Harvest Restaurant & Bar

I was looking for a good seafood restaurant in the area and this place was top rated. The food and atmosphere did not disappoint. We were first going to be seated inside which the noise level was a bit loud. We chose to sit outside on the patio which was not crowded and sat next to a heat lamp for comfort in the 60° weather. The band was playing at the plaza so we enjoyed the music from the patio during dinner.

Emily, our excellent server, brought us nice crispy French bread pieces with butter to eat while waiting for the meal. We ordered the salmon bowl which was very yummy. It was a noodle dish with stir fry vegetables topped with salmon and my friend got the caprese chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and sauted mushrooms. Both dishes were excellent and we finished with brown sugar pecan cheesecake .

New year, 2 visits back at Harvest. Over the year, they seem to have worked out many of the kinks they had last year. There are still some issues.

If you are a vegetarian or pescatarian, be careful with what you are ordering. I've had good luck with the salmon, but always order with sauce on the side the kitchen has a tendency to drowned everything in sauce.

Table side service remains very strong. However, on both visits, many tables were left, dirty and unbussed. I have to wonder if perhaps some of Governor DeSantis's hardline views on immigration have limited the availability of dining room staff to clear tables. Empty, tables with dirty dish and glass wear are very unpleasant for the diner still in the dinning room to look at.

Overall I give FMK restaurants highmarks. FMK has improved the Villages food scene 100%. Every Villagers should be thankful for the work they have done. And tip your server.

Service is spectacular ... there are a lot of hospitality people that are not getting paid a decent wage right now ... so they are motivated to get the service part right...

However, This restaurant brought all the food for myself & my mother ... out to us ... lukewarm almost COLD.

The manager came over to rectify the situation and he was very very nice. He sent the food back to the kitchen to get warmed up ... it came back almost COLD again ..... the manager explained that it was the kitchen staff that were to "blame".., this may be so but as a Manager and as a Restaurant and as a Business in the Business of FOOD... ... aren't you supposed to be IN CONTROL of your own kitchen staff ?? ?

This situation does not make any sense to me and I don't care how nice the server and managers are ..., I want my food HOT and FRESH and at the correct temperature.

The manager DID comp the whole meal ... which was nice .... But I would be very wary of Harvest getting anybody's order correct or serving it at the perfect temperature.

Great experience tonight for dinner. We had a large party for dinner and what was nice is the entire staff including the management helped with waiting on the tables. Food was excellent service was great and atmosphere was beautiful

Enjoyed the cherry glazed pork chops and the fig prosciutto salad. Both excellent choices

Agree with many of the reviews. Overall really good meal.... Scallops, chicken and shrimp all very good. Only knock was service. Our server was great but it took forever to get drinks!!! Just don't go very hungry or thirsty and you'll be fine!!!

Have always heard great things about Harvest and always wanted to give it a try, but we would always arrive on a Friday or Saturday night during season and it was always packed!
We managed to make it today on a rainy Sunday in summer and was delighted to see we arrived in time for Brunch.
The staff couldn't have been nicer and more attentive. The food came out quickly and was delicious!
We tried the Squash Blossoms for an appetizer with mimosas. Then we had the Bacon & Cheese Frittata and the Loaded Waffle.
If you are in the area of The Villages, stop of for beautiful place to have brunch as well as other meals.

We celebrated our anniversary here one year ago and it was so special. There was a card from them in the table.
Tonight we are hanging out at the outside bar, listening to music. I'm drinking club soda, my husband has his bourbon and Coke. Our bartender/server is Luke and he's really good. Not too loud, not too quiet, just right.
We order food and we are finishing up and discussing how it's been the best food we've had on this visit and maybe we should return here tomorrow night for our anniversary dinner.
My prime rib sandwich was divine and my husbands seafood gnocchi bowl was incredible. Delicate flavors, perfectly prepared . thank you.

The place was a great experience and they had seating outside, which was wonderful because we were right next to the bandstand and the service was impeccable. Truly recommend.
