      I recently purchased a matching sectional and recliner from this location after searching nearby furniture stores for weeks. The entire process went very smoothly, and while a few of the pieces had some shocking sticker prices, I was very pleased with the final total on my living room furniture. I appreciated that the sales consultants didn't hound me on the sales floor; I knew they were available, and that is frankly all I need. This location also had a very kind greeter near the front looking to point every customer in the right direction - I thought that was quite a pleasant surprise (many of the other furniture stores in the area didn't have someone posted near the front for this purpose)!

      MOSTLY GOOD

      THE GOOD: Over the years I have purchased 2 large area rugs, a sectional, coffee table and end table, plus arm chair and ottoman from HOM. Pleasant sales interaction with all of them. Delivery was prompt and delivery folks were friendly.

      With the last 2 items (armchair and ottoman), we noticed the legs on the ottoman were damaged after unpacking them from delivery. I called Customer Service that same day and they promised to send out a new one which they did (it was in great condition, no damage) and picked up the old.

      THE NOT-SO-GOOD: Now my husband and I are shopping for a new mattress and the salesperson we have worked with twice seems knowledgeable about the products, however is intent on bad-mouthing competition. We have shopped around, read reviews, done comparisons, plus visited stores and looked online. We had it narrowed down to 2 brands and he made a face when we mentioned the other brand we were considering. He said HOM didn't sell that brand anymore, however was evasive when we asked why. He seemed annoyed when we asked more questions that he didn't have answers for. We finally left the store without purchasing anything. Mattresses are a higher-ticket item that you want to be satisfied with for a long time and we felt he was just pushing for the commission.

      I shopped at the HOM furniture store in Bloomington Minnesota and worked with Sally J. she was fantastic!! patient, knowledgeable and great to work with!! I would recommend her and this store!

      Be very careful and avoid disappointment!
      We spent over $5,000 on a custom couch and single recliner. Being a custom order, coming all of the way from China, we waited three months for our furniture to arrive.
      We were very excited the day our furniture was finally going to be delivered. The single seater was unpacked and set up first. I noticed that the leather on one of the arm rests had been stretched out, as if a heavy load had been resting on it. The delivery person told me the warehouse said I could repair it by taking a heat gun to it. So for $5,000 I was expected to repair my own new furniture and I'm sure void any existing warranty.
      It only gets better! I was also informed that the couch had been damaged in the delivery truck and they wouldn't even bother unloading it.
      Needless to say both pieces ended up going back in the truck. I was told customer service would be contacting us in 45 minutes to an hour. Seven hours later I still had not been contacted, so I went into the store in person and cancelled the order.
      In the store they tried to get me to interact with the original sales person. I told them this was not a sales issue - in fact the actual sales experience was good. I was not willing to wait another three months for a replacement knowing that I could potentially have the same delivery issues again.
      It blows my mind that merchandise can make it half way around the world undamaged and then get wrecked while it is out for delivery. I have heard similar complaints from family and friends regarding Hom Furniture deliveries and should have heeded them.
      These lost sales must be costing Hom a ton of money, besides the bad publicity and lost potential future sales. I would hope that corporate gets their act together and take note. They are obviously cutting corners to keep delivery costs down and it is not working.

      To be honest, I usually dread dealing with salespeople in general... let alone at a furniture store. But Betty the mattress expert was amazing. She knew just how much to help. What questions to ask. When to back off. Didn't upsell. Helped us to not overpay for things we didn't need. And didn't let us fall for any hidden financing tricks. She was pure class and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new mattress

      Well where do I begin? In the past 2 years we have spent over $10k at Hom Furniture. Yesterday (3/22/23) we went in and the wife bought a Murphy bed for $1300 from the Dock 86 section. It was 1/2 off what it normally would cost, wife was happy.

      We decided to look at a leather sectional to replace the two very expensive powered chairs were currently own and have had nothing but problems with the "brains" going out on them.

      We found a sectional that was perfect for our family. We decided to put some money down and get the ball rolling. When we got home, we found the exact same sofa sectional online (made by Jackson) for 2500 cheaper with all of the same delivery (white glove) and protection plans as Hom Furniture.

      So today (03/23/2023) we called and talked to Phillip regarding these events and that Hom matches online pricing (plus 10% above that). He stated he would "Go to bat" for us, but knew that these "were not the same". So I decided to call Jackson and ask the manufacture directly. They confirmed that these items were indeed the same items.

      Shortly after, Phillip called my wife and asked for the invoices from the online company to verify pricing. We sent him all the invoices from the other company and guess what? Got a call back that stated they will not price match because the one we found online is substandard quality and not the same. He went on to say, that a rep from Jackson confirmed they were the same. But Hom wanted a second opinion and they found someone higher that stated they were not the same materials and not the same as the ones Hom sells. Again, Jackson stated to me that they are indeed the same and even Hom admitted that the original person at Jackson confirmed they were the same.

      So now where do we sit? Well for the trouble, Hom would give us 10% off the $5399.99 that was the price yesterday. Today, the same unit is $5021.97. When asked about this, Hom stated they would now give us 15% off of the $5399.99 and not 15% off the sale price that their own website states they will honor sale prices within 30 days. But again, no price matching, not even for the same ottoman. Online was $520 and at Hom was $799.

      If you plan on purchasing, go to Hom and look. Then do your research and I promise you will find the exact same product cheaper. We work very hard for our money and this is insane that this company would treat their customers this way. We are for sure done with the Lakeville Store. I will add photos of the invoices once I get everything blurred out for our safety. But I will will give one bright note and that was to Britany in Corporate customer service who worked hard and even said she would call Jackson to see what they said to her. She is what customer service is all about.

      *Updating from 1 to 4 stars. I received a call from Joe at HOM later that afternoon. He said it would be taken care of the very next day. Though they didn't reach out until about 5:15pm that next day, 2 guys showed up, took away the broken section and offered to assemble the bed in our bedroom. They even took away all the cardboard from the 3 pieces, which was a nice bonus.

      Spent $1K on a new bed. Waited the 6 weeks for it to be delivered due to Covid. Knew that it would take that long going into the purchase. Garage delivered today. The box with the footboard and pull out drawers looked pretty rough and it had been re-taped. Upon opening, the wood frame was busted up in one corner. I called customer service and received zero sympathy. Not even close to a "Sorry to hear."

      Their warranty department will call in 2-5 days to figure out the replacement. So there the oversized box will sit in our garage taking up a car space. And we will sleep on a mattress on the floor until the replacement comes.

      I will update this post even they show even the slightest amount of care, or offer to put it together or something. Some manner of improving a customer experience.

      Ugh....just not a pleasant experience. Before I put anything on here I did call their Customer Service dept. in case their response impacted what I wanted to share here.

      Custom ordered a sofa back in mid-November 2020. Covid had been around for 9 months yet the initial availability, from the manufacturer, was February. My opinion is that HOM should have been more aware that these sorts of delays (for custom orders) was taking more like six month....and told us that. We made our purchase and waited.

      Six months later and the sofa arrives yet with incorrect feet. Ugh....such a let down when you wait so long and then it's not 100% right. I begin the process of calling for assistance and get weeks of run-around. At one point the error was blamed on me and that "we ordered it that way". Almost a month later my sales rep acknowledges that HOM will take care of this and get the feet ordered immediately.

      Guess what, I reached out a month later for an update on when the feet would arrive and it appears that the replacement feet were just ordered when I asked for this update. So an entire month passed with no action AND the invoice for the replacement feet has an expected delivery of 2/22!

      A lot of money was spent and we never complained about the covid delay but man, the service "after the sale" was not what you would expect. I did find it odd that their service team passed this issue back to the sales rep.

      Shop around is all I can say. We will for our new chair and bed purchase later this summer....HOM didn't earn our repeat business.

      If ANYTHING changes I will update this review. Mistakes are made and covid sucks but customer service is never ending and always available. The sofa is great - we love it. That said, HOM didn't make it, they were the distributor and THAT service is what earned 1 star.

      Hom is a great furniture store. Quality furniture. Good customer service. Today we were looking for living room furniture. It happened to be ladies day and they were giving out Godiva chocolate, roses, Skinny Pop popcorn and hard seltzer's like Truly and White Claw. Mike helped us and showed us some inexpensive living room options.
