They are very accommodating. They can change their dishes to your preferences. I had something off the menu. Delicious

Loved it! Great dinner and service. Family atmosphere.

So this place was suggested by friends. My Husband and I just got married and Greenville has always had a special place in our hearts so we came here to spend some time away.
Giovanni's was one place everyone has been telling us to go so it wasn't a hard sale.
When we got there yesterday I was instantly in love with how small and intimate the place was.
Staff amazing the gentleman who greeted us at the front was very nice and helpful. I did encounter a older gentleman with a thick Italian accent who was so nice and friendly with us as we asked questions as me ordered.
The restaurant is small inside but they have definitely made it very comfortable and romantic inside and it definitely gives you the old school vibes when you walk in!
We got the Smoked Salomon carpaccio it was so good! It was husband's first time trying it and he ended up loving it.
For entree's he got the Chicken Marsala so good and I got the Chicken Alfredo also amazing!
And I saw so much about the lasagna via reviews I got that for us to share another night in town.
Overall I would 100% come back and recommend this place to othersHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Giovanni C.Fort Lauderdale, FL42220Mar 21, 2024
Called ahead to see if I needed reservations and to let them know I had a baby stroller. Got a women that said we didn't and than she asked me to please hold. Than some guy picked up that wasn't very friendly but not rude either. Kinda like whatever. So we went and had dinner. This place is tiny but pretty cool. I liked the inside. It was different. My wife got the chicken cacciatore which looked like spaghetti and meat sauce. The chicken was buried in this dark super seasoned sauce. Looked brown but was apparently marinara. She hated it. Super spicy and a whole bunch of seasoning. I got the chicken parmigiana. It's was ok. Mediocre at best. The waiter didn't even ask how the food was. I guess they think they are the sh*t. I had high hopes for this place cause I hear such good things about it. We wont be back.

This was our 4th here.
It was our anniversary and we were excited to go and have a good dinner.
But it was everything but good.
My wife had spaghetti and meatballs and I had chicken Parmesan with spaghetti.
The sauce was blend and the chicken was ok. The meatballs were disgusting. I have never ever tasted anything like that before. We didn't finish the food and the waitress took the food back to the kitchen and they were talking about it and the owner came over and said to my wife you don't like to meat sauce and she said no it was OK. He said to me you didn't finish your chicken. I said I was full and he said to me, but eating bread. He was just very rude and i really thought that was uncalled for. Never going back and I will be telling othersHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - JD S.NV, NV067Mar 10, 2024
This is the best Italian in the Greenville area. It is in a small strip mall but don't let that confuse you from the big flavor you get from the food and service inside the doors. The owner cones and lights the candle on the table and will go over the specials. The food is very fresh and authentic and made fresh to order. Great quite location for a date night or any time you want the best Italian food you can get in the upstate.

I'm surprised at how good most of these reviews are. We waited for a table and the space was quaint but the food we left behind. The salad was iceberg lettuce and subpar dressing...the bolognese was super salty and we simply paid and left. Service was good and I had high hopes but wouldn't come back.

Have tried multiple dishes and they've all been fantastic. Ambience in the restaurant is cozy, dark, and intimate. Very nice servers and wait staff! Love this place!

Good or bad, the only negative thing one can say about this place is that they don't take reservations. Sometimes you may have to wait (once about 90 minutes), but making a required reservation might make one wait weeks...
