We had a good experience here. Great location, walkable to many places downtown. Room and common areas are clean, staff is friendly.

One star off for the pool being closed. That was the selling point and a deciding factor. Well it's closed for maintenance. Bummer.
Good location, big clean rooms, good coffee, big tv. The bar is great too-awesome cocktails and reasonable prices.
The city itself is going down the toilet: noticed lots of homeless scary people and shattered glass all around: in another hotel a window got smashed and replaced with wood, same for 7/11. And today I saw the reason the pool was closed for "maintenance"--somebody smashed the window and there were pieces of glass everywhere around the pool.
Out of all democratically run cities, Dallas is definitely way up there in terms of homeless crazies / smashed property. After coming back here a year later, it's noticeably worse.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Carrie M.TN, TN03Mar 21, 2024
During our repeated stays over the course of several months, we have consistently found great satisfaction in the hospitality provided by our bartender, Andres, and our morning server, GT. Andres consistently delivers impeccable service, making us feel welcomed with his prompt provision of beverages upon our return in the evenings, cultivating a sense of camaraderie akin to that of a trusted friend rather than solely a bartender. Similarly, GT ensures our mornings commence seamlessly by ensuring our coffee is promptly served and suitably hot. We eagerly anticipate our next visit next month, appreciating the exceptional service provided by both individuals.

I will never stay at this hotel again. I do not recommend this hotel. Even though it is centrally located in downtown Dallas, the staff and the service needs improvement. They treat people of color like we are trying to stay there without paying. The Manager David is the worst. New staff is needed. They have an app that saves you the time of going to the front desk to book additional nights or to check in or out but the staff requires that come down to the front desk to get the keys anyway. When you put the do not disturb sign on the door the housekeeping staff is constantly knocking on the door and asking when you are checking out. The furniture needs updating and the staff needs
classes on hospitality and diversity. I felt singled out and racially profiled because I'm a person of color. I spent a lot of money staying at this hotel . I should have been treated with respect.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jennie M.West Covina, CA132Apr 24, 2023
I'd give this location zero stars. Bad experience with valet. You pay $45 a night plus tax for them to have your car 45 min after you request it and find out the keys have been sitting in the lock box the whole time. Then when you tell the front desk manager he shrugs it off doesn't take accountability for the awful valet service. Had to call Hilton Customer Service and file a complaint to get my valet fee refunded because the manager didn't care and said "we have other customers that also valet" and I said I've never had to wait 45 minutes for valet that's a joke. Then he shrugged his shoulders like he didn't care. Will never stay here again.

I will start with the positive things I experienced while at this hotel.
1. Nice location with access to downtown area.
2. We had a nice view of downtown
3. David at the front desk and Anna at the downstairs restaurant were very kind and accommodating.
4. The breakfast we got from Cass and kitchen was pretty good! We have the pancakes and the dad's breakfast.
Regarding the not-so-good stuff.
1. Firstly, this hotel does NOT seem to clean their bedding! See the picture attached. The duvets were filthy. I called reception to ask for a new duvet, they brought me another dirty one that smelled so bad. It smelled so bad I had to leave it outside the room.
2. There appeared to be something weird and gross on the shower curtain. I don't even want to guess what it was. See photo.
3. Also know that there's no traditional Hilton Garden Inn dining option/area. There is a restaurant attached called cask and kitchen.
4. Lastly. Just know that valet parking is $40 per night.
Instead of relaxing enjoying my stay feeling pampered, I felt so uncomfortable all night and just couldn't wait to go home the next morning.
Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel and we won't be back again. I used to feel secure booking with Hilton, knowing that the space would be clean and comfortable, but that has not been the experience lately.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nicole S.Indianapolis, IN017Apr 24, 2023
Location was great, pool was lovely... but customer service *made* this place amazing. Extra shout out to David at the front desk and Justice in the restaurant for over-the-top kindness.

Bedding was not good.
Manager was nice about it, gave us another room. But still. Both our beds comforters were unacceptable ..Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Stephen D.Highland, United Kingdom1186166Aug 18, 2022
This is a tough one.
The hotel itself is good - good staff, good facilities, good location, large comfy rooms BUT the bedding is disgusting (see photos)
There is no way that the housekeeping team do not see these things and it is unacceptable on every level that bedding is considered fit for purpose.
The blood spotting on the duvet indicated bed bugs but having checked the mattress luckily there was no evidence of bed bugs.
This hotel could be a solid 4 or even a 5 if it simply replaced its linensHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alexandria C.Aurora, CO01722Aug 28, 2023
Hotel is in a great location downtown Dallas. Lots of shops nearby. The lobby is very nice. I thought the room was just ok - on the older side. The room was clean. Curtain was ripped so wouldn't close all the way. The front desk staff was very welcoming and courteous. Our room didn't get cleaned like we wanted. In the morning we requested our room to be cleaned while we were out for the day. We came back at 4pm and room still not cleaned. So we just had fresh towels brought up. Overall this hotel is ok if you want to be downtown. It's reasonably priced.
