Hair Bears

Gayle is great with kids. She has a little car that kids sit in to get their hair cut. She take instruction well. I didn't want it too short and she cut the length perfectly. Great people skills. Super friendly. Koa had been here a total of three times now.

She has lots of toys to keep kids busy, a basket of lollipops, and a huge helium tank to blow up a balloon at the end for the kids to take.

She's been cutting Koa's papa's family's hair for over 30 years!

I'll be coming here for Koa's haircuts every time we are in town and will probably even schedule a visit to nana and papa Allen in the OC around it's time for him to get another hair cut!

It's my son's first time.

I was nervous since I don't know how he will react to the buzz and cut. But, thank goodness he had a good reaction and a good experience.

100% come here. Don't even wait... just text her and schedule an appointment! Our toddler has had his haircut by several different people and places and Gayle is the best. For the first time, my son didn't freak out. If you just observe her interact with kids, you know that she's a professional at working with kids. She knows how to talk to kids and make the haircut more "fun" for them, especially toddlers! Not only was she quick to make my son feel comfortable getting a haircut, his haircut was really good! Gayle knows how to work with my son's swirl on the back of his head... first time ever, my son left a haircut without little hairs sticking out at the top! She's amazing!

Hair Bears is our go-to spot! Lynda always does my son's hair and is so sweet and fun to chat with. She is so great with little kids, especially toddlers, and totally helps my son overcome his nerves. Getting his hair done is not at all stressful anymore, and he gets excited now to see his "friend" for his cut and get his balloon and candy afterward. Call or text for an appt and they will take great care of you!!

Gayle is the best with little kids! Very chill vibe and is really great at distracting the kids with her spray bottle of water. If you're looking for an experienced hairdresser with great results, go see her!

Great place for kids' haircuts! Have been here twice with my 7 yr old and 2 yr old. Both times had great results! The owner is very patient while cutting hair and extremely thorough. You definitely don't feel rushed. She definitely has a way with little ones to make them feel comfortable. And, of course, the results speak for themselves! Highly recommend!

Long overdue post. Gayle is excellent with kids haircuts- especially boys. Reasonable pieces and great cuts. Highly recommend.

Came because of the promising reviews, however the haircut was mediocre. You're better off going to a haircut chain.

We found this salon on Yelp and took our son here for his very first haircut. This place is the perfect spot to take a young child who needs a haircut. They have lots of toys to entertain the kids. My son loved sitting the barber chair shaped like a old car. We will definitely be taking our son back here for his future haircuts.

Gayle cut my sons hair not too long ago and she was absolutely amazing. My sons the shy type but warmed right up to her and let her work her magic.

Absolutely fantastic children's hairdresser. Children's specialists are few and far between and Gayle and Cookie have been doing this for 30+ and are consummate professionals. They cut my hair from the time I was 18 months until I moved away to college and now they cut my son's hair when we are in town visiting the grandparents. I would wholeheartedly recommend you set up your own long term tradition at Hair Bears with your child!
