Holiday Inn Express & Suites Saint Robert - Leonard Wood

We have stayed in MUCH nicer hotels for MUCH less money. There was a large spot in the carpet outside our room (327), that looked like it was perhaps where someone vomited. The major part of it had been cleaned up, but the stain in the carpet appeared to be quite old...and VERY obvious. There was rarely anyone at the front desk. The lighting in the room was certainly sub-par. No USB port charging. It "appears" it was an old hotel, that was updated on the cheap. Also, we had requested a QUIET room, so we were placed on the opposite side of the highway. However, there is a Bar & Grill on that side, which was probably noisier than the highway...until 2:00 in the morning. To be fair, one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in, is also a Holiday Inn. The one located in Spencer, Iowa. Maybe this one could take a lesson. I would not recommend this one to anyone!

Great Motel clean and wonderful breakfast. $180 a night for Holiday Inn Express is excessive. Lov d the stay but will not return not worth th expense when I can stay next door same amenities and expire CE for less than half the cost sorry HI

This is my go-to hotel when coming to St. Robert. I've been impressed before and this time it's even a little better. The breakfast is good, and the coffee is always hot and fresh. The oatmeal is instant, but there are enough condiments (raisins, walnuts, fresh banana, cinnamon) to doctor up plain instant oatmeal into something better than Starbuck's oatmeal. Although I like the walk-in shower, those rooms were already booked so I was put into a handicap accessible room. This room is spacious, especially the bathroom. The only down side is the vanity is too small to place anything more than a toothbrush on but i was able to make do. The bed is very comfortable, the room is quiet and clean, tv signal is clear.

I liked this place in comparison to Best Western, where we stayed our first 2 nights in town. The room is bigger, and more modern for only $20 more. Also they had plenty of outlets to charge our phones and tablets! But the carpet in our room was all ripped up. Seems like they could have given us a better room. It really sets a bad example to give a first time Holiday Inn guest that type of room.
I did like the pool, hot tub and work out room. And the breakfast had many options. The omelets were kind of rubbery, and they really make a big deal about them! The chef is so friendly, I just couldn't tell her they weren't so good.

I would probably stay here again. I don't like to spend too much money. I'll just ask for a room with good carpet next time.

Holiday Inn has really stepped its game up. The new renovations are absolutely bomb. The rooms are spacious and modern and even the complementary breakfast is on point. The staff here is also extremely polite and attentive. I wish the gym was a little bigger though and had more equipment. Especially being a hotel that services military members, we like to workout! The salt water pool is a great addition and really provides the hotel with an upscale feel. Great place to stay

Clean modern fit and finish. Saltwater pool/hot tub. Only gripe is that room candles and hallway torches would provide better light. 1st floor decently well lit but 2nd floor hall and room is way underilluminated. Otherwise safe stay for families.

This was an excellent week we stayed here. The hotel is beautiful and so clean. We were greeted with our names on a welcome board thanking us for our loyalty through IHG. The staff is it if this world and very responsive and kind. Loved it!

I traveled thousands of miles to see my BF graduate basic training from Fort Leonard Wood. Exhausted, all I wanted to do was listen to my ipod but in dismay the ipod player was not working. The customer service lady named: BRENDA was so helpful that she brought in 3 additional ipod players until one works. Thanks Brenda for going above and beyond and making my trip away from home that much more memorable!

The hotel room was very clean and comfy when I first arrived. But it seemed like the hotel maid came earlier each day where I wasn't able to get her to clean my room because I was still in it. First day was at noon, second day right before noon, last day was at 930. I only had my roomed cleaned once because of the timing. Bathroom was a great size and the hot water and water pressure were amazing!! Only thing id change about the room would be the Windows and lighting. I was on the bottom floor and felt a bit uncomfortable opening my curtains because the Windows had no tint to them, everyone could see right in. The lighting though was also crummy. Had to turn on every lamp and the one room light to make it any kind of functional light. Only way to get light would be to open the blinds, but like I said before it was uncomfortable how exposed my room was.
Oh! And my heater only went to 75. I'm a usual 77-80. I like it warm. So I was kind of annoyed I couldn't get warm without a bunch of blankets on.
Weird fact heater/AC went all the way down to 40 though:/ like, really!
The hotel pool and hot tub are cozy, floors are slippery when wet though. Weird because it's a pool with slippery floors.
When I was at the pool I folded my shirt and towel on the table behind me and stuck my feet in the hot tub. Probable in there for less then 15 minutes and realized my shirt and towel had been stolen. I went to the front desk to report it, but it seemed like they could care less. The shirt was new and I was kind of bummed someone had stole it.
Their breakfast was good, lots of bread options; wish there was a bit more verity of fruit. Juices were straight sugar! I added 3/4 water to my juices. The juice cups are crazy small too. Liked their verity of cereal and yogurt.
I probably won't stay here again because of my stuff being stolen, the room not getting warm enough and the crummy lighting.
