Probably, but you'd want to be sure about whether it's an FA game or some other sportsball

George and the Dragon is a pretty solid British pub for being in the middle of Arizona. Tables are a little sticky sometimes and the bathrooms don't have infant changing tables (okay, I know, weird thing to desire, and maybe the babies aren't the clientele this pub is trying to attract), but service is friendly and there's plenty of beer to choose from. I keep hoping they'll decide to bring in some Doom Bar, but I haven't gotten lucky yet. Food is, well, British food. They make a solid Indian Chicken Curry with the perfect bite of spice. The Shepard's Pie was a little heavy on the potatoes for my taste, so I think I'll stick with the curry next time.

I've got to come back soon since there's a Sausage Roll on the menu that I'm dying to try.

      First things first, GO ENGLAND!!!

I love that they are doing watch parties for the Euros and throughly enjoyed the watch party July 6th, and looking forward to enjoying the finals this Sunday! Jolene provided amazing service and even checked in on the status of my food when it took awhile (ticket was lost). Though the menu is limited for watch parties, the English Breakfast was spot on. I love that they didn't even bat an eye to make it vegetarian, and even inquired if I was vegan.

Outside of watch parties, this location is on my radar to try again as I haven't visited since COVID. My Nanny (grandma from England) always loved this pub when we were on that side of town, so this place has lots of nostalgia for me. One of the best pubs outside of England!

Stopped by to watch the England game. The place was packed. What a great atmosphere. still My server, Carly was a rock star. Always there for me. After the game I ordered the fish and chips that were awesome. Will be back soon. Highly recommend.

It's a pub & sports bar, with British & US style pub food. It has a big parking lot but no outdoor seating. Plenty of seating and TVs inside as well as darts & pool. They show the EPL, English Premier league on TV, it's a Man U bar according to the waitress.
I had the fish & chips, their signature dish. It's on the menu as "market price", which normally suggests it's fresh, although it's probably frozen, You get 2 big pieces of cod & thick cut fries for $17.99. The fries were good and I liked the batter that they prepared the fish in but I was disappointed with the flavor (v.little) & texture of the fish (dry). I think they use Alaska cod, which can be good, but this was a bit overdone. I would try something else next time.
Service was good. Beer selection was good, not great. Ambiance is ok, not a cosy pub though.

Incredible night! Thursday Night trivia was so fun and run by the owner David. He comes around and makes you feel welcomed. The potato skins were awesome, they did half bacon half not since I am vegetarian. The bangers and mash dish was perfect! Crispy outside and tasty in! Go here for a great English dish!

I came during happy hour (4-7 throughout the space). Mostly high tops, but there is a nice side room with low tables and wooden chairs. All apps and most beers are a dollar off during this time. The feel is more sports bar than cozy English pub. The server Leah, and the food were great.

The Dragon Crisps were super. These wispy bits can be ordered with cheese and and are the perfect accompaniment for my Harps beer.
The Chicken pasty was not really a pasty 'cause the pastry was so thin and light, but it is the perfect chicken pot pie! Delish!

There were some beautiful burgers going past us when we visited George and Dragon. But alas, we were there for food with more of a British flair, which is what they're built upon. Sadly, the Sunday Yorkshire pudding special fell flat for us, as did the fish & chips which was overcooked, dry, and difficult to eat.
As an option for a cold brewskie and a burger I think this place is spot on. Friendly service and a chill vibe. Go for that and I think you'll be golden!
