The Dungeness crab eggs Benedict were very tasty. You could tell the crab was fresh and the hollandaise sauce was perfect. The chicken fried steak tasted a little tangy to the point where we left what we didn't eat there, where we would normally take it to go. The potatoes were excellent on both dishes!

As a customer, please do not expect to walk through the front door and be greeted with a hello or a smile. This restaurant desperately needs to hire another server, especially doing Seafood and Wine Festival. Our server did a good job, but she had more than six tables to wait by herself, as well as take all payments. There are two sides to every story, maybe they had a second server scheduled and something came up. In randomly speaking with a friend of mine at the time I was at the restaurant he had a similar experience months ago.

The food unfortunately was a disappointment. We ordered breakfast. The pancakes lacked any flavor unless a lot of syrup was added and even then I just tasted syrup. My husband's egg breakfast was ok, but the sausage that he ordered was a weird taste and texture, like it was a frozen patty, not homemade.
Sorry to say we probably won't hurry back.

Hilltop Cafe Bistro is a must go on the oregon coast! The food was homemade and delicious. I would recommend the breakfast potatoes and anything with the berry compote!

Sure they get busy on the weekend.

I will definitely be back to try their lunch/dinner menu.

Kids loved their grilled cheese sandwiches. I had a crab sandwich which was also great. Nice relaxed place to enjoy a cozy lunch.

4.5 stars for the good quality food.
Clam Chowder is very good, lots of clams in it, don't have flour in it at all.
Grilled salmon, wonderful, can taste the wood burned flavor, risotto is delicious!
The burger is also good, good home made tasty burger.
Crab cake is just ok, maybe more crab will be better.
Chocolate Torte is worth to try for dessert.
Nice service, cozy environment, outdoor seating with ocean view.

Not many choices for breakfast in this area, I was impressed with the great ratings for this place. It's a nice interior with indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside because I noticed the outdoor tables are right in the sun without any cover. The hostess was very nice. You have to order and pay right away and then the food is brought to your table. Portions are huge! I loved the potatoes fried with onion. Great flavor but didn't taste freshly made to be honest. Salmon crepes were ok. French toast was 3 gigantic slices and had nice cinnamon flavor. My quiche tasted great, although the crust was pretty greasy. I would order this again, it was very good. Crab Benedict did not impress my husband. He said it lacked flavor. Overall, this was one EXPENSIVE breakfast, but we left full and satisfied.
This would be a 5 star restaurant if they focused on quality vs quantity. But honestly, it was a good experience. Maybe im being a bit critical, but I do my best to be objective in my reviews.

I love Shannon, she's the best. Definitely a highlight.

Anyway, FINALLY tried Hilltop after driving by for years. It was solid. My french dip was tasty and my partner enjoyed his wacky fusion burger. The potato salad was pretty plain, but I still ate it. I'm sure we'll be back!

Super cute sit down cafe near the beach. Out of the way from the city which is nice. Super tasty food, i got the classic eggs Benedict. Very fast service. Food was out so quickly. Prices a little high but definitely would go again! Great place to have brunch on your beach trip

Great food, quick friendly service. We split the fusion burger (our servers favorite, and a new favorite of ours as well) & the central coast. Everything was cooked well, tasty, and very fresh. I usually don't care for lettuce on a burger, but it was so fresh and lovely I picked up and ate what fell off! I'm often a bit disappointed at most places we eat at the coast, but enjoyed hilltop so much today we plan to go back for breakfast tomorrow!
