Golden Bagel Cafe

I was so excited to come across this gem!!!! I ordered an onion bagel with salmon! IT WAS AMAZING!!!! I love how this resultant has a juice bar right inside!!!! I've tried an number of drinks and have yet to be disappointed!!! Staff is friendly. Restaurant is clean. Only bad thing I can say about this place is it's too far from home, I wish it was closer!!

I've lived here for 20+ years now ( from my island home ) and it's the 'local' places I truly enjoy and appreciate .

Their hours are shorter but well worth the visit for food and refreshing drinks

First time here since ownership change. Our cashier was polite, and table service for dine-in orders was a nice plus. Items hanging from the ceiling blocking the view of the menu board on the wall was curious. The wait at our table for our food was double what it should have been in my opinion, one of those instances where one begins to wonder if our order was lost. For the most part we enjoyed our breakfast sandwiches, however they would REALLY benefit from two things:
1. Bagels were pretty dry and need butter or something added prior to assembling the sandwich.
2. Scrambled eggs were plentiful, but bland. I'd suggest adding diced onions or scallions and some spices before scrambling.
The low prices were very refreshing in today's environment where most restaurant breakfasts push $20 per person. We will return with high hopes for some minor improvements.

Food tasted great! Service was fairly fast, aside from them being a bit busy during breakfast time. I thought the restaurant inside was clean, small and cozy. They also had outdoor seating which is probably great in warmer weather! If you love bagels this is the spot to go!

The Golden Bagel Cafe is my place to go for breakfast bagel sandwiches! I usually get mine with an Everything Bagel and am very satisfied ... sometimes till dinner. :-)

I can always find a parking spot, and the table layout is such that I can also always find a small table to sit & eat. The food is fresh and piping hot when it comes out.

My family loves Golden Bagel. We always order the same things, and are always happy. Today was no different: one Bottlerock sandwich (with a croissant instead of a bagel because you only live once, and croissants=life), one breakfast burrito (god bless the tots inside that delicious bundle), and one plain pizza bagel for my youngest. Long story short, the pizza bagel had cream cheese on it when it arrived and my little couldn't eat it (side note: the cream cheese at GB is awesome, she just can't eat it). The sweet employees quickly took it back, tried to replace it (no more pizza bagels were left), and decided to make her a mini pizza instead. I felt badly sending something back, especially when they were busy, but the GB employees were sweethearts about the whole thing. Much appreciation to this fantastic local establishment... we'll be back soon!

Pretty disappointed with the Golden Bagel after the change in ownership. The Everything looked more like a sesame and the Asiago looked like it was slightly sprinkled with shredded Parmesan. Both were dry and a bit claggy. Definitely not the same quality as before. Prices up, quality down. Definitely need a better option on this end of town.

Don't know what the new owners had in mind when they came in and changed the feel of the store. Why are they selling boxes of pasta and Mexican soup? And the new way they display the bagels is poor.

That aside, I ordered lox and bagel and made it abundantly clear to the person taking my order what I wanted. Of course they said: "Have it our way," seemingly not paying attention. The only reason I might go back is at least so far, they haven't screwed up how the bagels are made.

.......stopped in for a couple bagels to go early afternoon last wk....plain & cranberry.....barely any cranberry bits....both bagels doughy/tasteless...server was very unfriendly/no smile/no words.....hadn't been here in a few yrs....never again.

I used to love going to get a bagel and smoothie at golden bagel. They used to be so well known for a great smoothie and delicious/fresh bagel.

Lately, the customer service is horrible. The girls working in the back are super rude. When you say thank you, or ask questions you get a half assed reply. The other day I thanks a girl for my smoothie and got nothing...

The quality of the bagels have not been the best lately and the taste of the cream cheese has changed I guess they are now using a different brand and for what once used to be one of the best places in Napa to go for a quick breakfast, has severely gone down hill.

They have added new food items and pasta to go but, they food was not that tasty, the granola wasn't the best, and if I want good Italian pasta I go to Genova. It's like this place that once had killer bagels, great smoothies and yummy salads and sandwiches oh and pizzas, lost their identity and they are trying to find a new one.

All in all, this place has been a disappointment since changing ownership.. the customer service has not changed for the better and you can get better service elsewhere.

Go to: Winston's cafe, west won bread, Panera, Whole Foods or the farmers market to get better service and better products.

I understand it's under new ownership but I'm very disappointed. Used to be a good go to bagel shop and quick place for a bite to eat.

Hopefully they get the layout better and the menus more readable. It's just confusing.

Also, I had to go home and put more cream cheese on my paper thin bagel. Probably won't be going back anytime soon. It's a shame.
