My wife and I played today in under 4 hours. The employees could not have been nicer. Course was in excellent shape, greens rolled nice and they were quick. At 39.00 easily the best bang for your buck.
If you do not play this course you missed a fun day.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Robin S.Lapeer, MI2123Mar 27, 2018
Not impressed by much here. Overpriced for condition of course, no longer part of our condos discount program and of course range not open, putting green not open, but had no problem charging us $49 for a course than in Michigan would have been $25. Not Impressed at all.

This course looks like it is beautiful - or would be if it were in good condition. The free unlimited range balls before the round was a nice bonus. The course has a beautiful and tough layout - lots of water and tight fairways. Be prepared to lose a lot of golf balls unless you are a skilled player. The three nines each have their own challenges.
However, the course was in terrible shape as stated before. The greens were patchy and bare in most areas. The tee boxes and fairway were dead (apparently overrun by an invasive grass specie).
All in all, I would highly recommend going elsewhere until the course is torn up and replanted. Other nice courses nearby include Santa Rosa (public) and Camp Creek (private).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sheri Fresonke H.Orlando, FL402261118May 23, 2013
Best course conditions I've seen in Florida except for some spots on the greens. It has many challenges--with very tight narrow fairways, some long carries for the black and blue tees--the white and red were fine. The women's tees are somewhat short--I gained most of my strokes with bad putting--pin placement can be very challenging. Even though we played early morning, it was quite warm and muggy, but despite being busy the course moved well. We finished in 4.5 hours.
The pro shop had lots of shirts and other items for sale. We received a discount since we booked through the Edgewater Resort so it was a great deal to play. The starters were really friendly, explaining we had a pro and his buddies behind is the entire round. We never saw them since they were quite careful about not hitting into us.
The food at the cafe is good--we had sandwiches and chips. They came quite quickly as did all of our drinks.
The golf cart service is also good, offering up drinks and ice and beer, and the fellows playing with us ordered a six pack in a cooler bag filled with ice--cool.
Bathrooms are at the clubhouse and at the seventh and fourteenth or fifteenth hole--which is kind of late but I survived. They were nice and clean.
Lots of water on this course--we played the bad and the ugly. I guess the good course is more of an executive golf course.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dustin H.Killen, AL3166188Jun 3, 2015
Played here today and the greens where in very poor condition. (Acknowledged by the staff also). Some of the greens looked like sand traps and had bad dead places all over. It was definitely not worth the money. The only way I will return is when the greens are fixed. Could take a full season. May try returning in 2016. But will call first. Staff was friendly and bar area was real nice.

I'm giving Hombre another 5 stars. The course is in great shape and the staff is exceptionally friendly. The staff makes you feel like they want you there, unlike some of the other courses in PCB.

We were greeted by a staff member bringing us a cart to our car to load up our clubs. The young lady who checked us in was professional and friendly. Called in our lunch order to Tracy and she had our hot sandwiches waiting on us. Glen, the starter, made us feel like it was our home course. We play golf all over PCB and Hombre is hands down the best experience.

Great course! It is the best course that I have played in a long time. Growing up on a golf course and playing 4 years of varsity golf, i do appreciate these types of golf courses. Its very tough if your not straight. Greens/fairways were in perfect shape in april when i was there.

Loved it. Great course at a great twilight price. Friendly staff. They brought my cart to me when I pulled in the parking lot. Will definitely be back next time I come back to Florida.
