Q:
Is it worth going an hour before it closes?
A:
I went and got food To Go an hour before closing. I think they stop cooking by then, so most of the food trays were not being re-filled.
Cristine G.Â6 months agoQ:
Do they have the whole menu? Other buffets that I've been to, for the re-opening after covid do not have a complete menu and I dislike that.

Came by the day after Valentines Day there wasn't a lot of people about 30% full. The week day price was $16.99 and $15.29 for seniors.
There were several items missing from the weekend menu. 3 different kinds of shrimp and the beef ribs. Still a good value. You can easily spend $12-13 dollars for a burger combo at Wendy's or Jack in the Box. I really love the Hot & Sour soup, Baked Mussels, the Fried Chicken is pretty good too.
On a humorous side note I saw 4 one star reviews with the same picture of a roach on the handle of the food tongs hahahaha cmon roaches gotta eat too! Just kidding. Restaurant was clean with no critters walking on the floor.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Dec 20, 2022Previous review12/20/2022
3rd time coming here.
My daughter is in town for winter break she wanted a good meal. She said her flight didn't offer much of anything to eat. A soft drink and a mini bag of peanuts.
Took her here to Golden Panda Buffet.
All in all she had a delicious food coma. This is my wife's favorite buffet to go to.
The baked mussels were delicious. So was the different kinds of shrimp and meat dishes. The sushi was decent I really liked the fried chicken.Nov 5, 2022Previous review11/05/2022
A very decent AYCE Buffet. Prices on the weekend are $17.99 I did mention I was a senior so I think I got a discount.
I can't see why Paradise Buffet got rated 4.5 Stars and Golden Panda only 3.5 stars. I'm not a seafood guy, about the only thing I can eat at Paradise is the meatloaf. I've enjoyed everything here at Golden Panda.
I enjoyed the seaweed salad, green lipped mussels, clams, Beef ribs, Kung Pao chicken, string beans, California rolls.
I got a little bit of everything just to try out. I love the Hot & Sour soup.
The reason for 4 Stars. Some of the items lacked flavor and tasted bland.
My wife liked this buffet so we'll be back
No crab legs, but they had other kinds of crab. - 168338320Jan 1, 2024
Decent selection of food for the price. There's a mix of sushi, chinese, and american foods. Their fried chicken is from Krispy Krunchy Chicken (there's a sign). Decent selection of desserts. Their flan is pretty good.
The restaurant is located within a plaza, so parking was easy to find.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Kirk Q.Duarte, CA71726Nov 22, 2023
Generally, the price per person is not that bad and the food is somewhat good. I liked the food a bit. Nothing too fancy, but good as far as buffet food goes.
The 1 star review is for my most recent visit. My mom and I made a reservation for a large number of people. They promised us we would have the left side of the restaurant (80+ people for the left and the right side was for less than 50 people). When we got there, some of our party was there and they were scattered all over the place. Originally my family members were told to sit on the less than 50 side which was annoying. Secondly, a small number of people got some soda cups, myself included, and then the manager (assuming he was the manager) grabbed a bunch of soda cups and dumped them on several of our party's tables for no reason so we were charged for a lot of soda when a lot of our party did not even grab them. As a matter of fact, the receipt said "soda x197" when our party was around 89 people, and maybe a third of our 89 had soda. On top of being charged for 197 sodas, we were promised a big discount on the sodas if we were to pay in cash. We were told by a lady on a previous visit when discussing the reservation. She was not there, and a male employee tried to give us a $50 discount total. Not a great discount, especially since being overcharged quite a bit. Also, all of our party was charged the same adult price even though we had about 15 kids under 10 years of age and a few infants.
Let's do a little bit of math. My bill was around $2,055.
197 sodas x $1.99 = $392.03
10% (tax) x $2,055 = $205.50 (tax charged)
$2,055 (total) - $205.50 (tax) = $1,849.50
$1,849.50 (total before taxes) - 392.03 (197x sodas) = 1,457.47
$1,457.47 / $13.99 (weekday lunch price for adults 10-64yrs) = 104.1 people
So we had to be charged for 104 adults, and overcharged for 197 sodas just for this math to make sense. If we were charged an appropriate amount of sodas, then we would have to be charged for more people. If we had 50 sodas, they charged us for 125 people.
We will not be coming back here anymore for our large parties, and highly discourage anyone else from throwing a big party here in hopes of others avoiding our mistakes. BEWARE!Helpful 8Thanks 6Love this 4Oh no 13 - Mar 2, 20249 check-ins
This is my go to buffet. Selection not bad for the price. Food items always fresh. Plenty of choices from hot foods, salads, fresh fruit, desserts including a chocolate fountain for marshmallows and strawberries. Oh and don't forget the sushi. Young lady on top of clearing the plates off the table. As big eaters, there are plenty of plates. See again soon!!!

Do not recommend it unless you want to get sick. Visited this place today and was beyond disgusted. I would give this place NO stars. The food personally was nasty. I served myself one plate and didn't even finish it. While sitting there, I watched the food prep team bring out food. A man was tossing the salad with no gloves on, touching the fridge doors, cutting strawberries, and grabbing everything with no gloves. Used the same towel to wipe hands between chopping up fruit and putting his full hands in the mandarÃn can to pour on top of salad. I was beyond disgusted, I threw up outside. Very unsanitary conditions at this place. So lucky my phone was dead, or I would've video taped him.

The sushi are just basic rolls with variations of imitation crab and sauce. Hot foods like the orange chicken and broccoli beef are the same as you will find in any gringo Chinese fast food restaurant in southern California. They also have pepperoni pizza and fried chicken, which were fine.
Overall fantastic but basic Asian buffet. For $14 per person at lunchtime, this place is amazing value for money.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Guadalupe E.Los Angeles, CA991812Apr 21, 2024
This place was disgustingly dirty. The windows, tables, food area, & bathrooms were all sticky & full of gunk! The cold food was served warm and hot food served cold. The employees were also just trying to get people in and out as fast as possible. Do not waste time or money going here. Definitely not worth it. Lastly, the price online is listed at 10-20 per person but it was more like 25-30 per person. I give this a -100000000. I'm upset I even ate here.

Very busy when I dined in. Upon entering, you pay first before being seated. Parking can be tricky especially since its limited to only 2 hours.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 20, 2024
So first time here. Not a bad spot if you really do not feel like cooking or eating your usual tacos, burgers etc. surprisingly, it was good, clean and affordable. The choices they have were reasonable. I destroyed their shrimp area! Anywho, the caveat is that these folks charge you up front. Which it's ok, let's say we get that out the way. However in my case, the lady straight up brought me the fortune cookies as a form of saying, "your time is up" . Kinda didn't like that, however. Every restaurant runs their shop. Anywho, give them a shot and see how it works for you.
