This place is exceptional. The people are so friendly, very professional and extremely helpful. They stayed late to fix my car simply because I had to work the next day and was obviously a little worried about the whole situation. They even buffed some scratches and popped out a dent for free because I was getting all brake pads replaces and a synthetic oil change.

They took the time to show me everything that needed to be done so that I would understand the problem and know that it really was necessary to fix. They seemed concerned that I would think they were just trying to charge me for unnecessary things, and really went the extra mile to show me what the problems were and walk me through some stuff (I have little to no understanding of the way my vehicle works, and they didn't take advantage of that like some mechanics have done in the past). I really, truly appreciated them taking the extra time to do that. It made me so much more comfortable swiping my credit card, and definitely made a lifetime customer out of me.

They finished the work in exactly the amount of time they said it would take. My cousin and I walked to the trendy Vermont street (a few blocks away) and went to happy hour and had a bite to eat and walked back to get my car. They told me I should have my car looked at in another month to check the transmission fluid and some other stuff, and I told them, "see ya in a month!" Definitely coming here for everything I could ever need. Nicest people ever!

Gary helped me out, he has one of the coolest vibes to him. The shop has tires, amazing rims and artwork throughout the shop.
Was more than pleasantly surprised to come here, not only did Gary HOOK ME UP!!, he also helped me actually fix my problem's with my car going out of the way. 10/10 quality service here, In many ways.

I came to Hollywood Star Auto Repair/Sales to get new Pirelli P7 A/S tires. They're located in a corner of Hollywood blvd and Alexandria ave in East Hollywood. Gary, owner-lead mechanic, runs the shop; he installed my tires in an hour. He gave a reasonable price for the tires and labor. Other popular shops will over charged you but not here at HSARS. Overall, it's a good auto tire and sales shop. I recommend this shop.

Gary was great, patient, and honest. Had my car up and running in no time, he even helped me get a relatively large dent smoothed out. Sidenote, he's also a great artist and showed off some of his beautiful work.
Will be getting all of my car related issues resolved here moving forward.

The light on my dash for a tire warning illuminated so I pulled in to get air and possibly some good used tires. The guy who greeted was really weird. After asking me what I needed and I told him about the dash light he just stood and stared at me for like 2 minutes. He said my tire pressure among the tires was inconsistent so I let him fill the tires. He filled each tire to pressure 40psi which I am certain is beyond the manufacturer requirement. The guy was creepy and made me feel so uncomfortable. I left, went around the corner and corrected the tire pressure. Never again will I go to this repair shop, appalled at the discourtesy I received.

Quick, decent price, good job, nice guys. What more could you ask for for an auto shop?

This is for the tire repair guy, Gary. He's a cool Armenian paisa, he's an expert with tires and more. He's great at repairing little details you always wanted fixed and he will do it for you. He's very honest and doesn't care about time, he's patient to even have a conversation with you. We need more technicians like him.

excellent service and communication, provided by Gary himself. Kind and efficient! Needed my car to be serviced with a lot of requirements and he helped me every step of the way on the same day! Very appreciative of him and his services and so close to my house. Definitely recommend.

TIRES!! Yes, they stock, sell and install tires, with the usual rotation, of course. Service is so fast -- about 20 minutes to replace 2 tires -- and very friendly. I'll go back again when I need a couple more tires, and before then will visit for an oil change and whatever else my vehicle needs (well, besides gas...I don't think l they offer petrol...hmm...I could be wrong). My suggestion: check here first and save yourself time, effort and money. Five Stars!

Gary is a magician, I had a hit and run on my rental, with a $1000 deductible with the rental company, I knew I was in for $500 to $600 out of pocket. Gary at 1/3 of the price made it all go away..
I am awe at his skills. So you want to see body shop magician.. he is the guy.
