The Doctors and staff at Golden State Ufology are extremely professional and knowledgeable. Soon after my sixtieth year milestone, I find myself more and more in need of medical care than I had ever before imagined. I have so much confidence in the Doctors ability, and their genuine concern for my well being, that routine appointments are damn near a pleasure. I know it sounds crazy, but It's true. And on my way out the door, I'm generally wearing a smile because I feel so well cared for. At my current age, I really need that.

      Sincerely-Thank you!

Quality care, dr.Sabra is professional and provides comfort during what can often be a very stressful procedure. A lot of people leave bad reviews, but I think it's mainly because of the experience they may be going through not so much the doctors fault sometimes this things you can't control in life but at least there's people in this world that can make it better. I appreciate Golden State urology.

      Terrible office staff.

My regular doctor called in a referral to them and after 6 months I gave up because after 10 phone calls, nobody had the courtesy to respond. They kept telling me I was on the wait list, but I could never get thru to the staff that booked appointments.

Awful experience and I was never able to get an appointment. If I had a serious problem, I could be dead by now, still waiting after 1 year.

I know urology is in short supply these days, but there is no excuse for treating people this way.

One of the worst clinics I ever dealt with. I tried to make an appointment for my 84 year father to remove his catheter, the office said they will call back, but they never did. Then we called them again 2 days later, they said we need a referral. Why was it not mention in the first conversation?!!! After my father's doctor faxed over the referral, I had to call them the next day to make appointment and they said they will call me if I don't hear back in 3 days, I should call them back to ask. WTF!!! I don't time have to play tag, my father is in pain and need to remove his catheter asap. How is this acceptable? I'm so disappointed in our healthcare system.

I gave Golden State Urology five stars because I couldn't see any reason not to. Everyone there was kind and professional and I don't know enough about the process to not give them the benefit of the doubt. My experience below is not to judge as much as to inform. I believe the 'procedure' was called a urolift but I am not positive and it was the first step needed to take care of my bladder and kidney problems. I will update this review as the process continues but the other patients in the waiting room have only had praise for Dr Sethi. Anyway, here is my story.

It only took a couple of days of massive pain in my side to decide to go to the local emergency room and find out what the hell was wrong me. After running a few tests they decided I had kidney stones, kidney disease, and something else wrong with my kidneys. For some reason they did not think that was the source of the pain so they prescribed some pain killers and suggested I visit my primary care physician to set up an appointment with a urologist.

That led to an appointment with Dr Sethi at Golden State Urology. I thought he was going to go over my blood test and the information he received from the emergency room at Methodist Hospital. I even brought in a kidney stone the size of a very large pea that had fallen out of my penis the weekend before. He had something else in mind though.

I was instructed to go to the bathroom to empty my bladder and come back to the room, drop my pants to my knees and cover my junk with a towel. A few minute later Dr Sethi entered the room and very nonchalantly said "this might feel a little cold" and stuck a camera up my penis. Holy mother from hell that burned! The next thing I knew, I was looking at a very swollen, sad looking bladder with another kidney stone that looked like the twin of the one that had fallen from my penis the weekend before.

After kindly removing his camera from my penis, Dr Sethi instructed me to empty my bladder and return to the room for a ultra sound that revealed that my bladder did not drain properly and I would need a 'procedure'.

Fast forward three week and I returned with Ida (my significant other) to have this "procedure'. I was asked if I would be interested in paying an extra $100 for nitrous oxide and after a little discussion I decided a valium and some local pain killer would be fine. My advice, take the nitrous. A few minutes later the man in charge of administering the drugs and setting up the "procedure" brought a valium and some antibiotics to me in the waiting room.

It wasn't too much longer before I was lying on a table without my pants. The man in charge of the meds and setting up the 'procedure' then tented my upper body so I could not watch what was going to take place and stuck some local up my penis. Let me tell you, that was when I knew this was not going to be any trip to Disneyland. I made sure to inform Ida that she was in charge of the family jewels since I could not see what was going on.

Whatever they stuck up my penis, I don't really know but I think it was a big, hard, stiff tube and it hurt like hell and I suddenly felt like I needed to take a hot, burning, bloody piss. I was told they were draining my bladder but the rather unpleasant sensation I was getting felt more like my bladder was going to overflow. I was told that was from the pressure. Then it felt like the doc stuck something else up the tube and was moving it around trying to properly position it while the burning sensation and the pain increased immensely. Why did I not choose the nitrous? This could have been much more pleasant if only I had chosen the nitrous oxide.

I was then told I would hear a snap and not to jump. "Snap"..."ouch, that fricking hurt". It felt like the tip of my penis where all of the nerve ending are had been slammed in a mouse trap while a chunk had been hacked from my inner organs. Doc Sethi; "I told you not to jump when you heard the snap." I think I heard a hint of humor in his voice. Humor is always a good thing when you are being tortured. Short story, after repeating the above several times, the 'procedure' was mercifully over. Now it was time to get my prescriptions.

You guessed, I was given my prescriptions and sent to my pharmacy to stand in line. Fortunately, I had thought ahead and brought a pair of depends so, when I was standing in line with my bladder and the tip of my penis burning and not sure I could control the urine and blood from doing what it pleased, at least I had the comfort of know it was being contained and concealed.

The pain killers mainly just made me feel drugged and did very little for the pain. It was very painful to urinate for the next few days and it was even more painful not to.I could blame this on the doctor but I am pretty sure he would have done much more if only my medical insurance had paid for it. I don't know? Maybe I just have a very low pain tolerance these days?

Dr. Sethi is good. Office staff is a complete clown show, a train wreck. Front desk is uncaring and unfriendly. Spent two years there getting billed by my insurance for test I never authorized, waiting forever on hold when I called and forever to see the doctor. Finally left for a new doctor and when the new doctor requested my records...nothing. New doctor put in 2 requests over a 2 month period with NO response from Golden State. I finally had to drive down and get the records myself and they had the nerve to still charge $25. I asked them why after two requests for records over two months were ignored all the said was " I don't know". That's the office staff in a nutshell, they don't know anything. Stay AWAY from this place if you can.
