Grandad's Pizza

The hash brown pizza here was legitimately mind blowing. We got it to go so I can't speak to the inside or service. The pizza was so good that they earned 5 stars without that data.

They also accommodated vegetarian needs despite it being a specialty pizza.

Looking for a quick take out or delivery pizza to feed anywhere from 1-4 people? Look no further than Grandad's. I was in a pinch, out of groceries, yet too lazy to go to the grocery store. I decided to try Grandad's Pizza because they had sizes adequate for one person. Where most pizza joints may offer the traditional small, medium or large, Grandad's offers a 7", 10", 12", 14", or 16". All for reasonable prices at that. In addition to pizza, they offer wings, strombolis, salads and sandwiches.

I called ahead and ordered the 'Works' which is their take on a supreme pizza -- pepperoni, sausage, onions, green peppers and mushrooms. Grandad's shares a building with Byrne's pub and they both share a parking lot. The inside isn't much -- an ordering counter, a couple of drink coolers, and a bench to sit at if you are waiting for take out.

My pizza was ready before the quoted 15 minutes. I'm a huge fan of the thin crust, however found the pizza was fairly average. Not bad, but not great. Honestly, exactly what I was expecting. The crust had a nice crunch, but I felt it could have been kept in the oven a bit longer to make the toppings more crisp. That said, I would definitely order it again.

Quick and easy service. Pizza is always great. A little pricey though. It's always been my go to for a late night slice.

My go to pizza is to make my own and get bbq, pineapple and chicken and it is always good to where there isn't much leftovers.

We discovered this delectable central Ohio tavern style (square cut, thin) pizza courtesy of the Grandview Theatre once using them as the house pie. No looking back. We've bought this many times at movies as well as picking up from their convenient Grandview location.

We've never had a bad pie from here. If you're bar hopping in the area, get one to take home.

I used to order Grandad's quite often because I liked the pizza. I moved back to Columbus and ordered it again and they completely delivered me the wrong pizza. So I called and they told me that they would bring the correct one to me. We ordered half sausage and onion and half banana peppers. They again delivered us a half sausage and half cheese pizza. I didn't even ask them to replace it but when I called to tell them they said just come by and we'll take care of you. So a month later I did and to my surprise the way I was treated was embarrassing and rude to say the least.
It must have been the manager ( guy with red hair ) who belittled me in front of others yelling I was a scam and to never come back again.
To do something like that in that manner must show how this operation works. I was told to come by whenever I could and they would "take care of me". Just to be belittled by this sad excuse of a company representative. Maybe something happened to him to make him say the insulting things he did today. But he did.
I guess the moral is he told me to never come back and I will not. Just wanted others to know if they find themselves
in a similar situation there, lick your wounds and do not even bother letting them know due to the risk of unprofessional language thrown at you.

Had a short stint in grandview and took advantage of trying a new local pizza place. Boy am I glad I did!!!

This pizza has a thin cracker crust, plenty of toppings and a great tasting sauce (I think I event got a hint of spice from it). Sausage was almost sweet but went great with everything else.

I'm not sure if I just got there after my pizza had been sitting for a bit but because of how thin it was it had started to get soggy, even after asking for it well baked. Even so it tasted great and I was pleased. If they had done-in I would try again to see if I can get it fresh from
The oven.

I will definitely be back when in the area.

I didn't have any complaints about my order, but it wasn't anything mind blowing. It's really your typical pizza place with counter pickup on the inside. They asked for my name for the order over the phone and it wasn't right when I went to pick it up which caused a little confusion and some laughs but no big deal there. My Stromboli was tasty and the boneless wings are pretty big and meaty. I heated them up when I got home as my drive was 25 minutes and everything stayed juicy and tasty.

My friends ordered a pepperoni pizza from Granddad's for dinner, and I really liked it! It was thin and greasy in an authentic kind-of-way. Very flavorful and hard not to binge in one sitting (I think I had double what I had originally planned to eat, and wish I had a second stomach). Perfect for game day if you want an indulgent but not too "bready" pizza. I hope to get another slice sometime soon.
