Hold Fast Brewing

Delicious beers and a fun food truck helped me enjoy a very pleasant evening in Springfield. I think the only thing that would have made it perfect would have been a power outlet near the table where I could have charged my laptop but that's really a minor thing.

Parking was a challenge and I was just about to leave when I spotted the lot across the street that said "Hold Fast Parking." We were this close to abandoning and losing this lovely time.

Friendly bartender, comfy space inside with a really fun vibe and yes, two delicious "Power Play Pilsner" beers while I enjoyed an insane hot dog from "Doggy Style."

I can see returning here especially now that I know the parking situation!

So this is a really cool place. When I was there they had a local jazz band playing on a Tuesday night. It was full of people but there is plenty of seating. The beer was very good with a nice verity. I had the 2 stouts. Queen of Stouts and Peanut Butter. Both were great. This is a great option for a local downtown brewery!

After lunch on a Friday afternoon, we stopped in here for a few drinks.
We sat at the bar and met, and talked to Carol, one of the owners. Mackenzie was behind the bar and took great care of us.
My husband tried a few IPA's and liked them. He usually drinks IPA's that are a little more hoppy, but he thought the ones he had were perfect for the afternoon and the weather.
I'm not a beer drinker, but I really liked the rum and coke slushy. There was definitely some rum in there.
The place is large and has a lot of tables/seating.
They have food trucks at night, bands, etc. all the doors (garage style) weee open and these was a nice breeze.
In addition to beer and a few alcoholic slushes, they also have ciders, wine, seltzers, canned cocktails, alcoholic popsicles, and nonalcoholic and gluten free beers.
Support local. Support women owned. Check them out!

FEMALE OWNED BREWERY! Need I say more? These owners have really thought about everything to cater to so many different types of customers!

One of the breweries on the Springfield brewery tour very nice place!!! Great location!!! But not my favorite IPA but I am very picky when it comes to my beer . But very cool place to visit!

Absolutely love the vibe here and their beer! It's an open air establishment with inside and patio seating. It was HOT outside, but they have several fans blowing inside that make a huge difference. All of the bartenders were super nice and had great recommendations based off of what we like. It was hard to pick a favorite! They have a great variety. The live music was nice and there was a food truck on site. Take note that the brewery doesn't serve food and there might not always be a food truck there. I believe they do allow you to bring food in though. So glad we stopped here and would recommend it to all craft beer lovers!

Flights of 6 or 4! Great vibe! Really nice outside space that opens up into the main space. Good swag!

The setting in here leaves nothing to be desired. The staff are thoughtful and friendly and make great suggestions. The beer is so good we got some to go! Will definitely be back next time we are in town.

I believe by far the best selection of beers in Springfield. Their old firehouse location has a great atmosphere with a people watching patio and bags in the back. Overall, every beer we had we enjoyed and would have again; Hold Fast Raspberry Wheat, Hold Fast Momo Peach Sour, Åbro Rekorderlig Pear (Päron), Hold Fast Full Bird Hefe

We loved this spot. You know it's going to be a great place to spend some time when you walk in and cute dogs are hanging out around the bar.

Most importantly, the beer was great. My personal favorite was the porter, but my wife loved the vanilla bean blonde the best. All that we tried were top notch!


The old fire station where it's housed was such a neat vibe, right down to the original fire pole. We loved that it was all women working in there (not something you see a lot at craft breweries) and one of the owners chatted for a bit and has a really cool story. She said she has been told she's crazy for starting this place, I think we'd all be crazy not to patron it and support it full force!

When we're in town again we will definitely be back! Thanks for a fun night.
