I'd heard great reviews and my son loves pizza so we decided to try it on Saturday. We were seated quickly and I liked the option of indoor and outdoor dining. We had a traditional pepperoni, blueberry lemonade and blueberry Italian soda. The drinks were delicious. The pizza was okay. I would've liked to try some other options and dessert, but my son is very picky. I'd definitely try it again. The also offer $5 off and a free pizza for your birthday if you sign up for online rewards. The waiter, Joshua, was so nice and polite.

I will not buy pizza from any other restaurant. Until Grimaldi's re-opens in Tucson I will continue to make my own. A devout New Yorker.

No gonna lie...we went because we had a free 18" birthday coupon.
What more reason to try out a place we haven't eaten yet....boy did it hit the spot.
After work, the hub was feeling pizza for dinner. So here we are....
Menu offered calzones and a variety of pizza, pesto, traditional and white garlic sauces.
We ordered a large Mediterranean salad, and the birthday boy's 18" free pizza.
It was just perfect...large salad was more than enough to share between the both of us. Pizza (thin crust...yes!) was huge with fresh topping.
Pros: Birthday coupon for a feee pizza , great place, fresh food, patio seating and kids were given pizza dough to play with...
CON: one bathroom stall for the ladies room--and the gal in there must've had bladder problem or "something else" cuz I must've waited 10 mins. I decided not to wait a minute longer ...cuz that latrine would've smelled RIPE by the time she was done.... :)
Other than that, I think it's my go to for pizzaHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1885291327Mar 21, 2017
Interesting pizza selection but limited to just pizza, salad, brushetta and drinks. Lunch time was decent but location is smaller for area of town and close locale to campus. Service is great.

I think of myself as a pizza aficionado (remember I am self proclaiming here)... and I did enjoy Grimaldi's both times I have visited. Not the best pizza I have had, not the worst. Middle of the road A-OK, like the three stars indicate.
I think my favorite thing on the menu may be the Caprese salad. It is enough for 3-4 people, but the last time I went -- I literally at the whole thing myself!
The menu is pretty lean, but perhaps they do that by design. If you don't like pizza there are not a lot of other options for you. UNLESS you just go straight to dessert and I would definitely recommend the Cannoli which was superb.
Service both times I have visited was truly great - very attentive, friendly and drinks/water were never empty. Kids get pizza dough to play with as well.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alyssa D.Bel Air, MD192244237Aug 7, 2016
Great pizza and salads, terrible service. My Margherita pizza had great sauce and was just crispy enough. I got the small and split it with another person, and we both had a slice leftover-good size! The Caesar salad was well dressed and again, the small is big enough to share with another.
Our table was dirty from the start and so were the benches, when we asked for a clean table cloth the waitress gave me a napkin to brush it off. My water was rarely refilled and our server was very impatient that we needed more time to look at the menu. It wasn't even a busy night! I wanted to give 5 stars because of how much I loved the pizza, but with service like that for a pizza that is
More expensive than most places, it's just unacceptable.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 22368305Feb 12, 2017
This is my Favorite pizza in Tucson. I prefer a true NYS pizza, but the Neapolitan Style is not a bad way to go either. Not to mention a true coal oven. Where I am from coal ovens are commonplace, out here not so much. Coal brings a delicious smokiness and char to the pizza that cannot be duplicated by wood.
In addition a reverse osmosis water machine is used to bring the water to the correct PH for the dough, this make a huge difference in the texture and flavor of the crust. These guys are doing it right. My go to is the half regular half white pizza with spicy chicken sausage and onions! OUTSTANDING!
This may not be everyone's cup of tea, but for an East Coast Transplant this is as good as it gets in Tucson!
Highly recommended!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 147253112Feb 4, 2016
My son and I visit this location on occasion. I am not a big fan of pizza, but my son likes it so here we are...
I must say, I really enjoy the atmosphere here. I like watching the pizza's go in and out of the oven while we converse and wait for our order.
This evening it was quite busy and instead of waiting in a rather cramped place for 20 min, we decided to sit at the bar. To start, we ordered a cesear salad and split it. The salads are reason enough to come here, seriously...try one! We each ordered a personal size pizza, mine jalapeños, olives & pepperoni. My son ordered "The Don" (he's already eaten half as I write this). The personal size pizzas are enough for 2 people to share if you also share a salad or you'll definitely have left overs. All the ingredients are fresh and the pizza is amazing.
Again, I'm not a "pizza critic" like most reviewers claim, but I have no complaints. Don't expect cheap pizza here, our bill for 2-3 people is between $50-$100 (dinner) each visit, but again..I'm not complaining, just don't be shocked when you get the bill. I've never left this place unhappy.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 5, 2016
I used to live on 5th and this place would've been walking distance however I never did make the trek to Grimaldi's. On one Tuesday I finally decided to go on a night out with my girlfriends and so glad we opted to come here instead of 1702. (Trying to stay close to campus since we were coming from class)
They have a really good wine list, and on Tuesdays they half off bottles! Also their pizza is good--it's thin crust, like a classic Margherita--just the right portion and it tastes good. Def will be back here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 11, 2015
I love the green salad! It's chopped perfectly, and the Italian dressing is perfectly seasoned! We went for my free birthday pizza tonight, that you get if you are on their email list! The spicy chicken sausage is pretty spicy, but good! They make a good thin crust pizza! I do wish the waitress would have said happy birthday to me when I gave her my free pizza coupon :)
