Dr. Grimley and the staff are always so friendly and do their best to make each appointment the best experience possible. I've been coming here for over 10 years and have always had a positive and helpful experience!

Have been going here for a few years now and I have always had a positive experience. All of the staff is very personable and friendly, including Dr. Grimley. They do a good job and have made good recommendations for oral surgeons, etc. My brother and sister continue to go here even after moving away as we love the care Dr. Grimley and his staff give us. They also keep appointments reserved for college students during breaks which is very convenient as I know there will always be room for me when I am home for a limited amount of time.

My wife and I as well as all 4 children have been going to this practice for over 30 years. The staff has changed over time but everyone (except one hygienist a long time ago that was fired) has been great. They make you feel at home and comfortable during any procedures.

Dr Grimley will recommend what needs to be done but is not forceful ever. If he thinks you need a root canal he will send you to an endodontist for a second opinion and will even help you get an appointment. No one in my family has ever had a bad experience and if you do the math that would span over 200+ visits for a family of 5 going twice a year. I'd say that's a pretty good average.

I would give this office 1 star. The dentist was very pleasant. The receptionist Carolyn does not know how to do her job and has horrible customer service. I provided my insurance information prior to my appointment. She told me thank you and we will see you at your appointment. During my visit, no one discussed the cost of the services. She was aware that my insurance was out of network and did not bother to let me know. They billed me for basic service that should of been covered. If Carolyn was honest and knew how to do her job, I could of avoided a 280.00 Bill for my child. This is a family owned business so Carolyn is the whole billing department. I feel as if she did not disclose the out of network information so they would make money from us. I am a huge supporter of local and family owned business, especially due to Covid. These people are very dishonest. I would highly not recommend the office to anyone.

For a long time after high school , I greatly neglected my teeth. When a dental emergency forced me to see a dentist, I went to Dr. Grimley on the recommendation of friends and family. He and his staff put in a lot of work and saved my teeth. I have been a patient for a very long time and the doctor and staff have always been supportive, friendly and knowledgeable. The office is pleasant and modern, the equipment is up to date as are the skills of all the staff. The practice has my complete trust and I encourage you to consider them if you need any kind of dental care.

My family has gone to Dr. Grimley and staff for 23 years. We have three children (16, 20, and 23) that he has always taken care of....from pulling teeth that just wouldn't ever come out(and being patient and kind because our son was always very anxious), seeing us for emergencies, filling a few cavities, to referring us to a great orthodontist and oral surgeon for wisdom teeth removal. He has treated them and cared for them just like his own kids and has watched them grow up.

My husband had major issues with his teeth being crooked and also went to Dr. Grimley for Invisalign years ago...he finally started to smile and show his teeth after he was done and has not stopped. What a difference that made for him! Also when we have had other emergency dental issues, his office staff always fits us in to be seen as soon as possible. Sometimes that meant further appointments were needed and they would always take care of us and fit us in quickly.

Laura and Danelle, the dental hygienists are wonderful! Laura has cleaned our teeth for years and does a fabulous job! Poor Danelle would do a great job with our son who was always awful at brushing. I feel bad I can't remember all the ladies names who work in the office but they have been there for years and are like friends to us, always so helpful and kind.

Growing up I was always very anxious about going to the dentist and had a few bad experiences, so I feel very lucky that we found this office 23 years ago. I am very grateful and thankful for Dr. Grimley and his staff and would highly recommend them!

Not sure why it says we are from Washington DC still, made a post from there years ago so it still shows up as that, but we are from Plainfield IL and take the time to drive up to Naperville even though there are many dentists that are closer to us!

This practice is the epitome of money-grubbing dentistry.

Went here with my family for several years until I had had enough.

You know you're in trouble when the practice has a logo and the doc always has a great tan! Dr. Grimley consistently pushed for unnecessary xrays, sealants, replacing old amalgam fillings etc.

When I had pain in a molar after he'd replaced an old amalgam filling 6 mo's earlier, he told me it now needed a root canal and crown. $2000 later (1000 to root canal guy), the tooth still gives me trouble. Nothing was wrong with this tooth until he replaced the filling! The crown he fitted is lousy and he had to grind it down to the point where it no longer feels like a normal molar. His response is consistently, "oh well it happens."

Avoid this guy at all costs.

UPDATE:

3 years later, Grimley notices my review and posts a picture proving my points about the tan and logo. Sorry doc, but I most certainly was a patient. I'm guessing you've treated lots of people in the same manner so my details aren't unique enough for you to guess who I am and have your lawyer write me a letter. I stand by my review.

BTW, Check out all the glowing shill reviews that have showed up for this practice in the last month (Nov-Dec-2015) in Google reviews. I'm guessing someone has been busy trying to improve the practice's social media footprint.

Jeffrey is a maestro and Grimley Family Dental is the symphony. The best dental office in the Chicagoland area, hands down.

My family and I have been clients of Dr. Grimley for several years. After struggling with another local outfit for a short time, we sought a more personal touch and found it at Dr. Grimley's. The staff is great and we have received excellent dental care. I personally had horrible experiences with dentists as a kid and am generally an anxious patient when it comes to fillings, root canals, etc. I am happy to say Dr. Grimley and the team have made those worries disappear. It is also worth noting that I have had some trouble with my dental insurance carrier and the staff was very responsive in resolving that issue. Highest of recommendations!

I love Dr. Grimley and all of his staff. Dr. Grimley is so friendly and knows what he is doing. Coming from a previous dentist who was not so great, I am super impressed with Dr. Grimley. The hygienists are all extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The receptionists are also awesome with working with my schedule and trying to find me a time for any last minute appointment changes I need. Dr. Grimley's office has definitely made something I hated doing (going to the dentist) into a MUCH more pleasant experience. All of the staff in the office, as well as Dr Grimley himself are wonderful - definitely would recommend if you're looking to find a new dentist.
