Located within 4th Street Market, Ground House Burger offers patrons traditional American food with a twist!

While downtown Santa Ana's popular food hall has over a dozen vendors, Ground House Burger provides the ultimate comfort food within this culinary hub. The Vegan Burger was absolutely delectable, featuring the beyond meat patty, plant-based cheese, crispy lettuce, and fresh tomatoes all nested between two soft buns and coated with vegan thousand Island dressing! I could not believe how fast my burger was ready! The staff here were all very friendly and well informed regarding both ingredients and preparation techniques.

Ground House Burger also features innovative sides, such as the Fry Roulette. The menu is packed with a variety of burgers and loaded nachos! If visiting 4th Street Market, Ground House Burger is the place to indulge (whether you are vegan or not)!

Very disappointed! Came here for lunch. The burgers on the picture looked very good. We asked the girl at the counter how big the burgers were, she said it was a good size amount. so we ordered the Pinoy burger, it looked huge on their menu.
When we got our order... we were in shock! The burger was flat AF(I'm being honest) it looked nothing close to the picture advertised, I felt like we were Catfished on our burger. The taste was Ok, Patty was flat, it looked more like a sandwich..just the appearance didn't make up for its $10+ price... way overpriced! I expected more out of this place being it in at this location, there's a lot of competition... if their burgers are like this, a lot of customers aren't gonna be pleased.

I'm always on the lookout for another good burger. Ground House had been on my radar for a while since they market so much on social media so I was looking forward to trying it. Regretfully, my burger did not meet expectations.

First of all, all of their burgers are $10. A combo will set you back another $5. Yikes! I figure they must be really good or at least really big burgers if they are going to charge 3 times a Double Double. The burgers did look pretty massive based on the menu picture.

I ordered the Santa Fe which the cashier said was the best seller. It was underwhelming to say the least and definitely did not look like the picture. Basically a cheese burger topped with a dollop of guacamole and some tortilla strips. It tasted okay, but it was laughably flimsy and flat for $10.

The guacamole had a slight kick. It tasted store bought but not bad. Maybe it was homemade. I wish it was chunkier. The beef patty was thin maybe slightly larger than a 1/4 pounder. The bun was nothing special and more substantial than its contents. The burger needs to be bigger or have more ingredients to justify the price.

I opted for onion rings for $5 instead of the fries which looked very ordinary. I was given a modest portion of freshly fried but over-battered rings. They up-charge if you want anything other than ketchup packets.

Ultimately I paid $15 for a mediocre burger and over-battered onion rings and left still hungry.

Santa Fe Burger. Ummm... where's the meat?
      Onion Rings. Lots of batter.

I came across the restaurant while walking around the 4th Street Market. The cashier was very kind and informative. I decided to go with the Lone Star Burger with no jalapenos. I also wanted to order some tater tots to go with the order but unfortunately, the only way to get another side is to make it a combo for $3.50 which includes a drink and a side. I didn't really want the drink but that was my only option. The food came pretty quick and one I got my order it looked amazing. The food was really good too! The meat was cooked really well and the blend of the bacon, onion rings, beef, and Texas toast was perfect. The real highlight for me was the tater tots which were a perfect crisp. The cashier was kind enough to give me some ranch which went well with both items. While I had a great experience and the food was good, I still do think that it is a little more pricey than I would like.

If you're having trouble finding this place it is located in the 4th Street Market. It is not its own restaurant outside but part of a collection of them in a food court style area. If there are issues finding parking on 4th street there is a parking structure nearby on the 5th street.

Overall, I really do enjoy my visit to Ground House and I would definitely consider trying some of the other items on their menu.

Grind house makes a competent flat top burger, which is then smushed flat to (I guess) get a bit more crispiness at the edges... I don't know why, how about leaving it plump and juicy. I just get one of the normal burgers, I certainly don't get the abomination of that thing on the rainbow bun with the marshmallows. Do folks who are not high actually order it?

The combo comes with fries (which are actually really good) and a soda, and it is cheaper than a burger and fries alone. Since I don't want a soda, I end up ordering one anyway and giving it to a friend, but it seems like an odd way to price things. A tax on people who don't read the full menu I guess. Anyway, it is a competent burger, but not one I would go out of my way for.

I like how whenever a burger spot opens people are quick to be like, "You can go to (insert famous burger place here) and get a better burger for cheaper." Yes, that was in a super whiny voice and yes, it happened the last time there was a burger spot in 4th Street Market. I think that one was Wagyu Chuck and people couldn't wait to hop on here and talk about how expensive it was blah blah blah. I say all this to say that if you're gonna walk in here and compare this to (Insert other burger place) just go to that burger place and keep the line free for people like me that think Ground House makes damn good burgers.

Yes, the burgers are more expensive than a typical chain but I feel like the folks at Ground House know where the beef is from, and that it's actually beef. When I visited I had the burger that has onions, cheese, and thousand island sauce and it was fire. I had it cooked well done and it was still juicy. The fries were delicious and I'm definitely interested in that Fry Roulette deal. There were only 2 of us so it didn't make sense to get it, but I'm ready for it.

Definitely a fan of Ground House.

Located in Down town Santa within the 4th Street Market food hall. Ground house is to the left by Portola Coffee.

Pricing: You are looking at minimum $9.95 for the most basic burger the "classic burger" all the way to the most extravagant burger "the magical burger" for $23.95. If you would like to make it a combo it is an additional $3.99 for a drink and fries which you can choose from a select variety of fries. If you got money to spend and want to amp up the experience then go for the fry roulette that cost a whopping $40 and supposedly feeds 3-4 people.

Food: OK my boyfriend is a big body builder fan and the owner seems to be pretty good friends with a lot of builders. So last year we checked out the location in Irvine and we met Jay Cutler. SO my boyfriend automatically top 5s this place, but I felt the menu was better in Irvine then at this location. I really enjoyed the Santa Fe burger and I didn't see it at this location so I was bummed. Maybe if I asked then they could have made it for me? Otherwise, I went with the classic burger, very basic, but hey still super delicious. The grilled onions are pretty good on the burger and I am usually not an onion fan! I definitely recommend a side of fries. Sweet potato fries are on point here same with the classic fries. My hunny got the magical burger for $23.95. He is a HUGE FAN of the lone star burger but he wanted to see if he could handle the magical burger which he easily did. He said all he could really taste was the meat, none of the extravagant sauce added to it. So if your bulking and want that protein recommend the magical burger, lol. Otherwise, he said he will stick to his favorite the lone star next time-- which we recommend!

Service: We came 6/8/19 on a Saturday night and the cashier was a doll. She had long black hair and she was really nice. She was pretty attentive and wasn't rushing to go through all the available sauces or fries.

Overall, pretty decent spot since its closer to our home then the Irvine location. I think the pricing on some burgers is reasonable but the fry roulette for $40 is a little extreme. The cashier said it would feed 3-4 people and my boyfriend laughed and said he could finish it by himself-- he lifts so he eats heavy on his cheat days. Ending verdict its cool for the gram and has some good eats but pricing should be adjusted on some items. However, were still fans and will definitely be back.

Decided to give this place a shot after seeing the videos on Facebook. Was going to try the Fry roulette but it looked massive plus it's about $40. Was not that hungry to try it this time. Decided to order the classic and the lone star combos. It came with sodas but they didn't taste all that great, definitely a fountain issue. Fries were alright, kinda tasted like McDonald's fries. Wasn't a fan of the lone star burger, the classic tasted good. All in all it was expensive. Had high hopes for this place as the owner goes by the burger god.

The only redeeming factor was the guy who took our orders was very attentive.

If you're into a great burger and amazing service, try out Bunz HB

I have been to Ground House Burger in Irvine. Recently went to 4th Street Market and decided to try this one with the family.

After looking over the menu, I decided to order the Magical Burger. The menus clearly states that burgers are $9.95. When I went to pay, the person working gave me the actual cost. With tax, it was over $25. Say what?!?! I looked at the menu closely. I saw only one mention of the price. At the bottom it clearly states..."Burger Only. $9.95. Add Fresh Cut Fries. Drink. $13.49. Add Side Sauce. $0.25." No asterisk. No mention of different pricing. Nothing. We also ordered the fry roulette which was $35 I believe. Again, no pricing to be found. At least this was understandable considering how large it appears to be. This is clearly deceptive pricing. If you look at my reviews, this is something I have never once complained about.

I didn't bother arguing. I simply changed my order to the Pinoy Burger. The burger itself was fine. If you have ever had longanisa, you will know what to expect. The burger simply tastes like a giant Filipino longanisa. The bun was squashed almost totally flat. The lettuce was a couple of sad pieces slapped to the bottom. The sauce was totally overwhelming. The entire bottom bun was dripping with so much sauce I had to keep the paper on so that I wouldn't soak myself!

The fry roulette was completely underwhelming. The waffle fries and onion rings were pretty good. The tater tots were really good. The other fries were not good. One of the varieties tasted like the seasoned fries you get from the freezer section of your local grocery store! The sauces were also completely underwhelming. They were pretty much all "normal" sauces and did nothing to make the experience fun. I expected them to be unique. They simply are not.

If you go to 4th Street Market, go somewhere else. If you really want to try this place; however, I would suggest going to their Irvine location. I can't remember if their pricing is the same. I can say their food prep and quality seems to be a totally different experience!

Picture speaks a thousand words. Is this a worthy $11.80 (tax included) Burger?
See photo of actual burger! Understandably there's differences between advertisements and reality, but I don't think Photoshop can fix the actual burger!
It reminds me of a McDonald's cheeseburger!!
