Authentic Cuban sandwiches and entrees, some of the best Gumbo in town, and slow roasted pork are just a few of our specialties. We also serve delicious hot breakfast sandwiches, espresso, Cuban style coffee, beer and wine.…

After eating at Geo's I understand the hype about Cuban sandwiches.
We had the Pan con Lechon and the Tribute. Absolutely great!
Can't wait to try out their dinner menu.

Met up for dinner with a friend prior to going out on a Friday evening. Upon entering the restaurant it was a bit deceiving of the layout.
Chose to sit in the longue and bar area. Took quite some time to come around to get some drinks. Then we immediately placed our orders in.
I had the bistec but chose to go with the eggplant modification; growing up in Miami I shoulda stuck with my guns and not have opted since I never seen this before. It was ok at best.
Luckily my friend ordered the fricase de pollo and we split both dishes. The chicken was really good.
It was difficult getting the waiter who was also tending the bar to come around. Experience was ok at best; will continue to look for a Cuban spot that I'll eventually like.

We were headed to Ray's upon the recommendation of someone we barely know. After a 15 minute walk from the locks, and embarking on a late dinner, we were all a little hangry. When we arrived at our destination, it was too stuffy & too expensive for what we wanted.
One block further we were lured to Geo's by the outside tables & live music. Relaxed & fun & just what we needed.
We ordered two Puerco Asado dishes & El Caribe. My son lost his 9th tooth while taking a giant bite of his sandwich, it was that big! Everything was good, the meat was just a little dry & I expected a little more flavor.
Overall it is definitely a restaurant with fun energy & polite staff.

Shrimp po'boy seasoned and sautéed, not fried?! Yes, please! I have a hard time finding shrimp po'boy sandwiches this side of town that are not deep fried. Don't get me wrong, I like po'boys made every which-wich way, but it's harder to find them grilled (and sometimes the heart wants what it wants!)
We were having drinks down the road at Lagunitas before going to a play in the area so I phoned in my order 15 min before closing time. I showed up 2 min until closing, paid the nice lady at the counter for my sandwich, and was off. The little store front is small and easy to miss at the bend in the road, but their food surely packs a punch. There is so much delicious flavor in one generously sized sandwich! I didn't have time to eat the whole thing before the show, so went back to it 2 hours later. It was still excellent cold and a bit soggy - that is the sign of a good sandwich!

One of my favorite restaurants in Seattle, Geo's is as good as it gets for Cuban food in the PNW. Across the board, I prefer it to that other place. Go here!
Food: Amazing selection of Cuban sandwiches and plates; I've loved everything I've eaten here. Order some platanos to start, then a plate or sandwich (they're all delicious). Also, I love the coffee here.
Service: The staff are very nice and the owner (I believe), will often greet you and ask about your meal.
Ambience/Decor: Small interior with colorful artwork and cuban music, along with a small deck seating area. It feels happy, friendly, and perfect.

Solid place for lunch with a bud or on your own. They serve beer and have a nice selection of made-to-order sandwiches, with prices from $8-14. Entrees available too. Seats about 14 people total. What I liked most was how non greasy and clean the sandwiches are compared to other places. I liked that they gave me two sauces on the side to add as I wanted. Parking around the side of the building had lots of spots. On a cold day like today though I would've appreciated some sense of heat in the place, still a nice option for the area especially when you don't want the lineups and foot traffic in Ballard.

First we had Tostones. They had grilled onions and the dipping sauce was a crema garlic aioli. The tostones were crisp and the aioli was a great match.
For the entree I had a shrimp po' boy and it was fresh and spicy and yummy and my companion had Palomilla Steak, Thin slices of marinated sirloin steak grilled in a cast iron pan with red onions. Served with moros (rice & beans), He loved it.
Everything was so good we had to try dessert so we split a chocolate cake which was so light and chocolatey. It was layered cake with chocolate mousse. Add in a jalapeno margarita for me and we had a great meal!
The dining room decor is fun and very Cuban and the bar is beautiful.
We can't wait to go back. This is one of those places you want to stay busy so they stick around but hope they don't get too busy. They have live music on Friday nights too!

Unbelievable. Chef Geo, who also personally brings out the food, uses traditional, family recipes for his meals. The ingredients are fresh, the service is fantastically friendly, and the location is both cute and homely. The steak is to die for, with an amazing marinade, and the yucca fries are topped with garlic and marinated, grilled onions.
If you want a real Caribbean/Cuban experience with heart felt made dishes filled with flavor, Geo's is the place to go. Easily top 3 in all of Seattle.

There has been a LOT of hubbub since the shock of Paseo's closing. Baleful prose all over social media and now there is a kickstarter budgeted for a quarter of a million dollars in the hopes that they can revive a beloved Seattle institution. All I could think was, really Seattle? Really?!
How about visiting a place that's been quietly serving actual Cuban food since August of 2013 with a solid five-star rating? How about patronizing a place that seems to take care of their workers AND that makes legitimate Cuban food! The prices are excellent and the food is spectacular.
When the weather is cold (like now), you can't go wrong with their quimbombó, a Cuban version of gumbo with chicken, Andouille, okra, peppers, and finished with a scoop of white rice.
And if the weather is warm (like it will be again one day), their chicken and black bean salad will hit the spot! The salad has crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, sliced red onion, avocado and that wonderfully prepared chicken tossed in their house vinaigrette dressing and sprinkled with black beans. Truly, that chicken is moist and flavourful without being dry, like chicken is prone to do.
And the sandwiches. THOSE SANDWICHES! Geo's cooking skills are legit. His love of cooking began with helping his abuela and father back home in Cuba. He went to culinary arts school and since relocating to the States in 2005, has logged time in several in acclaimed local kitchens.
My husband and I have been steadily going for his amazing food since February of 2014. Every time we bring new customers with us, Geo comes out to greet us and meet them. It's that level of customer service (and that food!) that kept us coming back again and again.
Thank you Geo for sating this Filipina's crave for pork and for continuing to cook quality food at an affordable price. I hope y'all remain open for years to come.

I sit here excited for the food about to hit our table. Already the owner Geo has made us feel at home and ensured a repeat visit. He checked on the six people eating inside without being over the top. He was genuine and very friendly!
The smells emanating from the kitchen are filling the small dining area (12 max) and they are most definitely stoking the hunger furnace!
I ordered the Pan con Lechon and my husband settled on the Puerco Asado. There were maduros and moros, plus their bread is house-made.
Parking lot is small but there is street parking. They take all credit cards and offer all day breakfast sandwiches and coffee drinks. The space is cozy yet airy with 15' ceilings, exposed wood beams, and huge windows perfect for people watching.

Wow. Yeah, I am an INSTANT fan. WE are instant fans. The house-roasted pork was beautifully done and the garlic aioli was amazing. I could slather that on any sandwich, vampires be damned! My husband especially liked their version of a chimichurri that accompanied his roasted pork. Geo brought him some extra when he polished off the first batch.
Definitely come here. Patronize Geo Rodriguez and Kim Gianotti's lovely little café, and definitely patronize them often. We want this place to succeed and we look forward to more visits so I may work my way through that sandwich menu.

El Cubano y Pan con Bistec eran bastante deliciosa!!!!
Checked this place out for the first time and it is a nice little cafe place. It's across the street from the now closed Paseo's- Ballard location. Parking is pretty much street parking but there is a lot next door but not sure if it's private or not.
Was greeted by a nice, friendly gentleman that was eager to help or explain any questions. I typically try the Cuban sandwich and Pan Con Bistec sandwiches as my gateway dish. I was torn on which one to get, so I got both. About $9 bucks a sandwich. I came in after the lunch hour and only took about 5 minutes or so to make it for me. It's a small café with about 7 tables with some cool Cuban artwork on the walls, clean and bright place to have a lunch.
As for the food.....Cuban sandwich was good, pulled roasted pork that was cooked up on the flat top to get a little crust to it, ham, swiss, pickles and mustard on Cuban bread. Pretty darn good. It had plenty of meat and was a thick sandwich! I wish they would flatten it a little more as I like mine super flat. Maybe I can request that next time.
Pan con Bistec is a steak sandwich. I think this was slightly more flavorful than the Cuban. Grilled pieces of marinated steak with grilled onions with some garlic aioli with romaine. Not a pressed sandwich. I think they forgot the papas fritas inside as I don't remember any crunch. But nevertheless it was tasty!
I'll be back to try some other things, such as their entrees and coffees. I do want to try their cortadito as I didn't see a cafecito on their menu.
