We love this place. The atmosphere is so beautiful. The menu is small, but a great variety. They also have great cocktails.

Overall ranking: 3.5
Entree: 4.5 (NY steak and tarragon scallops)
Sides: 2.5 (house salad, garlic mash and loaded potato)
Cocktails: 5 (lavender drop and marionberry martini)
Cigarette smoke: 0
Waiter: 5
The parts that mattered were great just a little displeased at the cigarette smoke that we could smell from our table and no one was outside so not sure if someone in the back was doing it but it very quickly wafted to the front of the restaurant where we were sitting.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - William D.Longview, WA05Mar 15, 2024
So many things wrong. Adult daughter ordered a toasted Sesame salad with Gorgonzola cheese. They were out of the Gorgonzola cheese, the most essential ingredient . I had a side salad, mostly lettuce with tiny crotons and the Pork blt on a Parisian bun LOL. The bun would make a Parisian gag. It was about an inch and a half thick of tasteless bread, stuffed with fat and some meat, a decent slice of tomato, lettuce and a ton of mayo. The service was slow because they had only one waiter and it was lunch. The booths were empty but you could see the severely worn through leather seats and marred table tops. The waiter was pleasant.

First time here. Had the calamari and also Swedish meatballs appetizers. Delicious! Then had the halibut dinner with shrimp, AMAZING!! Ben was SUPER! Couple of glasses of wine and the Paper Airplane. Was a great dinner. Will be back for SURE! Thanks!! Highly recommended.

Christmas dining at Grant's was a disappointment to say the least.
First off we were packed in like sardines. There was not enough room between tables for someone to maneuver between them comfortably. During these Covid times we should be cognizant of our surroundings. Unfortunately the seating arrangements were claustrophobic. My mother-in-law has diabetes and a heart ailment. This puts her at high risk. Sitting this close to others is a concern. At this point I was ready to leave. She is fully vaccinated but still!
Then to make matters worse we were seated next to a woman who was clearly intoxicated. She was far too loud and displayed inappropriate behavior. We asked if we could be moved and we were told, "no". I noted two empty booths and four empty tables. This was at about 4:30 in the afternoon and I feel that we could have been accommodated.
None of the food was memorable. No marsala was detected in the chicken marsala, the stuffing was inedible, it was was hard and dry. My husbands prime rib was good. What bothered me the most was the fact that nothing was served hot.
Nonetheless we took our chances and decided to get dessert. We ordered the turtle bar. This sad bar was so over baked that you couldn't get your fork through it. It certainly looked delicious but looks can be deceiving.
Our server was Daniel and while he was personable and friendly; we waited a long time to place our order, to receive our drinks etc. It appears as if they may have been short on staff.
I wanted to take a holiday cooking break but I won't do that again. I would not recommend dining here for a holiday.
We would return for happy hour and appetizers.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0Oct 17, 2021Previous reviewFriendly staff (thank you Franklin) captivating cocktails and good food.
Mr. Wonderful enjoyed the Caramelized onion, caramel glazed pork loin with a side of seasonal vegetables (zucchini) His cocktail was the Perry Mason which was perfect.
I really indulged and had the Swiss cheese fondue. The fondue itself was excellent but the plate required more than just bread rounds. Some apple, carrots, celery etc. would have been much appreciated. My cocktail was the "It's About Fig N Thyme" (that name)! :) it was good but the Perry Mason was tastier.
The ambience is interesting, it's like bordello vampy in the 1950's but with a lot of personality. But it is warm and welcoming. - William T.Highlands, Longview, WA01411Apr 25, 2023
Went there for a nice relaxing evening and found it !
Ordered the filet mignon for the Mrs and the pork sandwich for myself.
The filet mignon was on point and the sandwich a delight !
Service was great !Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cathy B.Gilman, Issaquah, WA03Jan 15, 2024
not great. food rather bland and service lackluster. Menu choices are pedestrian. Nothing remarkable about this place.

Great place to relax on the patio with friends. Food is truly yummy, and appetizer portions are enough to share!

Starter of Halibut bites and tartar. Could be a fabulous meal of its own.
Bacon Blue Mary with smoked salt rim and bacon slice
Smoked Cheddar and Bacon Burger
These are but a few of the selections you will find at this historic location in Longview, WA. What once was a bustling center of town, is now a small apartment complex with a fabulous restaurant attached. This place was also made famous on the Gordon Ramsey show "Hotel Hell". Although the hotel portion isn't what it used to be, and is kind of sad that this place with all of it's history is declining, the restaurant that is here is something to hang on to. The food is delicious, served quickly and appropriately. The drinks are almost a meal upon themselves, and the use of bacon can only be deemed as fabulous. If you ever find yourself in this area, do yourself a favor and stop in and try the foods.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
