Stayed here twice while in Philly for planned events. Overall good stay, staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is an additional cost per day.
IHG members get points for each stay and discounts on rooms. Rates are reasonable and higher during holidays and peak season...
2023 - $35 for park and leave, $39 for in & out parking per day plus tax etc.
Did the in and out parking since needed to drive to get to an event. They give you a separate card key for parking (green) vs the room key.
Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Bathroom is a little small with the sink outside the room. In-room safe if one chooses to use it to store valuables. If you forgot to bring certain toiletries, just ask the front desk.
There is a gym and pool in the hotel. Complimentary wifi and continental breakfast which is daily from 6:30am-10:30am ET. check in at 3pm and check out is 11am. Can check in /out via mobile as an option.
There is a wait for the elevator at times, so be patient.
Convenient location in Philly and walking distance to many places around - Love Park, Franklin Institute, Franklin Square, Chinatown and more...Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 50171315Sep 15, 2023
Great hotel in a good location too!! Going to keep this short and sweet.
Comfy beds
Soft towels
Excellent complimentary breakfast
Clean pool and gym
Walkable distance to all "tourist" sites/attractions
Only downsides I found was one of the three elevators were down. Elevators are small to begin with and it took a while to get up or down. Twice I rode up just to guarantee I got a spot going down. Staircase was not an option just to be clear. Emergency use only (I tried). And the parking is ridiculous, street parking is basically nonexistent and parking at the hotel is $39 daily, only plus is it does include in and out.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 1, 2022
Since my California trip in May, I've become a Holiday Inn fan. Our 2-night stay in Philadelphia's Midtown was no exception. This location was ideal for most public transportation & the rate was reasonable for the area, especially since I reserved very last-minute.
After booking our flights & buying our concert tickets 6 days prior, I looked at lodging options & finally decided on this property 3 days before our arrival. I'd never been to Philadelphia so I wasn't familiar with any of the neighborhoods nor the public transit (SEPTA). As it turned out, we were about 7 blocks from the Jefferson St train station (a hike at 10pm with heavy carry-on bags), which we'd used to travel from the airport. The next afternoon, when going to the Old City, we used the 21/42 bus from about 2 blocks away, and the same line back to a stop a half block away ... easy peasy. And that night, we were maybe 3 or 4 blocks away from a Mann Loop stop to take us to the Mann Center for our concert (why we were in Philly).
The hotel itself was very pleasant. Check in was quick & easy. Between the front desk & the elevators, I was delighted to find a water machine. Though cups were missing most of the time, I was able to fill up our water bottles repeatedly with fresh chilled water. And our room had a fridge & microwave! The complimentary breakfast each morning was good, with eggs, bacon & sausage, in addition to the usual continental offerings. Our room was a great size on the 14th floor, and I enjoyed sleeping in my own bed. We had so many pillows!!!
This Holiday Inn was a great choice for our impromptu Philly trip! There is a CVS about a block away, plus a bunch of bars, clubs & restaurants nearby. Across the street, the VIP Market had a lot of snack & beverage options, and was open late. Parking is available if needed, but we flew. I'd definitely stay here again if I return to Philadelphia.Helpful 16Thanks 0Love this 13Oh no 0 - john s.Chicago, IL0864Mar 25, 2024
I am not sure if all hotels in Downtown Philly have similar parking garages. It was $39 to park in the adjacent garage. The parking lanes have no margin of error. Pending who parks next to you, you may only be able to get in your vehicle from one side. You have to park piggyback, if your the second car, you need to give your keys to the attendant. The bottom line is if you have a nice car, I would recommend another hotel. Seems like there is a risk of getting dinged or scraped. The AC/Heater unit was not working. Everything else is what you may expect from an old hotel refurbished in a large city. Staff very friendly and breakfast area clean.

Just spent three days at this hotel... All I can say is how nice and helpful the staff was.. There were three events this weekend at the convention center and the hotel was extremely busy. The staff couldn't not have been more accommodating and helpful to all of us (about 40 people). Would definitely recommend

I checked into this hotel about 4 hours ago. First of all, the internet was down.. called the front desk and they gave me an 888 number to call for help (it was the wrong number!). Anyway, after some aggravation and a couple more calls, the wireless worked.
But more troubling.. just got back to me room after dinner and I have absolutely NO POWER... no lights, no AC, no power at all. I called the front desk and they told me that they have no idea what is wrong and they have no idea if and when the power will be back on!
So now it's 8:30 pm and I'm sitting in my room in the dark, trying to figure out what to do. I certainly will not come back here or go to any Holiday Inn express again after this experience. Would you?
Don't come to stay here... there are other hotels who know how to treat their guests properly in Philadelphia!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Steven L.Eastpointe, MI18Oct 3, 2023
Fairly normal looking Holiday Inn. Close to a lot of food options and bars if you're looking for a fun and wild night out. Staff at this location is awful. I somehow was staying in a room with a key but was never checked in so my key stopped working at night. Security is rude and condescending. If you have the option to stay anywhere else or another Holiday Inn (for your points) I would steer clear of here.

The staff was excellent. I stayed during a time when the computer systems were down. They had everything prepared so that our stay was not at all interrupted by this. I want to commend general manager Kidada and her team on excellent customer service. The hotel was also clean and well appointed. And in a GREAT location.

Friendly Front Desk staff. Overnight stay in Philly and it served our needs. Rooms are dated but clean. I was informed there was no restaurant for the evening so we went out to grab something. Parking was easy $35 at self park or $39 through hotel. Near clubs.

Friendly staff and lives up to the Holiday Inn Express stamdards.
We stayed here for 5 nights as we were vending at a convention over that weekend. The staff was all very nice and accommodating. Anything we needed, they had.
I would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in Philadelphia in the future.
***SIDE NOTE***
The hotel is adjacent to a Patriot Parking garage. They are not owned together but they are the parking garage if you choose to park at the hotel. Parking was $35 per day, which is reasonable for the area. I did have multiple negative experiences with the parking attendants, but its no reflection on the hotel.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
