We've used Hadeed for three services:  oriental rug cleaning (twice), wall-to-wall carpet cleaning (twice) and ceramic tile cleaning (once).  Each is reviewed separately.

    Oriental Rug Cleaning

Hadeed has three of our orientals now; this is the second time we've used them.  We've also used other services, and I review them separately.

The first time, we had pet damage.  Hadeed was able to repair the rugs--it was expensive, but they're valuable rugs, much more valuable now that they've been repaired.  They did a great job!  I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the result.

The shampooing of the rugs was also excellent.  And we give very high marks to the courtesy and professionalism of the people who picked up and delivered the rugs.  The delivery guys did a great job of getting the pad and furniture all carefully and properly arranged.

I'm pleased that we have Hadeed to help us extend the lives of our rugs, and I'm happy to trust them with the rugs.

    Wall-to-Wall Carpet Cleaning

Hadeed just completed cleaning our second-floor wall-to-wall for the second time.  They use a big machine in a truck, with several lines that run from the truck into the house, with hot water, vacuum and electrical power.

We had an excellent result from the first cleaning about ten years ago, so we hired them again.  We had a great team, with Julio and Jonathan.  They did an outstanding job of protecting the marble floor their lines ran across, that was also their walking path to the truck.  Julio, leader of the team, was particularly enthusiastic, a real pleasure to have working in the house.

They did an outstanding job; after 25 years, our carpet on the second floor now looks like new.  They worked about a half day, and after they left we had to stay off the carpet through the afternoon because it was still damp.

We are very happy with the result, and will not hesitate to use them again and recommend them highly.

    Tile Cleaning

We had Hadeed clean the ceramic tile floors in two rooms the same day that  the wall-to-wall carpeting was cleaned.

Here, too, the results are so good they are startling--both the floors look like new.  We were looking for clean, but this surpasses our expectations.

The work of Julio and Jonathan on this job, too, was very careful as well as thorough.

Again, we'll use this company another time, without reservation.

Be sure to watch their Web site for price specials; if you're just a bit patient about timing your cleaning call to Hadeed you'll get a better price.

watch out for the bait and switch

phoned hadeed, they quoted me $200 minus 20% off using their online coupon
they call me a few days later after pick up for the deposit over the phone; i provide them payment; no mention of an updated quote or additional charges

they deliver my carpet and show me the invoice and try to charge me $300! they told me since my carpet was hand made and not machine made(how do I know?), they charge more; I ask why they failed to mention that over the phone; asked for a supervisor.

i asked the supervisor, "is it your standard business practice to make a quote, increase the quote and FAIL to notify the customer of the increased charge and move forward with the work without customer authorization?"; the supervisor says YES!

WOW - after yelling at him, they finally agreed to bring it down to $155; i agreed and paid the remaining balance

reading the previous reviews for this place, the bait and switch seems to be SOP

We had recently did a major renovation of our kitchen. After it was finish our ceramic tile floors looked shabby next to the new kitchen. I shopped around for floor cleaner companies, and although I found one cheaper, which their price struck as odd, I chose to go with Joe Hadeed. After speaking with Bob Perotti I felt very confident that the slightly higher price was because they knew what they were doing and advised what was best for me and didn't try to sell me unnecessary services. The floor looks amazing. I could not be happier. The workers did an excellent job. They were very neat and efficient. I highly recommend this company. As they say you get what you pay for and it was worth the price.

Well my review will pretty much mirror the other one star reviews.

Contacted Hadeed carpet after hearing of special being offered. Called with EXACT rug size and composition. Received quote over phone and wife was savvy enough to ask for written email quotes (very smart).
Crew came to pickup rug in small beat up van, they would have had to fold the rug in half or let it hang out the back, we said no.
Two days later they return with a SLIGHTLY larger van, the rug barely fit inside.

After a few calls to schedule delivery they could not give us a definite finish date so we waited for word back from them. Well as we are driving to the airport for a trip overseas we get a call from our house keeper that the carpet people are at our house to deliver the carpet. And here is the kicker, they presented her with an up charge invoice that was almost 50% more than the original quote. After almost an hour on the phone and showing that we had the original email quote they relented and grudgingly left the carpet rolled up in the kitchen where it stayed for 2 weeks until we returned.

This seems to be their modis operendi, quote low price then charge significantly more at delivery with some trumped up reason.  Definitely not a well run company nor a particularly honest nor reputable one.  STAY AWAY.

The only positive would be that the rug seems well cleaned and looks nice where it belongs.  If you must use them DOCUMENT your communications and expect some kind of run around at delivery to get more money out of you

Adding insult to injury Hadeed charged me an EXTRA $100 dollars for attempted stain removal on my 8' by 10' cream wool carpet. Stain removal is not standard in their cleaning charges, but this key fact was never communicated to me in advance. The rug came back washed but with the stains were in tact.  Over $370 TOTAL  for an 8 by 10 rug cleaning that didn't really do much.  They should be me more upfront.  I asked them to refund AT LEAST the stain removal fee of $100 but Mr. Hadeed (per his manager Bob) refused.

Used Hadeed's recently for our kitchen tile and grout. They did a great job and my tile looks 1,000 times better than it did before!
    Very quick and professional service.

Unreal! I asked customer srv rep Tonya Brown to email me an estimate for my rug. Hadeed has cleaned this rug at least 3 times prior. I was unsure of the size so she told me she looked up my history and quoted me for my rug that is 3.6 X 5.4 in feet. The estimate included a 20% discount to total 68.00. It took a month to have my rug returned. I had to call and ask when it would be ready and not once was I contacted about anything additional. They drop my rug off and tell me the cost is 160.00. It almost tripled in cost from my estimate. The guy contacted Tonya Brown and she basically said I lied when I called and I gave her the rug size. She said she never looked it up. So I must have miraculously known my rug was a 3.6 X 5.4. Hmmm that was a good guess. She had to of looked up my previous rug cleaning to get the right size. So again she said I misinformed her and her estimate was for basic cleaning. She said 20% would be given and then asked if I had a frequent Hadeed card. I said I didn't want to purchase something else so Tonya stated "well I'm trying to help you but never mind have a good weekend" wow!
Poor customer service, continuous lies and unprofessional behavior. Never again will I have Hadeed do anything for me, my friends, neighbors and colleagues. I won't be called a liar, attempted to be charged 3x more than estimated with no prior phone call to discuss and then get attitude on the phone with me. So disappointing.

Terrible service.  I brought in a very expensive and colorful Persian area rug that my dog had been using as his personal pee pad, ugh.  I asked for the rug to be cleaned and scotch guarded.  When I picked up the rug all the red color had run onto the lighter parts of the rug leaving every other color on the rug with a pink hue.  I was told that this was because of the urine and that I would have to have it chemically cleaned for $150 to fix the color run.  I asked, "Didn't I just pay to get it cleaned? Now I have to have it 'cleaned' again?"  He then told me to leave it in the sun for a few hours and the sun would fade the pink, which I did and it did not work.  I have since sent to rug to my mother in laws trusty cleaner in MA who cleans all of her rugs and was told that Hadeed used hot water on my rug and the running of the colors was their mistake.  DO NOT send your valuable rugs to this store, they will ruin them and try to take you for more money.  I'm so disappointed and feel taken advantage of.

    Here's how this plays out:

One star for the delivery guys who delivered my rug- they were friendly, played with my dog, and were patient while I called Hadeed about the price.

One star for Mike Hadeed talking to me personally and trying to remedy the problem.

My problem here is Money.  I was quoted a price of $150 for my braided rug (I didn't know if it was hand-made or machine-made). When the crew came to pick it up, they added soaking and neutralizing because my dog had peed on the rug. I knew that would add an extra charge, since it's $1.10/sq ft of the rug. Ok so I knew it would be 200-something.  My rug is basically 8X5, so that's 40 sq ft, right? Or is my math wrong? Because I was charged $89 for just the soaking and neutralizing...and now I'm very confused.

Anyway, Don't you think that if the total price is going to end up being MORE THAN DOUBLE what you initially quoted a person, you should call them to tell them??????

    No, guess not.

The guys came to delivery my rug today, and I was handed a bill for $413.10.

    WHAT???

I said, "Um that's A Lot more than I was quoted."  The friendly delivery guys told me to go ahead and call Hadeed and ask for Mike. I did so. After being on hold a while, I did get to talk to Mike, and I told him the issue (I didn't even mention the soaking and neutralizing problem because my mind was so fuzzy from being upset that I didn't even realize it at the time).  Mike Hadeed tried to think of every possible way the price could be so much more than originally thought (it's hand-made instead of machine-made, etc.).  He ended up giving me a "discount" by giving me the price it would have been for a machine-made plus a 15% discount (or Something like that). He told me what he was doing, but I was so upset and my mind was everywhere that I kind of forgot what exactly he did, but I ended up still paying $324.00, which was almost everything in my checking account. I just graduated college. I don't have a job yet and I don't have a lot of money (I don't come from a rich family or anything). I feel almost numb, I feel robbed.

I told him that I wish someone had contacted me if the price was going to be so much more than I was quoted. But aha! I'm sure that's how they get their money. If you Do tell someone the price is going to be a lot more, I'm sure a lot of people would say, "Nevermind, bring my rug back." That costs them money in labor and gas since their pickup/delivery service is free. Plus, if you Don't tell people, then you clean their rug and they Have to pay you something, and probably a lot more than they're happy with or that you quoted them.

I'm sad more than anything. I felt like I was really starting to get my life together, and then I feel like someone just put their hand it my pocket and stole all my money. And money shouldn't be so important, but to me at this time in my life, it's extremely important because I have a very limited amount of it.

Thanks, Hadeed, for robbing me. Unless I win the lottery and money just doesn't matter, you can count on Not having my business again.

PS - Did I add that one of the guys who picked up my carpet initially had definitely been smoking weed? Also, when these other guys delivered my carpet today they were over an hour late? I'm sure they were busy and they were very nice (I don't know if the company gave them cell phones with the client's #s, so maybe they couldn't have called me), but just so you perspective customers know....

    *******UPDATE******** 01/22/13

My boyfriend and I went down to the Hadeed Headquarters and spoke to Mike personally where he did issue a refund for the mistake in size to the rug. It was an 8.5' X 5.5' rather than an 8.5' Diameter we were charged for (which made up for a Large difference in price). This is what my boyfriend realized after he looked at the invoices. It was all because the driver wrote it incorrectly.

So with the refund, I paid just over $200, which is much closer to the initial quote I was given.

So any customers reading this - They Did make things right in the end and I am grateful that they did so.

After Hadeed clean and repaired my 9.9 x 6.7 Heriz rug, everyone noticed how nice it looked.  This place will try to up sell you on protective rubber strips along the edges.  I'm not sure it was worth it, and it began to warp slightly after a month.  They wanted about $85 to appraise it's value.

We had our heat and air ducts cleaned by Rashid and Saleh.  They did a much better job than the previous company we had used.  The were pleasant and efficient and helped take care of some problems we found.
They also steam cleaned our wall to wall and it looks brand new.  The took 6 orientals to be cleaned.  We have used them before and always have been very pleased.

So sad. We have been customers of Hadeed for years. Just had three rugs cleaned and purchased a new carpet pad and they told me at the time that one rug needed repair. We couldn't afford it at the cleaning time, but a month later they had a coupon for 25% off repairs. When we tried to use the coupon we were told that we had to have the rug cleaned again at additional charge. OF course the coupon did not list that little fact! When we called they kept referring us to someone else and then finally did not return our calls. Goodbye Hadded carpet -you really don't know the value of customer service to previous customers

I wish I had read the Hadeed reviews on Yelp before calling them as it was one error after another.  The ad stated that if you called prior to noon they would so the same day pick-up.  I called around  9 am on a Saturday.  They didn't come and they didn't come so I called and was told that they would be there.  Next thing  the drivers are telling me that it was a long day and they didn't want to pick up the rugs until Monday (I work).  I had a fit as I waited all day long.  I called Hadeed and they tried contacting the truck.  They said they could pick up on Monday and I said "no."  The truck finally came (around 6 pm Sat) and the drivers complained about having to move furniture (I moved most of it).   The ad states that they will move the furniture.  This was not the end of the hassle.  The following Mon and Tues I received calls that they were trying to pick up the rugs (that they had picked up on Sat).  Next thing is that they are trying to get me to purchase a new backing for the smaller rug.  I refused as the rug wasn't an expensive one and I couldn't justify spending more that it's cost on cleaning and repair. Next I receive a phone call that the rugs are almost done except they are finishing the new backing.  The backing I refused!!!  I called and the owner insisted that I agreed to it (according to his very trustworthy sales person...) and if the backing was done that I would have to pay for it.  Fortunately, I had the call on my machine proving the sales person lied!  Finally the rugs were done but they charged more then the original quote.  They told me it needed an extra rinse (or something like that).  In the end I paid more then the rugs cost, and was totally dissatisfied with the service.  Go anyplace else if you want honest service.  Don't listen to their line of "my grandfather started the business and customer satisfaction is most important....blah..blah..blah."  It just isn't true!!
