worked to make up for her absence. A charming place that could do better with a few small adjustments.
