I had a commercial policy for my business buildings with them for several years. This year in February I received a non renewal letter from the carrier, I am sure they also got a copy also. Just in case I sent an email to them. Like all the other emails I send to them no response. In mid-April I get a call that they are working on it. It expires May 1st. Then a few days prior the expiration they send me a quote that is triple. My buildings are suddenly valued at a rate that is $400,000. more than last year. So I called and asked why they are increasing the value suddenly. They said you were undervalued. Having built many buildings in the last 47 years that was a hard sell to me. I gave them the true current costs and I was actually over in the first place. Then they couldn't change until they got in touch with Justin (owners son in law). Higher premium higher profit.
Then the day before it expires I get a new quote at 3:pm they call and ask if I want to go through with this quote. This time they were trying to sell me an extra coverage for cyber attacks, on steel buildings? This is what I call railroading. I don't have to get insurance, it is just an option. So I shopped around and got a better price by $500.
This is usually the way it works when kids take over a business from a parent. They are suddenly bid shots but don't know how the business was built.
My dealings with them on another transaction was less than trustworthy also.

During the wild fires raging in Mariposa County inJuly 2017 I called Shannon Fountain to request additional coverage on the structure that was just built on my property ,wanting to keep ahead of a bad situation I was afraid it wouldn't get covered in time ,but Shannon is Truly a professional and understanding person to help push the coverage through in one day, can't say enough good things about this company and their employees I have my home and vehicles with them and have never experienced a problem, I highly referred them if you're in the market for a great insurance company.
