Golden Wok

It's ok, not fantastic. Not good. Just good enough.

The inside needs some touch-ups. You can tell it's old and hasn't been properly renovated. Chairs and tables have dents in them. But at least the floor, tables, chairs are clean.

I only ordered the honey garlic chicken nuggets as a test.
The food was cooked fresh, before my eyes and only took a few minutes. The sauce was put in a separate container, not on top of the nuggets like some places. This kept them crunchy. The nuggets were HOT and thoroughly cooked. However the sauce was watery. It wasn't thick and it tasted like it was made with duck sauce not honey. I didn't taste much garlic in the sauce.

But overall I would give it a 2.7 out 5 only because the nuggets were cooked properly and the tables and floor were clean.

I'll only return if I'm in a hurry and don't have any other food options.

Excellent! Very happy. Great authentic taste. Bonus for me was they have rice noodles (I'm gluten free). Mei fun and Ho fun are rice noodles. Seven different options.
Husband had curry beef. He loved it.

Around noon today (Saturday), headed to Bronx Bagels on Powerline. Parking lot was full. Kept going up Powerline. Decided to hit Panera Bread.

I parked alongside of Golden Wok next door to Panera Bread. I read Golden Wok lunch specials menu in window. Most were priced at $8.89 and offer can of soda as alternative to egg roll. That's good since I try to avoid fried egg rolls.

I walked into Golden Wok as delivery guy headed out. Nobody at counter. I stood there and waited. Nobody came up to wait on me. I walked over past the window partition and looked toward the kitchen. I saw a guy in the rear in the kitchen. I stood there where I was more visible. Nobody looked up or came forward.

I could have shouted to get his attention. I could have called him on the phone from 30 feet away. Instead, I just walked out and next door to Panera Bread. Maybe Golden Wok could invest in a motion sensor door chime.

Terrible service and poor communication. They charged us an extra $3 for an accidental note for a sprite can on an Uber order because in the last order you could not choose what type of soda. We called right away and told them we did not need a $3 can of Sprite, but they sent it anyway after telling us they'd refund. Shady business

Best Chinese food North of Hong Kong

Very tasty food, and they know how to make it spicy. Service was fast and staff was friendly.

Went for lunch the other day. Horrible! Food was very stale. Seemed like it was days old and just reheated. Rice was barely edible. We took a few bites and threw the food out. Just flat out bad experience. I definitely do not recommend.

This is the definition of a hole in the wall restaurant. I had been under the weather and was craving a hot soup to sooth my throat. I happened to drive past here so I called to place an order. It was ready in less than 5 minutes ! The wonton soup was very flavorful and perfectly cooked. It's my go to when I'm feeling sick. Found a new favorite spot! (It's a pick up only restaurant )

I have house special fry rice and soup I deliver food for living so I pick up my food and I continue working
When I was going to eat my food I was eating the rice I noticed have a bitter taste I was so hungry I have few bites but I can't eat anymore I have to throw it away!! I was so mad I call the place and explain she was nice she offered to remake it I say no because I wasn't in the area
Well few hours later I got in the area and I call to have it remake and she wasn't so nice this time
She complains about bringing the food back next time because she can sell to someone else???? What !!!! Really !!! Omg ok I just got really mad this time and say never mind I don't want it anymore good luck eating there

Mediocre food and a fabissina Punim to match. Maybe they cater to old folks who shouldn't have too much salt. Take out experience was depressing and lacking in condiments. Not a happy lunar new year with a dry pu pu platter. Next....

Ended up going there after the menu was bombed into our neighborhood which is close. Portions are huge, so you'll have leftovers. I got Beef with mushrooms and wife had pepper steak with unions. We both agreed the dishes lacked any distinct flavor. The fried rice is a nice touch instead of white rice, but it's also uneventful. So, ok meals for your money but the only reason I will go back is because of the convenience of location to my neighborhood.
