The spacious Grand Reserve Club is a member's only club at the Staple Center. There is a large bar, cigar humidors, and pretty nice furnishings. There is also a balcony with tables, torch lamps, and a huge fireplace. I can see that these private club houses can be really fun, especially when your team wins a big game. Staples Center is clean, organized, and well run place. Parking available in area lots on 8th and Figueroa for $6 bucks, elsewhere on Fig $10 bucks.

NOW CALLED THE LEXUS CLUB /www.yelp.com/biz/lexus-club-los-angeles#hrid:ARmrfCUNASsTtDZ7O1sTBQ/query:lexus

What can I tell you about the GRC that John G. hasn't.

FOOD! John what about the food!

Now how many stadiums can you actually have a fine dining experience?

      Well you can here.

We rarely have a entree because we are not big eaters and we love the appetizers and salads.

Some of their appetizers are spicy barbecue shrimp, wild mushroom goat cheese crostini, a nice sushi sampler and a iced shellfish platter that is for two people and it has lobster, jumbo shrimp, oysters, dungeness crab salad.

I am a huge salad lover and they have a fantastic caesar salad, as well as a great classic iceberg wedge salad and a beef steak tomato salad....ok I have to go OT for a moment and tell you a story. We brought a couple of friends here one night one was from Italy and one was from Holland and they ordered the beef steak tomato salad and they wondered where the beef was...it was cute really. I had to explain that beef steak was a type of tomato.

      Ok...back on track.
Their entrees consist of New York Steak, Fillet Mignon, Rib Eye, Sea Bass, Herb Chicken, Lobster Macaroni and Cheese and Salmon Steak.

They also have some great sides too such as asparagus, twice baked potato, steamed broccoli, garlic french fries and acorn squash gnocci.

Many people opt for the buffet that is often in the GRC but of course on Clipper nights when John G and I are the only ones in the club they do not have the buffet but you can use a side door to get to the Arena Clubs buffet and bring it back into the GRC.

I forgot to tell you. I do not eat desserts but they have this one ice cream fudge and M&M mound thing that is about the size of my head that is really good and unless you are a pig it is meant to be shared.

I will post in the photos a copy of the buffet menu.

Kids are allowed on day events but they are not allow in the evening.

The Grand Reserve Club is a private, member only restaurant located on Suite Level A of the Staples Center and is my home away from home. The staff is great and I always feel like Norm from Cheers. The food is excellent and the chefs will make you anything your heart desires even if it is not on the menu. Watch out though as it is very easy to rack up an astronomical bar bill in no time. Below are some of the additional perks of membership.

Access to the Grand Reserve Club for all Staples Center sporting and entertainment events for which tickets are made available to the public (tickets sold separately)

Access to VIP Receptions and Private Events in the Club

Cigar Menu and Cigar Humidors to store your personal and private selection of cigars

Team LA store 20% off purchases

VIP Ticket and Parking packages for concerts and special events

VIP Ticket offers for sporting and entertainment events at Home Depot Center

VIP access to Home Depot Center's Stadium Club

      Special Event planning and assistance.

Complimentary business services in Xerox Business and Conference Center

Thanks to Cheri and John I was able to hideout here and watch the Clippers lose once again. It made losing fun and luxurious. I especially liked the free copies of Wine Speculator on the lounge tables. It's like we were in the coolest club house in the world. We didn't even notice when the game was over. "Oh they play basketball here, how droll."

I feel so spoiled. Been to the Lexus suite a couple of times once just for drinks, but since I don't drink I guess it was just for nothing right? Wrong. It's beautiful in here. The cigar wall and entry way around the wine case - created for surprise, privacy and function I guess - is design genius. Left or right, which way to go!?! See they trick you, but you end up in the same place, in front of the good looking friendly hostess. This place is supposed to be for members only, so you get all the sports family (meant loosely for anyone associated to their respective clubs by their 'in') so between the size of the place, intimacy and smugness I totally get it. You are cool, I am just visiting, and your stories and knowledge of the team and their history make you better than me. I will laugh deeply from the pit of my belly "hahaha" because you are drunk and funny. Actually, no, I am laughing because you really are funny and because your stories really are interesting and for a brief moment I wish I truly in my heart cared about sports enough to feel as though I deserve to be in here with everyone so passionate about the teams. I don't deserve to be in here, but it is so much fun, so yeah I'll milk it.

Had the buffet the second visit, food was great! Incredible variety, well prepared for a buffet. Was told if you order off the menu and they are busy your plate might be forgotten though so best to go with the buffet. Desserts are spectacular, as Levy Restaurants are known for. Waiter was a douche though, did not know how to open a bottle of wine and ruined two of them and took forever for place settings.
