I've been to a lot of farmers markets and this one is one of my favorites so far. I went on a really cold rainy fall day. The organizers told me that so many vendors didn't come because of the rain, there wasn't live music, and a lot of food trucks didn't come. It was still wonderful. The vendors were really welcoming and happy to talk to you. I met Deena who is a beekeeper's wife. She was warm and friendly. I also met Thierry and Lucas. Thierry is a amazing French chef. His food was great. I met a really friendly florist. It was cold and wet and I got some nice warm food from Thierry and walked to the beautiful train station to enjoy the view. You can see the Hudson River and the pretty hills. Thierry actually heats his amazing French food. A lot of time at markets you have to settle for cold quiche and pastries. There's free parking. You'll see an old bridge that has a cute house under it. Yes, it isn't as popular and touristy as other markets, but it's really one of my favorites.

It's a cute little market! Actually better than the one in Brooklyn at the grand army plaza we would say.
Very easy to get to, just walk from the metro north station.
But you will want to go earlier if you want more stuff, we were there around noon, and most of the stalls were half empty. And I wish they open till later instead of 1PM.
We will definitely come back next time!! And in the AM!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 24318779Jun 11, 2016
So I'm sitting here looking at the Hudson while having a crusty roll, amazing Camembert and the ripest, sweetest strawberries for Saturday breakfast. All from the farmers market.
Artisan breads, wonderful produce, herbs, baked goods fashioned in the European style of your grandparents or great grandparents as the case may be.
Spices and yogurts in the Lebanese tradition, authentic Mexican tacos and elote, herbal teas and tinctures, cheeses, pickles, sweet and savory jams. Breakfast foods to grab and even crepes of all sorts.
Music and a river view. Bring cash. Some vendors take plastic.
Bring a reusable bag to Hastings. No more plastic bags. Anywhere. That can be difficult if caught unaware.
Parking can be tricky but something opens up either in the street or at a meter. After that stroll around the town. Very cute. Hasn't changed in over 50 years and that's good.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Tracie G.Rochester, NY37720820Jul 17, 2021
Decent selection of a variety of items but not all vendors come weekly. The prices for various produce, specifically the berries are a bit pricey. My farmers market in Depot Square in Tuckahoe have much better prices for that.

One of the better farmers market in Westchester! It's at the library lot during the summer and the selection is excellent. Produce, meat, dairy, duck, seafood and the best part is that there are food vendors as well. So you can do your shopping and have breakfast or lunch. Wild Culture is one of my favorite vendors as their waffles are amazing!

Loved it there. Nice farmers market with good produce. I only went for produce and didn't check out the other stuff. But I am planning to go back and explore more. I'll report back.

Loved all the produce, the handmade cutting boards were beautiful. I bought one as a gift for my sister and the pickles are a favorite!

Saturday mornings in the public parking lot behind Hastings-on-Hudson's town hall one can find a really great farmers market. not only does it have great produce in better quality than you're going to find in grocery stores around here there are also bakers, brewers, sellers of brined foods (pickles) and exotic(to some) meats like duck. all with a lovely view of the Hudson.
It's just fun to walk around and see this and get ideas. The people there, patrons and sellers are all friendly because it's just fun. The people there are all interested in good food and bringing in what they can. Because the produce is limited by the season, do not go looking for X. Go to see what they have and see what it inspired you to make.
The one down side. is actually the location. Yes it's in the middle of town with a great view. but it occupies the only easy parking! You either walk there. us meters for parking or park down the hill in the train station parking lot-which is free on weekends. It's not so far but the freaking hill-a part of the palisades, is so steep one imagines Sherpa might be needed. If you've ever been to Seattle, you'll know what I mean. But it is worth the trip.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jennifer V.Yonkers, NY012Dec 7, 2020

Always thought that Hastings Farmer's Market is one of the better things that can be done on Saturday mornings. Just love it, and kind of missing it since I moved to the West coast. But now I am back, excited more than ever to come back and start a beautiful weekend morning here
