About the Business
Making delicious wines of high personality is directly related to the difficult locations of our vineyard sources, the limited production of our bottlings and the varietals we use. Please come visit our second Tasting Room right in the heart of downtown Healdsburg and experience our expressive, personality-rich Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays and old vine Zinfandels.

Came by for an afternoon tasting while out in down town Healdsburg with a friend.
Hartford has done a beautiful job with the interior design of their tasting room - it feels fancy, definitely the "Healdsburg" aesthetic you expect for the area.
The set up at the tables came with a map and cool looking wine list. I was a little bummed our host didn't go over the map with us or give us a whole lot of info regarding the wines being served. We did get to try a few wines not on our flight list which is always a nice treat. While the wines we tried didn't completely wow me, it was still an overall pleasant experience.
If the weather permits I definitely recommend the outdoor seating.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kristen P.San Francisco, CA081Oct 23, 2023
Lisa is a wonderful host and the person to check out at this location! Very knowledgeable about the history of the winery and wines. Enjoy a nice walk and food in the square after your visit! Planning our next tasting soon. Highly recommend!

Fabulous wines, truly. I was lucky enough to have a coworker recommend this place and have been returning to it every trip to Healdsburg since. Plus the staff is attentive, welcoming and fun!

We walked in and enjoyed a tasting with Becca. The wine was great and Becca was a great source of local information. She suggested several wineries which we enjoyed and we followed her advice when visiting nearby Bodega Bay the next day. We had a great time during our tasting and ended up buying a couple bottles of wine. Check it out when you're in the town square area.

Overall: Lovely enough experience that I'll return. Very friendly people, though I was taken aback when we were asked by the young lady who had poured our second two wines, "What can I wrap up for you?" rather than "May I wrap something up for you?" or "Would you like to take something home today?" The phrasing was oddly presumptuous, if well-intentioned, and made me uncomfortable. We didn't like the wines enough to spend $70 per bottle. We agreed that they were pleasant enough but not knockouts. From my conversations with others, I'm fairly confident there are knockouts to be found at Hartford; we just didn't taste any during our visit.
The place: Elegant, bright, spotless. (Also, I'd like to have a wine refrigerator/cabinet exactly like the one in their tasting room.) The room is cozy and well lit, with an upscale yet casual atmosphere. Four wines were poured for us: one chardonnay, two pinot noirs, and a zinfandel. They were good; not groundbreaking. We did enjoy them, but not enough to buy a full bottle of anything. In any case, our time there made for a good first visit, and we'll try again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jack S.Poughkeepsie, NY110316Dec 30, 2016First to Review
Nice place, friendly people and a quieter, classy atmosphere.
The wine is more on the subtle side of Pinot noir, but good stuff albeit expensive.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Rebecca S.Shawnee Hills, OH03174Jul 8, 2019
My husband and I stopped by this winery while our parents walked around. We ended up doing a tasting and the server was able to serve us fairly quickly as we were in a time crunch. Halfway through, my in laws joined us and they each had a glass of wine. Turns out two glasses of wine costs more than two tastings! Anyways, wine was good and sitting on the patio was nice.

This place was recommend by Tony at Saghesio. Well thank you Tony. We had a great time here. The 2015 Fog Dance Vineyard Pinot Noir was my favorite. Also have the 2014 Dina's Vineyard Zinfandel was very good. Becca was very Knowledgeable about her wines. She made our experience very pleasant. I would come back here in my next trip here.
