So.. 5 years ago I gave this place 3 stars and I think I was being generous at the time. BECAUSE NOW, I am unfortunately giving them a 1.

I went here for lunch with friends (during the pandemic - in case someone is reading this a million years from now). And trust me, I've been to other places and the service was nothing compared to this place.

First off, tables are supposed to be blocked off, which they were! But the only table that was appropriately "distanced" was dirty and the only server there was just chatting it up with a customer. Fine. But we waited over 10 minutes for the table to get cleaned up. Once we get to the table, she asks what we would like to drink and then leaves but leaves no menus.

Second, we were sitting and waiting for our drinks for quite some time. Once we got them we were able to order. I kid you not, it took over 45 minutes for us to get our "World Famous Burger". I'm sure they only consider themselves "World Famous" because you're just SO hungry waiting for you that ANYTHING would taste delicious at that point.

The burgers were mediocre. I was unimpressed.

Come here only if you have TONS of time to kill and are not starving.

Not worth the wait.

45 minutes still no "burger and a bowl of chili" when I asked the waitress she said " these 5 people at the bar have all been here a 1/2 an hour longer than you, and they don't have food either". When I asked "why not" she said "because we have 1 cook and with 5 people, some getting doubles, thats 8 burgers". ???? So they waited an hour and 15 minutes, still don't have food, and that is normal?!?
A customer said "it's not burger king, leave and shut the fuck up"!
So, basically redneck, trashy hole of a restaurant, no service, NO FOOD, and almost a fist fight! And don't get me started on the aging hippy purpled haired waste of a waitress that we saw once in 45 minutes!!!

World famous, my ass. Waited 45 min for a burger that needed pickles and catsup to give it any flavor. Been in the valley for years and never tried it. Should of kept it that way. Dinghy and dark place to eat. Very depressing. Waited so long that I finished my drink and they wanted to charge me for a refill. WTF. Really, no customer service at all. Will not go back and will let everyone I know to avoid this place. Get better service and burgers at five guys.

My first and LAST visit to the place. Took for ever to be seated and even longer to get my food. They weren't even busy... DEFINITELY NOT A GOOD PLACE IF YOU'RE ON YOUR LUNCH BREAK. "World famous burgers" my butt! And they have "rules" for eating-WTF?! Yeaaaah NO!

So apparently "Elizabeth m" left a bad review about this awesome burger place. Clearly, the line waiting for lunch is a sign of good, fresh hot burgers and chili establishment. The long lines is a huge indicator! Btw, I looked into Elizabeths reviews on other establishments and I was not surprised to find almost all of them were of course 1 Star.
I have an idea, bring your own damn ketchup packets with you if it is a deal breaker for your burgers.
Get over yourself.

First and last time I will ever go to this place.  Being rude and nasty with customers is not something I expect or tolerate.  Long wait for a mediocre burger, wait staff never did check after getting the food and was confronted by a rude unkempt elderly cook who accused our entire party of somehow "harassing" the staff.

The place is dirty,food very average and the people extremely rude.

Never again.

Horrible. Anyone rating this burger as a 2,3,4 or 5  star burger is either sitting at the bar drunk on their ass or on crystal meth.  Burger is dry and cold fries look like they've been cooked in old old old grease.  The place smells and looks dirty it took an hour and 20 minutes to get a cheeseburger and crappy fries literally took two bites and left.  Not to be a dick but seriously the worst burger I've ever had in my life

Great burger. Total dive with great service. You will get thrown out for putting catsup on your burger. But your burger does not need it. So don't tempt George. A week in Palm Springs trying all kinds of different foods and venues, this was our Favorite place. Took the 16 year old. He almost got thrown out for laughing about the rule on catsup. Will come back.

Used to be the best burger in the desert. Was there last week after not going for 10 years.  We waited an hour and 12 mins before receiving the worst burgers we've ever had!!  Burgers were dry and over cooked. The waitress came by to say we would get kicked out if we put ketchup on it. We both walked out leaving the nasty burgers on the table.
Seriously,  if you are a foodie like my friend and I, don't waste the time and money going!!
Want a good burger, drive to Pacific Beach in San Diego and go to Rocky's or Hodad's. Life is too short to eat bad food!
