I have been going to Golftec (Halsted location) for about five years and have loved every minute. The lessons/instructors are extremely thorough and have massively benefited my game. I have referred a dozen or so friends to this location. (They have privately thanked me.) The management team, led by Cody and Kyle, are top notch. They have fit me twice for new clubs; again, very professionally done. I have nothing negative to add because my experience has been stellar.

Zach has been great! I purchased a 6 month practice session and 15 lessons, perfect for the off season here in Chicago. I'm 3 months into the practice session and love being able to practice any weather condition. The team here at Golftec is very professional and accommodating. There's no short cut to putting in the work and practicing. Great environment to pursue your golf game and get better. Amazing individual practice simulators, putting green to practice, football games and golf on TV, can't ask for much more. Very happy

My coach was a good guy, very knowledgeable and friendly. If you have the time to spend to rework your swing I'm confident he would be able to help with a multiple lesson plan to achieve your goals.

My issue is IF your not looking to rework your swing you can walk away very discouraged. I took one lesson recently saying i wanted some coaching on how to improve a certain area of my game but with back issues NOT a full rebuild. I was not able to hit the ball the way he recommended with my back issues and the muscle memory of my current swing. By the end of the lesson i was saying i just can't make that move and he was recommending more lessons to fix. I got zero out of this lesson other than less confidence. I understand it's a business but this was the opposite of what i asked for.

In short i walked out pretty discouraged on my swing overall. I played a 15 handicap last year and play about 2/week for reference.

Excellent golf lessons and video swing analysis. Personalized service. Club fittings as well with some great equipment. Cody Temper is a phenomenal teacher.

I just completed a 6-month Game Plan package which included 15 lessons, 6-months of practice, and 3 club fittings, and I cannot begin to thank my instructor Ben Thulin and GolfTec enough for the improvements to my golf game.

Ben's knowledge of the game and ability to quickly analyze one's swing to determine what exactly to work on during each lesson is beyond impressive. Every lesson felt purposeful, building on the previous lesson, all working to master fundamentals and gain an understanding of my unique swing. Ben often says he can promise only one thing, something will go wrong on the course. Everything he teaches you though prepares you to handle that challenge, understand what the issue is, and how to adapt.

Beyond unmatched instruction, what sets GolfTec apart from other companies is the practice component. It is one thing to have a breakthrough lesson that makes you feel 100% more confident in your swing, it's another to actual practice those skills to make sure you retain what you just learned. As part of a game plan package, I was able to practice three times a week to continue my growth. Often during practice lessons Ben would check in and offer additional advise to make sure I was always improving.

I would absolutely recommend Ben Thulin and GolfTec to anyone looking to seriously improve their game.

Purchased a package for my husband as a gift, which he had to postpone using due to some unforeseen life events. When he got around to using the gift certificate, no one would respond to our multiple attempts to see if the gift certificate had expired or could even be put to use. I was told three times that someone would get back to me "by the end of the day" and was never contacted. Be weary of Golftec who will go out of their way to sell you one of their packages, but won't respond when it comes time to schedule.

Booked a driver fitting with Ben.  Waited 3 weeks for my appt and Ben T canceled on me two hours before the appointment time.  Ben promised he would find another coach for me to honor the appt time or help me reschedule.  Never heard from him again.  Was apprehensive to do the fitting as there were some negative reviews.  Unfortunately, they seem to be accurate.  Would not recommend for any skill level or anyone seeking new equipment.

Had a great experience with Andrea here. She did not take any cookie-cutter approaches and really invested all of her energy in each lesson. I exponentially got better each session and it is all thanks to her awareness and knowledge of the game. We always had a plan going into each session and a takeaway (maybe two) to work on out of the "office". Phenomenal structure that led to big improvements and much more awareness of my swing.  

No matter what level you are as a golfer and want to get better, I would highly recommend coming in and starting to work with Andrea. Does not get much better than this!

There is a skill missing in many of today's businesses which hampers their growth and success. That skill is listening. LISTEN to your customer and prospect, solve their issues and you will most likely succeed.
I sat down with Ben Thulin (owner of this location and PGA member) to share my goals and where my game was. Ben LISTENED. He devised a package around my goals, my timeline, my availability and we've already begun working on my swing. This is what he does and this location is spectacular with at least 7 bays for unsurpassed swing analysis and training. Here's what Ben did NOT do: he didn't try to oversell my on a package I'd never use and don't need. My time is precious and having the flexibility to book practice time on line (so you KNOW you'll get a practice bay) is invaluable.

Ben has been teaching golf for nearly 20 years and his knowledge of the swing is insane. Right now is the BEST time to get ready for the upcoming golf season and there really isn't a better place to do it than the GolfTec on Halsted Row. They have about a half dozen teachers or more and are available for any skill level.

This is a great facility with a high experienced staff. I went to Ryan Durnberg for a quick lesson on my driver before the start of the season. It has always been the worse club in my bag.

Golftec uses state of the art equipment to track every motion and detail of your swing and uses it to analyze every facet of your golf game. That combined with Ryan's experience breaking down the science into actionable and repeatable motions combined with practice allowed me to unlock the potential off tee. Best of both worlds here, incorporating technology, as well as a personable professional who's good at implementing technique. Ryan gave me the tools I need to fix my swing and get in all the positions AS WELL as showing me how I can play with what I have originally.

My first round after the lesson I shot 75 ( I am a 10 handicap) and crushed it off the tee with ZERO errant tee shots.

I usually don't write reviews, but I highly recommend the facility for someone looking to shape their game up.
