Gentle Dental Rancho

I've spent over $12,000.00 the past 6 months at this office, both dental and orthodontics for my family. I wanted to love this office, but they keep giving me reasons not to. Gentle Dental Rancho was recommended by a friend--I've since learned that doctor left the practice.

Pros: Short wait times (typically under 15 min), clean office, friendly office staff, dental/orthodontic assistants are also great, appointments are easy to make, and the prices are a bit below average for Las Vegas. Twice my kid broke brackets because he was wrestling, and they didn't charge us, that was nice. Dr. Morris (dentist) is great and I do recommend him if you can get an appointment. My kids love him, but seems he's not at this office very often.

Cons for dental: So-called cleaning is a joke. Scratched at my teeth for less than a minute, then billed for it. Happened to both me and my husband. No scaling and polishing. Quality of dental work is questionable. I got 6 preventive fillings from Dr. Peterson and 2 fillings fell out, one a few days later while brushing my teeth and another a few weeks later. Went back in, and he drilled my mouth without numbing it. One of those redone fillings fell out again last week during flossing. Purpose of the fillings were to make my teeth less sensitive, but now I have exposed root where he drilled and no filling in it... again.

Cons for ortho: Appointments only available on Tuesdays, which no one mentioned during the consult. Wish I'd gotten a second opinion before paying $7k for braces for two kids. During initial consult Dr. Chelian said their teeth were ready for braces and he had a treatment plan, billed me up front for X-number months of treatment. He keeps saying to come back in 10 weeks because their teeth aren't ready... so I paid for monthly treatments but with 2.5 months between appointments. Quality problems right away, brackets popping off on the way home from appointments, wires breaking, rubber bands popping off. Hard to say it's my kids being rough when it happens minutes after installation.

Cons for oral surgeon: Showed up for consult, he wasn't there and I'd taken off work for it. Rescheduled and showed up on time but waited an hour to see Dr. Soleiman, got a $6,000 bill after he quoted $1300, then got charged a "surprise" $80 consult fee.

Bottom line, ask a lot of questions and read the fine print before you drop hard-earned cash. I'm going elsewhere as soon as the braces are done.

Dr. Peterson and Maribel were very great people and made sure my root canal wa taken care of all the way. Definitely would recommend

This Dental office is so nice! I just got my annual check done. The care I got was gentle and fast. They explained everything as we went along. The office was very clean and the staff is really nice here.

My hygienist Nicole is not only sweet but really takes care of me and my teeth. At 53 I have to do what I can to keep them as long as possible. Lol. Thank you Gentle Dental for all of the great service I've received!

This review is regarding a I payment I unnecessarily made a couple months ago to Gentle dental, ;n still waitting on the refund of $329. I will no longer be going to gentle dental because I believe they rake advantage ofdisabled low income people who have insurance who should nor be billed unnecessarily as I was!!!!

I have been going to Dr. Peterson for15 years.
He is very professional, excellent with his patients.
His staff has always been very pleasant on customer service.

I brought my daughter in for exam and cleaning she had to get treatment but she did really well. The whole team did a great job from checking in/out with Angie and Amanda to the back office experience with Dr. P, Maribel, Paige, Nicole, and Giselle. They also have a spin wheel you can do at check out to win dental stuff you can use at home.

Dr. Pedersen and all his staff are the greatest. His Hygienist is a professional, not like others that don't really put the effort and expertise in their profession. They are exactly what they advertise " Gentle Dental " This is a Dentist!!!! Not an entererprisor that wants to sell you products or do procedures you DON'T NEED ! Best Dentistry I've ever had the pleasure of having my Dental needs done relaxing, knowing I'm receiving quality

My appointments where very convenient, making sure that they work with my schedule. Fast friendly! I have been getting my dental work here in year, and always attend to my needs, Doctor Brad Petterson, we call Doggie, have a very well mannered personality. And always make sure I'm getting all that dental work. I don't have a perfect set of teeth boy he does a really good job! Thank You!
