My first impression was we sat at a table where the cheap plastic tablecloth was shoddily repairs with packaging tape. Throw it out and buy a new one!!!!

Pizza was pretty tasty but we were the only ones in the dining room at 6:15 on a Friday night. I guess everyone else in town has tried the place and didn't come back. One old couple showed up later and sat at a table for 10 and watched the tv.

Probably good for take out or delivery, but dine in experience is extremely lacking. .

Great pizza! We ordered 35 pizzas last minute and the new owner, Landon was super accommodating and helpful! Really nice owners. Local family owned. Really good pizza. Love the supreme

Under new ownership. Was a 5 star local pizza joint with great italian style pizza. Now skimpy on toppings and up on price. No thanks, we won't be ordering pizza from Giovanni's any more unless they revert to Italian recipe we enjoyed. 30% of our pizza had exposed crust and no toppings covering it.... almost $30 for a large? Let's put it this way, Monical's is a better value.

Superb little gem in El Paso, Illinois. This place comes highly recommended by the locals; and they weren't wrong. We've passed by El Paso for years and never knew of it's existence. I was dining alone so I ordered a 10" pizza with spinach, tomatoes, garlic crust and mozzarella cheese. For less than a buck, I added feta. The crust was light and flakey and perfectly cooked. The waitress was friendly and attentive, though I would have preferred my Blue Moon served with a glass and an orange slice as it's traditionally served, rather than just the bottle.

At the register, upon paying my bill, the owner chatted me up and it wasn't just me he spoke to; he personally visited every table of regulars and chatted them up too. Asking about their families, making sure they had everything they needed.

Don't miss this great place in downtown El Paso.

      This place is great!
I love Giovanni's because they make real pizza, none of that canned or add water stuff. My family likes to order the big 20 inch pizzas, that is plenty for us for dinner and breakfast!

I've had pizza all over the world and Joe's at Giovanni's is still my favorite. The pizza is completely hand made, including the sauce, and is served at the table piping hot and fresh. The ratio of cheese to sauce is perfect, and the crust is delicious. Giovanni's is ran by a genuine Italian family, which might account for their superb cuisine.

The only other pizza in El Paso is Casey's, which is quite unappetizing, and Monical's, which serves industrialized food. I'd happily make a trip from Bloomington-Normal to Giovannis if pressed, because not only is the pizza incredible and more affordable, but El Paso has a nice historic downtown and mid-town trail that makes for a nice small-town walk. Giovanni's has a large room that would be great for parties, and they're located right on the historic Front Street if you are interested in seeing some small of the small local shops.

Five stars to the excellent pizza at Giovanni's!

I was very disappointed when we ate dinner tonight at Giovanni's. The bread sticks were not done and we ordered two pizza's and salad also. Our waitress left to go and deliver pizza's my son had to go to the bar himself to get us another beer. She came back and we asked if our salad was ready she brought it out and we finally got our pizza. We were there for two hours I know this was our waitress first night but it shouldn't of taken this long. We have eaten there many of times but it never was this bad. We probably won't go there for awhile.

Food was very good, but the service was horrendous! Three tables and had to wait over an hour for a couple of pizzas and garlic bread. Maybe all the cooks in the kitchen that were standing around laughing were telling jokes about the fools in the dining room. If your in a hurry, go somewhere else.

Family owned and excellent pizza made the way pizza should be. Our entire family loves it and I do not mind the drive from Washington, IL....it is that much better than anything around here. If you eat in, you will enjoy the friendly atmosphere.
