Golden Era Vegan Restaurant

THE BEST VEGAN FOOD IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! Huge menu, amazing staff, and the most delicious flavorful meat substitutes and veggies I've ever had in my entire life hands down. PLEASE EAT HERE!

Honestly amazing vegan food! The spring rolls were delicious. Light, fresh and healthy. The peanut dipping sauce really complimented the rolls. The soup was yummy with a lot of different veggies and vegan proteins. I personally didn't love the fake looking chicken, but everything else was good. We didn't get the lemongrass special, but someone nearby did and it smelled incredible, will definitely have to try next time!

There's some street parking around or you can park in the lots in civic center. The space itself is large and clean.

Best vegetarian Chinese in SF/Bay area, and there are a lot!
Service is great, menu extensive, food in generous proportions and sure to please the eyes and tastebuds.
Place is light, clean and welcoming and close to city hall, near Asian Art Museum and on a clean block.
There was 6 of us and we ordered too much as in multiple appetizers, 6 mains and desert--all were well presented, perfectly cooked and great tasting.
Go hungry, don't order too much and save room for dessert!

Why am I not vegan???
This was the question I asked myself after my first bite of this delicious food.
Recently been having some health issues and decided to go vegan for a couple of months and just yelped it and this place came up with good ratings. I was in soma and it said 10 min so I started walking after about 5 min I realized it was 10 min by car and 25 walking.  I kept walking through tenderloin FML and was seriously considering walking back.
Cut the long story short made it there in one piece and ordered the food.
The food was to die for.(almost did walking through tenderloin).
Ordered the papaya salad, Lemongrass Deluxe
And House Rice Claypot. OMG one better than another. If I stay vegan it's because of them.

I was in downtown SF taking care of business and had 3 hrs to kill. Thank you to Yelpers' reviews which led me to grab lunch @ Golden Era Vegan Restaurant in SF!  I was very impressed with the Lemongrass Deluxe, one of their specialties!  Every bite of  "chicken" was full of incredible flavor and crunchiness from the fresh, steamed broccoli and other veggies.  If I am in the downtown area again, I definitely will return to eat here with a bigger appetite!

I got the spicy sweet potato curry and the veggie foo young and loved both! Greta opportunity to order some vegan dishes you might not be used to ordering. Lots of variety on their menu and everything I had was great :)
The folks I was dining with didn't enjoy theirs quite as much but mine was too good to leave less stars...

What an amazing establishment- I was blown away by the lemon pepper "chicken" entree. So many options to choose from and I don't think you could go wrong with any of them. The chicken drumstick appetizers were also delicious. If I lived in the area I'd be here every week!

The food was delicious but they ended up getting our order wrong. We didn't want the food to be wasted so we just went with it. It was a little disappointing because the other that we ordered had more vegetables whereas the one they brought us was just more of the substitute meat.
Everything we ate was super delicious and the server was nice even though he got our order wrong. I would come back and would definitely get one of the dishes that had more vegetables in it. We ordered one serving of white rice and had to remind him we ordered it and then he ended up bringing us 2 orders
We ended up with the potstickers which were good but a little heavy. I loved the spicy lemongrass tofu and would absolutely get it again. I'm not sure what the other was that we got I think it might have been the lemon grass deluxe.
So glad to see it a great vegan option with lots of different types of entrées and appetizers. Highly recommend for anyone who is in the area.
Since it is in San Francisco it can be gross outside the restaurant and getting there.

I'm not vegan and I absolutely love the dishes here. Everything is fresh and flavorful. They're so many delicious dishes to try. I like the Spicy Noodle Soup (Bun Bo Hue) the broth is amazing. I like their Avocado smoothie too.

Honestly, if I can eat vegan food this good everyday...I will convert for good. For the meantime, I will just come here to satisfy my cravings!

Such a unique spot in San Francisco for vegan food. It hits the spot every time.

This place is legit. Like Heaven on earth. Spectacular to say the least.

I got #17 bun bo hue/spicy noodle.

Top tier tastiness. After the meal I felt good, light and overall great.

This meal was a blessing!

Hands down one of the best vegan spots in the city. Definitely check this place out if you're in SF. You won't be disappointed!!
