I'm down here several times a year, always saw this place finally decided to give it a try. You may have to fight a wait but let me tell you, it's all worth it in the end. Steak was fantastic and all the sides were amazing as well. Plus being a hunter, the cool mounts on the wall are always a plus. Definitely recommend if your down this way. Will not disappoint!

We often frequent Harry's. Our experience today was horrible! Our waitress was having a bad day and she apparently was not getting support from her co-workers. Our food order arrived at our table wrong after a lengthy wait. It may be awhile before we visit again.

While on a camping/shopping trip to the area my gf and I visited on Thursday night. I must day I did not enjoy the atmosphere. It was like they hung every stuffed animal head they could buy on the walls. I suppose they're going for a hunting lodge feel but there's much work to do there. We ordered fried pickles with out drinks to give us time to look over the extensive menu. Several minutes later we ordered our meals and still no appetizer, which appeared about 20 minutes later, just before our entrees. Not good.
My cajun chicken pasta had the consistency and taste of something La Choy might have put in a can. Pretty unappetizing and unpleasant. My gf's pork tenderloin sandwich (the official state food) was the smallest and most tasteless she had ever had. We will not be going back.

The food was excellent. Don't really think the cut of steak was worth the price, but it was prepared well. Everyone had something different which speaks to how diverse the menu is. Somehow we got an order of green beans when we had ordered fries...the waiter was told but fries where never brought out.

If you don't like taxidermy as an art form, the decor might be off-putting, but for 4 weary travelers, it was a clean and comfortable dining room.

All in all, it was a positive experience...food was good, even the green beans, and for a busy Friday night, service was prompt.

Stopped in yesterday with a large group of 15 for dinner and they were able to accommodate us immediately! We all ordered a wide array of dishes from seafood to pasta to steak and everyone enjoyed their food. The service was also very quick especially given our group size. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a family friendly dinner while in Madison!

Just arrived in Madison for a "getaway" weekend, planned on going to 'Shooters' for late lunch and found out they had closed permanently. :( Well my wife picked out Harry's and it turned out to be the RIGHT choice! Food was spot on, onion rings appetizer delish! Beer was super cold snd our server was top notch!!
      Would definitely recommend!

We stopped at Harry's after a movie and we're so disappointed with the experience. The decor was overwhelmingly, geared to hunters, not a relaxing environment . The service was slow and the food was cold, not freshly prepared. The table was set up with bread plate, no bread was provided. Neither of us were able to eat our meals and left. Won't be going back again and can't recommend.

Food is fabulous but customer service needs work. I went to eat and asked for a booth. The girl was obviously new and said there were no booths available when we are standing in front of several empty booths and it's not even 5 pm yet. I'm not going to disagree, I'm just going to take my business elsewhere. If I'm going out to eat steak and enjoy my meal, I'm going to be there a while and would like to be comfortable. Too bad for them because it would have been a big bill and I was planning to have our company party there. Not now.

The sirloin I ordered was too tough to chew. My potato was cold, and my waitress was pitiful. My wife did like her smothered chicken.
