This is perhaps one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The pool and sauna were such an incredible feature to enjoy as a break away from the high energy of the city. Plus, there's a rooftop pool too with beautiful views. There's also live music in the evenings in the hotel lobby! Our room had an all jade bathroom that was just beautiful. The location couldn't be better either. You can walk EVERYWHERE from this hotel! I was shocked at how fair the price per night was here.

My only regret is that we didn't stay at this location for more than 2 nights!

This was an amazing hotel. It was a five star experience. I researched hotels in Barcelona while fantasizing my trip from California- it's very difficult to chose a hotel from so far away- so I wrote to the concierge, Roger and asked detailed questions- to my surprise he was so generous with his suggestions and honesty. Service like that is very appealing to me.
When we got there we were so happy to be greeted with a bottle of champagne and fruit in our delightful room. The bed was perfect, the design of the room was tastefully beautiful with a nice bathroom. I highly recommend this place.
But then we ventured to the rooftop pool and wrap around bar, we were totally excited. What a great way to visit Barcelona in the middle of La Rampa. Very quiet too.

Great location and very nice overall. 2 nights after 3 week adventure before flying back to LAX.

room 201 specifics. Nice room but a bit small and dark. 2nd day no drinking water and fresh coffee cups but no coffee. Bath sink plunger stuck down when closed for my shave. Subway runs 24/7 and rumbles room so not restful.

Rooftop has pool and bar and restaurant. Great city views. Excellent wait staff. Pool ice cold.

Breakfast buffet is extensive and regional with many good choices. Don't miss the champagne when you walk in. Not advertised but ask for custom omelet from staff.

Wanted to love it but the flaws stacked up and some staff have a "I don't care" attitude.

Great hotel in a wonderful area of Barcelona! Located by La Rambla, this very secure hotel has a wonderful friendly staff and smells great (literally). My room faced the interior. I could hear the seagulls at about 7 in the morning. The breakfast is on the 1st floor (not the 0 floor). My room was clean, good size and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was average size. It included both a toilet and a bidet. My personal view on hotels: Location is key!! This hotel is in a perfect area for all!!

On our way to visit family in Mallorca, we spent two nights at the hotel. Hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. The rooms were amazing and fairly priced. The location was right in the middle of everything and made walking to restaurants, historic sites a breeze. I highly recommend this hotel for it beautiful lobby, staff, price and access to all of Barcelona. It's going to be our "go to" whenever we're in beautiful Barcelona.

This is the perfect hotel in the heart of Barcelona. You will be able to walk a lot of places from here. The highlight of this hotel is the rooftop views. You will have a beautiful view of the city great drinks and food.

I could go on endlessly about this place and how amazing it was!!! Man oh man if you want location- this IS it! Right on La Rambla the most amazing street in Barcelona. However we slept nightly with our terrace door open and wasn't woken once. Noise is not a problem. We spent time at the hotel bar with Eyder the best bartender around. He made us feel at home and made great drinks with a wonderful attitude. The hotel has 2 pools both gorgeously done. I would have liked the lower one a little bit warmer, still too chilly for me! There is an amazing view from the roof too. It's also a 15 minute walk to the beach or cable car up the mountain. I loved it here and look forward to coming back!!!

First visit after 16 years and happy to report that the hotel is as wonderful as ever! Gorgeous rooftop, beautiful rooms, and central to just about everything. Love!

I can't say enough about this hotel. Originally a tobacco company's headquarters, the building has been refurbished into an old-world, cozy retreat from what can be a busy area in Barcelona. That said, the location was perfect for us. Nearby are good local restaurants, markets, beautiful old churches, coffee shops and museums. Reception staff members are well-trained and friendly. I did not see a dedicated concierge but was able to get reservations made at the front desk. The rooftop pool is a nice haven from tourist-dom. Hard to beat the view, squawking sea gulls, and comfortable lounges while sipping a well-made pink gin. Rooms are good. One could argue on the small side but I've yet to see many large rooms in Barcelona. Hint: ask for a room on the back side overlooking the church and water. And visit that church. It's beautiful. (Did not try the breakfast. There are options afield).

Went there for drinks before dinner. Place is gorgeous. Service was very slow.. however, the cocktails were great!
