I can't believe I haven't visited Guardian Cellars previously. I am more white wine forward, and ended up taking home some of their Sauvignon blanc because it is so good. They have a lovely variety of Red wines too which are very approachable.
The interior is gorgeous, and they have a lovely balcony too for warmer days.
Kevin did an amazing job of explaining the wines and general chat. I would go back easily for the homey atmosphere. Good tasting fee too.
Plenty parking in the Apple Village, and lots of places to eat nearby. Looking forward to returning.

I have been wine tasting in Woodinville long long before there were over 130 wineries represented there.
In over three decades of wine tasting I have had many memorable experiences and tasted okay to fantastic wines. From Napa, Centra Coast, Russian River up through Oregon and all over Washington it's been educational and it's been a fun adventure.
Friday we, dear friends and my wife and I decided to do "a little wine tasting" before the final FINAL PAC 12 football championship game on the TV. We started with lunch at the Woodinville Tavern (review to follow) and then stopped by a favorite: Guardian Cellars tasting room.
As fortune would have it, there was no one there except Corinne (sp?) our hostess. This review could well be about her.
A tasting room host will determine your experience and that experience will influence your opinion of the wine! I speak from experience.
Corinne was brilliant! She was warm and welcoming, she was knowledgeable about the product and a fantastic representative of the Guardian labels.
I have never up until Friday afternoon so enjoyed my time with a tasting room host as I did on Friday afternoon! We talked wines, books and movies; it was a most pleasant and entertaining couple of hours. I could have stayed until closing!
And, I am not alone in my opinion; my wife so enjoyed the experience and talking wine with Corinne that she signed up for their wine club and we left with more than a case of wine.
Guardian and Newsprint wines are excellent and Corinne made the afternoon perfect.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - 92104321Jan 7, 2024
I love this gem of a place in Woodinville. Cozy and Comfy. It's like drinking wine in your own living room, but a little nicer.
I love Jerry's wine and I also adore Jennifer's entire Newsprint line too.
The servers are so unpretentious, warm, vibrant and friendly. They made our experience so fun.
We drank more wine then we intended because it was so fun! You will absolutely love this place for a large group or an intimate gathering.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 33179350Jun 23, 2023
I've been to a number of wineries in Woodinville over the years and have done numerous wine tastings. This is the first winery where I really liked every one of the wines I sampled, so much so that I joined their wine club. The wines are all fantastic and the staff is super friendly. The story of the winery is fun as well. It's a very casual experience and the wines are very moderately priced. Be warned, you will not leave empty handed after you taste their wines.

We booked Guardian's Woodinville space for a retirement party and it was EXCELLENT. We called several places and nobody was as responsive as guardian. Staff were quick to reply, always answer the phone, and were very reasonable and accommodating with requests. They had several of their amazing reds on for pouring, and our guests were super pleased. Rates were very reasonable, especially for the beautifully decorated space, great wine, and quality staff. We will come back here for sure. Throughout the entire evening people kept stopping by praising the space, the ease of location, the wine, and the vibe.
Our party had a couple kids, a lot of adults and some older folks with mobility issues. Everyone was able to access the space and find a comfortable place to sit.

One of the hidden gems of Woodinville! Our sincere thanks to Kevin and Ashley for their warm welcome, positive atmosphere, and wines that cover multiple palettes. We fell in love with their reds, high tannin, complex flavors, and medium-full bodied expressions of French varietals. Pls check out their newsprint line as its hard to miss! Thanks team Guardian Cellars, we will be back soon.

Had intended to grab a quick cup of coffee at the kiosk near-by, but instead ventured into the GC tasting room...and I'm very glad I did.
Warmly greeted by Katie, Lauren & Ashley...and was steered in the direction of a marvelous 2019 Cab.
Their colleague, Kevin, was masterful at both educating guests (clearly knows his wines inside and out) AND being fun and playful. Serious about the product without taking himself too seriously. A rare combination, at least from my experiences in countless tasting rooms in OR, WA & CA.
Brava to owner, Jennifer, for hiring great folks and setting the stage for them to promote her product in such a professional and delightful way!

Love the wines made at Guardian! Easy drinking, beautifully balanced wines with a long satisfying fresh finish.
My personal favorite is their Gun Metal which is a blend of 50% Cabernet, 43% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc.......in french oak this is a killer wine!
Fun tasting room. Friendly staff. They charge a $15 tasting fee, which is refundable upon purchase. You will defiantly find something to purchase!

These people work hard to make sure you have a full glass, get a bit of background about the wines and what they pair good with, and especially, that you are enjoying yourself. Quite a special group of individuals. And their wine is fantastic!
They have three different areas to sit and relax; on the patio, in the couch area and in the back room. Of course you can also stand up at the bar and have a great chat with the folks that are working there.
It's also fun to try to figure out his mugshots are on the walls. And all their wines have fun clever names as well. I've been a member of their wine club for a few years now. Always love coming back.
