Gastonia Pediatric Dentistry

I had a wonderful experience here with my four year old! After being unhappy with the last pediatric dentist we saw we ended up here and I couldn't be more pleased. The staff was very friendly, very understanding, and very patient. They absolutely explained everything clearly and were very helpful. When we showed up at the office there was a sign welcoming my daughter to her visit.

During the course of the visit everything that happened was explained to both my daughter and myself, which I really appreciated. The staff asked my daughter's permission when they were working on her and gave her options, something I really appreciated as they were acknowledging her own agency over her body and care. She instantly latched on to the wonderful dentist and team. Some pediatric dental offices do not allow parents in the back at all but GPD allowed me to come into the back. After my daughter became comfortable with the staff and the process for fixing a couple of teeth began she decided she was fine with me waiting up front. Again, I appreciate the fact that she was given the choice.

We have an unusual insurance setup and the team took the time to review it, understand it, and put everything needed into place. It's a bit of a drive for us but I'm glad we chose GPD as our daughter's pediatric provider.

I used to take my twins and my other daughter here. The people that work there are snobby even the dentist & judgemental. At the time I was walking my daughters to all they dentist appts because I didn't know about the Acess bus bc I'm not from NC any who my twins are 3 and my oldest daughter who is Autistic is 6. At the time my kids was not in school bc this was over the summer. Plus with me having no family I take my kids every where with me. So the day that my 6 year old had the appt my twins where crying bc they was in the stroller and hungry so they kept looking at me crazy for one not every one have the choice to not be a single mother and so I ignored the stares and went to feed my twins so one of them asked me if I wanted them to take my twins with them I said no they can stay right here with me. 1 I don't trust ppl and two they ain't my family. So once I got the twins fed they was calm. So I grabbed my phone so I can take pics of my 6 year old the dentist snobby ass gonna day are u recording me I said no I'm taking a picture of my daughter via snap chat I even showed her that it only had a picture of my daughter so she gonna day you can't be recording again I said I'm not recording I just took a picture she she was really upset kmsl my thing she must not be very good if she got that upset bc somebody taking a picture and two don't know body tell me what to do with my phone or my child foh. So then she stop working on my daughter teeth even after I was not using my phone any more my daughter was getting her teeth seal for the first time so I asked I'm why are u not working on my daughter teeth she said bc your not allowed to record so I cussed her out for stop working on my child teeth and then she had the nerve to be getting close in my face like she want to fight and 2 that Bihh has me all fuck up bc I'll beat @ss ask questions later in ah min so I got right back in her face like Bihh what's good what u want to do so I was getting ready to leave and they was like we going to call the police I said so call them who cares lol but I found a better dentist for my daughters one who ain't stuck up when I got my kids enrolled in school I had to go back here to get paper work should of seen the look on they face ass I looked at them like SURPRISE ITS ME BIHH HAHA one of them lied and said my oldest daughter was never a patient there I told them that's a lie y'all kicked me out bc y'all claim I was recording lol welp that's my review and they still can kiss my behind lol and they kicked all my oldest daughter out they program but not the twins as if I was gonna bring my kids back lol kmsl rotflmfao bol! Roof! Haha

I am so impressed with this dentist! Everyone is so sweet and patient. This is my first time visit with them coming from another dentist and I would recommend them to anyone. My youngest daughter was terrified of the dentist (from prior experiences) well she was actually excited for her next visit after leaving here. They really know how to treat children!! This will be my only dentist for my children from here on out.

After having my type 1 diabetic child turned away for a basic cleaning for "monies owed"(I was at work and had to pay someone to take him for me), NO ONE from that office bothered to call me and let me know the situation, so my son was also screwed out of a half day of school. I have yet to receive any type of bill, paper or otherwise for these "services ", just a flimsy explanation that these fees were charged before they became a "provider" with our dental insurance, which was between 2-3 years ago at minimum. The office staff turned over rather rapidly (without notice to the patients) over the summer, which was when this "billing snafu" was "discovered".(Can you say "RED FLAG"?) I will be removing my kids from the "care" of this office, and will be contacting my attorney. Maybe they can send him a copy of the "bill" with the complete dates of service being charged. While Dr. Sery seems to be a good dentist,(my kids like her), the office needs either an overhaul or a complete audit. I am not going to allow my kids to go to a place that uses selective communication. If you are a working parent, they sure will not "work" with you in regards to phone notification should problems like this arise. Still waiting on that hard copy bill with dates of service, "office staff". My mailing address used to be in my file. This review is also another request to send it to me asap so I can have it audited myself.
