I've always loved these pizza's and we've dined in and had them delivered for the past 19 yrs.
SO DISSAPPOINTED today. We can't order a sausage, mushroom pizza!!! WTF
So were paying over $40 for a medium taco pizza, and a medium sausage pizza, even though they advertise a Thursday special of $12 for a large one topping pizza. Good thing I have mushroom in the fridge......was supposed to be a night off of cooking......Oh Well lesson learned! Different pizza joint next time I want a night off from cooking!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lynn C.St. Paul, MN01May 7, 2023
Food is usually very good and employees very pleasant. The problem is you cannot rely on their hours VERY DISAPPOINTING. I had several people at my home this evening as I am moving. I had planned on ordering a variety of things to feed some very hungry people, Their posted at the restaurant ,on line and advertisement hours are that they are open until 8 pm.. At 7:z30 I called to order 4 large pizzas, 3 orders of 10 piece wings, and and a couple of burgers. I called twice and the phone just rang. I went to use online ordering and it said they were closed. This was on a Saturday evening which I would think is one of their busier ones. Now I know that this place has been struggling and I believe in supporting smaller neighborhood business, but you simply cannot treat your customers that depend on you like this! I am questioning myself whether I will be back.

Was in desperate need of a pizza delivery joint near my house!! I have pretty strong"pizza needs" from time to time.(or maybe once a week...) A lot of the places I have tried in St Paul have been sub par. I gave up on the famous twin cities pizza chain(I'm sure you know which one)when they failed to deliver my pizza.... yes I know, shocking!!
Hearthside has truly "delivered"!! I love everything about their pizza. Perfect cheese to sauce to crust ratio. They don't over load the toppings either. Plus it's cut into squares!! For some reason I really enjoying filling my plate with lil squares of edible love. Their cheese bread is also very tasty.
So happy to have a go to delivery pizza spot!
Keep it up y'all!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - 46244266Jan 4, 2020
We came here last night for dinner. It's a casual, lower end dine-in and take out pizzeria. We came at 5:30, it wasn't packed but still relatively busy. I think the biggest unenjoyable thing about our meal was our crabby pants toddler but he entertained himself for the most part under our table or looking at the video games. Service was quick and attentive. We ordered the boneless bbq wings, that came out prior to meal which was nice and a small build your own pizza with bacon, sausage, and green olives. I thought the good was good, I got full so that's always a good sign. The pizza is thin crust, cut in squares, with lots of gooey cheese. It was hot and fresh. They also have soft serve ice cream that I was looking forward to but someone in our party wanted to leave, so none this time. We would go back though.

They take your order and charge your card but do not deliver your pizza and then they shut their phones off so he can't call him to ask where your pizza is. They have great food but horrible customer service will not order again.

When I think of my ideal pizza restaurant, I imagine a delicious pizza with a wide variety of choices and outstanding service. Well, that is exactly what I experienced at Hearthside. Let me start off by saying thank you to our server, Joe. He was prompt, helpful and gave us friendly service with a smile. My group felt genuinely welcomed and we were greeted the moment we walked in. Joe guided us through the menu and helped us with just what we were looking for and the just the right amount of food for our party. The wide array of pizza choices were perfect and every choice was delicious. The only constructive feedback I could think of maybe a refresh of the interior, as it felt a bit dated. However, there was nothing that detracted from our experience. Anytime I'm in that area, it will be a top choice for me.

Family owned Italian place. Tucked away. Old school. Seedy part of town. Run down a bit. Been around forever. That's such an awesome recipe for success. Too bad they cooked the shit out of it, cause I was not impressed.
I ordered the baked mostaccioli. A staple of any good Italian-American restaurant. No meatball?! Not even an option for meat sauce?! Ok, fine I'll order a meatball with mine. Served on the side, really!? I guess I'd prefer the meatball to be warm also but that's just a hang up of mine. When done right, ricotta cheese mixed in can be quite good. This was not. It dried out the whole dish. Really dry. Hardly any red sauce. I had to ask for some extra red sauce. The ricotta made it really grainy also, not smooth like it could have been. There was a nice amount of cheese baked on top however.
A nice Italian spot to bring the family, right? I thought so, but there's not a kids menu or any good options in sight for them. In fact, when I asked the server if they had a kids menu she looked like a deer in headlights. Then snapped out of it and said that they could order a small cheese pizza maybe? Was that a question or a solution? Not sure, just bring the cheese pizza. The pizza was passable but certainly nothing special. The sauce didn't have much of a snap. The crust was fine but I've definitely had much better. A cheese pizza can be the real test of how good a pizza joint is. This didn't pass that test in my mind.
I will say that the dinner salad was good. Just iceberg lettuce but came with mozzarella, croutons, onions, and a really zingy and tasty homemade Italian dressing.
There's plenty of great Italian restaurants in the Twin Cities area, next time I'd probably check out one of those.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0
