First time coming here and most definitely will be the last.

I asked for a dip manicure and the mail teach kept trying to push a gel manicure on me the entire time even though I told her that's not what I want. Then the color I chose looked nothing like the color on my nails I asked her about it halfway through she said it would turn out to the color I chose and it certainly did not.

I didn't have time to stay for her to completely start over because I had work and had already been there over an hour. The nail teach and gal at the front desk were extremely rude and unapologetic about the situation.

Can you give zero stars! This place did a horrible job and it was painful the entire time! I can't believe they would even let us leave. I walked back in after paying and leaving because I was so horrified that I just paid $80 for fills and they looked horrible. The shape, the thickness, and they couldn't even apply chrome correctly. I'm embarrassed to walk around with nails looking this bad. I will NEVER step foot in to this place again. Just because a nail shop is in Irvine and charges Irvine prices doesn't mean they have the skill or talent to do acceptable nail.

I made an appointment for 10am, arrived at the salon and they didn't take me till 10:20,
I asked if someone else is available and very rudly the lady responded that they are all busy.
It seems like every time you make appointment they just don't care, very unprofessional. I would never try this place, I have tried couple time with them and they are always over booking and they get walk in costumer out of their staff capacity to make money.

As someone who never really enjoyed getting their nails done, I can honestly say that Daisy at Happy Nails has completely changed my mind. One of the things that has always made me hesitant to get my nails done is feeling rushed or guilty for asking for designs. But with Daisy, I never feel rushed or like my requests are a burden.

Over the years, I've had mani-pedis done by various nail technicians at Happy Nails with varying results. But since working with Daisy, she's become my favorite nail tech period, and I always request her when I make an appointment. She is truly an expert in dip powder manicures, and always takes the time to make sure my nails look perfect.

Daisy is not only skilled at her craft but is also kind, gentle, and so much fun to talk to. She shapes my nails perfectly, leaving my cuticles looking pristine, and always adds cute little nail designs that make my nails look unique and fun. She's the reason I find myself back at Happy Nails for some much-needed self-pampering every three weeks.

If you're looking for an amazing nail experience, I highly recommend requesting Daisy. I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure here a couple months ago. It was last minute and I needed a salon that would take me asap, which is how I ended up here. When I walked in I was quickly handed a book of gel polishes, which only had about 60 colors. This sounds like a lot but if you've ever been to a salon you know there's tons and tons of rings of different colors so this was super limiting and disappointing.

I was one of two clients in there and there was no music and there isn't a tv. I got my nails done in dead silence. When my nails were done I was mostly satisfied with them. There were some nails where they clearly missed the sides and I tried to look past that. The gel polish began lifting after about 6 days. This shouldn't happen, which tells me the polish wasn't applied correctly. This salon is the same price as the nicer nail salon located in the University Town Center. I don't recommend Happy Nails unless you're in a bind and need to get in that very same day. Otherwise, take your money down the street.

I'm so surprised to see these negative reviews! I'm new to area and stopped by without an appointment. Clean and hygienic & wonderful service. Took me in right away for pedi and even fixed a chipped nail from my manicure the staff is so sweet. I really recommend coming here!!

Have given this place so many chances. Specially because it's very close to me. But every single time I get my nails done they have disappointed. I talked to the owner or man that sits in the front and only said I can go back to fix it but I don't feel comfortable since the nail tech that did it the first time is unhappy that I have complained and is in such a mood. This last time I learned my lesson and will avoid this place at all.

I am still appreciated the fact they took care of me very last min and were someday kindly...

Update: I've got been doing Polish pedicures for years, religiously. This was the first time the Polish started to chip after a week and half?!

Additionally, the jewels were not applied in correctly or gelled over, I made a comment but argued. Within a 7 days my jewels and over all quality did not hold up well. It was convenient but I wouldn't go back.

I've been to this place a few times and each time I tell myself I should look elsewhere because honestly, the job they do on your nails is not what I would expect from a professional salon. Half the time it looks like I did them myself and I'm always going back a couple of days after the service to get ones that have already broken repaired. And yes they do charge for these repairs! They could do a smoother job, the polish looks lumpy like they are using expired bottles.

And despite the fact that I have been in there quite a few times, they can be extremely rude. They don't say thank you or goodbye when you leave and I really hate it when there is a lot of laughing going on between them when they are working on me and I don't understand their language. I may not understand the words but I'm not an idiot when it comes to tone of voice, looks, or gestures.

And the last time I went in, I had two nails broken after a day and a half. One was so far down it was starting to rip where it bleeds. I go back there to get it repaired. The man tells me to sit and wait my turn. I hadn't even complained at that point. It was busy so I figured I would be waiting for a bit. And so I did so patiently. After half about half an hour a girl and her boyfriend waltz in, no appointment and say they both want to get their nails done. And they are immediately ushered to one of the nail technicians. I got up and said, I was here before them and I've been waiting over half an hour to get just two nails repaired. The owner said, you need acrylic, this technician doesn't do acrylic. So I was fine and sat down to wait even longer. And then the owner ushers me to the back as if it were my turn. I sit at a back table watching some lady who works there do her own nails. And then when I turn around, go figure, the girlfriend is getting acrylics done by a new nail technician. .

So that's why he had me sit at the back so I wouldn't notice. It's all about the money, I had already paid mine the day before so they weren't too worried I guess. Had they been done properly I wouldn't have had to waste my time coming back! I had been waiting over an hour at this point and I was over it. I let the guy know how rude and wrong that was and left extremely upset. I will never go back so they lost a regular customer. I ended up going to 333 nail salon on Campus Drive. Very upscale, huge color selection, no waiting and the same price!

I absolutely loved the French tip done on my hands and feet! Will definitely come back :)
