Hashi Sushi

I meet friends here for lunch a lot as it's the best sushi around. Very fresh, fun cozy atmosphere. Service great too. Dinner is also great here, must make it there more often! We are picky about our sushi as we have been eating it since the 1970s, and have lived in Asia. You can't fool us with inferior quality.

I chose this place based on Yelp reviews and it didn't disappoint. We were in town for a soccer game and after the game the girls were in the mood for some sushi. Parking was tough as there were no spots available on the street, so I parked in the back across the street in the bank lot, luckily it was 8pm and it's not open.
Once we walked in we were greeted by staff, and were pleased by the inside decor, as it has a nice authentic Japanese scene. Ordering was easy and kids got the sushi rolls they wanted and those Japanese sodas. I got a a rainbow roll and a Godzilla roll and a bowl of chicken fried rice. The girls got California rolls tuna rolls. The total bill was $125 + tip. So, it's what I expected to pay for good food and service in a nice area. I recommend if you like Sushi or Japanese food.

Amazing sushi! Beautiful restaurant and the food is delicious! Apparently this is a new sushi restaurant for New Canaan. The atmosphere is beautiful, I love the cherry blossom tree in the middle. The sushi itself was fresh and delicious, on par of west coast LA sushi like Katsuya. I had the spicy tuna with crispy rice and at first it came out with avocado (which I didn't know, I'm intolerant to avocado) but they quickly made a new one without avocado and had a spicy crunch tuna! My hubs got the sashimi meal and loved it. I'd definitely go back again! Glad New Canaan has an amazing sushi spot now!

It hurts me to post this review yet I need to be honest spelt, my experience recently. Went there for quick chow with some friends. And found black hair in two different dishes. (Certainly not mine as I don't have black hair). I obviously brought this to the attention of the waiter and they removed the dishes asking if I wanted something different. I obviously obviously declined because somewhere along the line of whose overseeing or handling this food. Something just not normal. So the two dishes that were ruined were about $25 they gave me a few dollars dollar discount. Honestly, they shouldn't even charge me for the whole meal. Seeing that it's somewhat of a higher end establishment, you would think this would've been a given. I'm on the fence if I'm ever gonna go there again by myself or with family/friends

Take out shush winners for sure. In the area this place and Tzen have the best chirashis around. The pieces are quality and generous. I like Hashi Sushi's chirashi better than Tzen's. Why? Because Hashi Sushi's Chirashi comes with ikura!! Check out the image I posted on the take out chirashi from Hashi. If you dig deeper, you'll also see the chirashi from Tzen. You decide which one you like.

Driving through and found Hashi Sushi. Super fresh and excellent sushi. Place was very busy doing take out and seems like a local gem. Definitely will return when in the area.

We ordered takeout from this place and were very disappointed. Although the atmosphere looks lovely and the staff were nice when we picked up the food, it was just not good. All of the food was very bland, and the beef nagamaki was inedible. We are not picky eaters but neither of us could force ourselves to finish that dish. The sushi was bland, even the spicy rolls weren't spicy. We won't be eating here again unless there are significant changes in the kitchen.

Fantastic, high quality sushi. They also have many other dishes for folks who aren't keen on sushi, which are very delicious. The staff is friendly and the interior design of the restaurant is very cool. It is pricey but not crazy especially considering it's location in New Canaan.

Ordered take out for lunch. I ordered online and they text you when it's ready which was convenient. I ordered seaweed salad and spicy crab roll. Very fresh and tasty. The restaurant itself was very clean and beautiful. Will be back to sit inside and have a nice dinner.

Pre-pandemic had quite a few lovely lunches here - the ambience is quite sweet and magical with the forest-like theme. Still love getting takeout - their bento boxes are more than filling and always cooked to perfection.
My absolute fave here is their toro tartare - the "chips" and flavors and mince of the toro is one perfect flavor bomb in your mouth - super tempting to lick the takeout container clean ....
