In very stinky building. Only work by appointment which is stupid for a reflexology place. Doesn't look relaxing and it has Covid testing/vaccine place as soon as you walk in.

My friends and I just got here and the place is closed when it's supposed to be open....

Her office is clean and very soothing.

All started with an aching shoulder.
I decided to pay Micaela a visit after three weeks of pain and not being able to workout due to the injury.
Not only did she take care of my shoulder but also fixed a sprained ankle from a crazy Vegas weekend.

Left her business in total amazement, my shoulder is back to normal!

I literally just got out of my hour long session with Micaela. She is that amazing that I'm writing this up even though I have to be at a meeting across town in 7 minutes. Micaela is amazing. Not only does she KNOW what she's doing, she's so sweet you just want to hug her and eat her up right after.

You will NOT be disappointed I promise you. I get massages twice a month for cheaper and now that I've experienced Micaela's service, I won't be going back to$20/hour joints.

I've seen her twice now for neck muscle pain and upper body tension. I also have TMJ which I was in pain from and I feel such a relief. She always asks before we get started where I want her to focus on and then she goes to town. If you're a true yelper, know that this is a legit investment.

The building she's in deserves 3 stars but honestly you don't think about anything else once you're lying naked on the bed and she's working out your knots.

$50/hour cash but if you pay card there's a higher fee bc she doesn't have her own machine.

Great massage and very professional. I will be going back. Micaela has excellent hands and technique and gets in there when she finds a knot instead of just brushing over it. And she speaks Spanish!!!!

Micaela is awesome. She's professional, kind and has a really clean place. it's a little difficult to find so give yourself time to get there.

Anyway, I get intense knots just inside my shoulder blades and on a random Wednesday I couldn't take the pain. I yelped a nearby masseuse and Micaela's name popped up. I gave her a call and told her I'd be there in 10. She told me that she'd wait for me. Unfortunately, it took me 10 min to leave my office and I arrived 10 min late. Embarrassing. Thankfully she was totally cool about it. Right away she felt out my knots and started to work'em-out. I'm hooked and will definitely repeat.

First of all, the business has moved to the new location (between E. Santa Clara and 14th Street in San Jose), this is owned and operated by Micaela Torres. This review is purely from the quality of the massage.

I get to know Micaela because I train with her nephews (who is an up and coming MMA fighter and accomplished Muay Thai fighters). I have these chronic, stubborn knots in my shoulders and upper back (most likely from crossfit and boxing). So I went to see Micaela in her new location. I can tell right away that she really knows what she's doing. I am accustomed to all kind of massage and I am used with pain so I am bracing myself for those elbows to release the kinks out or even ready for her to step on my back ala Thai style way of releasing those stubborn knots.

To my amazement, she's able to release those crazy stubborn knots while making the massage very relaxing and rejuvenating. The second time I went to see her was a few days before my Muay Thai fight. I had quadricep contusion (a deep trauma in my thigh from heavy leg kicks). I went to see a different massage therapist a few days earlier, he was trying to release the knots inside that thigh and the pain was excruciating. When I went home, my thigh was so swollen that I thought I should go to ER.

After icing it a few days and got the swelling under control, I decided to see Micaela. Again, I am amazed at the technique difference. She could locate the knots right away and she said there was a bubble/air inside. She managed to get it out without the pain that I got a few days earlier.

I have since come back to see Micaela regularly. For the price that she charges, she's trully a blessing for people like me. I used to spend hundreds of dollars for deep tissue massages and still have issues here and there. With Micaela, she can make you relax and fix you at the same time. I have come to learn that harder doesn't mean better. I am so used to think that if I didnt' hurt during and after the massage, that means the kinks are still there but that's not the case here at all. On my last massage appointment, I actually snored in the middle of the massage lol.

She also does swedish and Reiki. I think she did some reiki on me during my quadricep contusion episode because I felt some warm energy coming from her palm while she was trying to soothe the pain/stubborn knots prior to releasing them.

Highly recommended for people who want to get quality massage without hurting your pocket.

If you can't get an appointment at Heavenly Massage it is because I practically live there. I found Micaela on Yelp. I have good luck with massage therapists so when I saw all the 5 stars and rave reviews, I decided to try her out. I could barely walk when I went to see her. I am suppose to have a knee replacement and already had one on the other knee. I was in pain 24/7 and needed relief. The pain had traveled to the rest of my body because I was limping so badly that it threw my whole body out of whack. I also have degenerated discs in my lower back so I had constant pain there as well.
Well, the first massage was very painful because my body was in such pain. When she tried to massage my left calf I practically came off the table. It hurt to touch it. It is amazing what we humans are willing to put up with before we cry "Uncle". 1 month later she can do a deep massage on my left calf and there is NO pain. The pain in my legs is gone and my sleep is so much better (no pain to wake me up). The pain in my back is gone as well. Because of the condition I allowed my body to get to, I do 1 1/2 hr. massage twice a week. Now I can walk further, can work out without suffering and happier because I am not in pain. Micaela is a successful action for me so I will continue to go to her. She is funny, warm hearted and a good person. Micaela, you are greatly appreciated!

This business is owned by the sole massage therapist, Melinda Torres. She operates out of a room in a small, no frills hair salon in the Alum Rock area of San Jose. Not the nicest part of town, however if you feel comfortable in the area, Melinda does offer a very good, thorough, effective massage for around $45 per 60 minutes. (I am a massage therapist, so trust me, I know what a good massage is.)

I first patronized Melinda about a year ago while on lunch from my externship in San Jose. The girls in the office had talked about a good, inexpensive massage spot near by, so I went looking for it. I never found the spot they were talking about but I did find Melinda.

Considering the area and the appearance of the on-the-street sign, I wondered initially if this were indeed a real massage therapy place or one of those OTHER types of establishments. I went inside and found Melinda, an older Latin woman siting in a corner of the shop doing alterations on a sewing machines. I asked about massage therapy, and when she told me that she was the therapist, I had to smile. I do love a female jack-of-all trades. Fierce.

After I had agreed on the price for an hour, (approx $45) Melinda showed me to a tiny massage room with gaudy decor. A boombox supplied new age music. It was freezing in the room, and Melinda asked if I wanted her to turn on the floor heater. I said yes. Luckily, the heater quickly warmed the room.

Despite the fact that this was far from a spa environment, (I could hear the hair stylist and her client talking in the next room) Melinda did give me an amazing massage for an affordable price. She paid attention to what I asked for in terms of pressure and focus. She used a lot of very effective pressure points all over my body. She also took me through stretches. I could tell she knew the body and her craft very well. I wound up going back for a second 90 minute massage a few weeks later. I would continue to go to Melinda still except that J no longer extern in the area.

If you are not concerned about neighborhoods or a spa environment and want an excellent massage for an affordable price, I would definitely recommend Melinda.
