Galactic Supermarket Recordstore

This is arguably one of the best record stores in Berlin, if not in Germany. More than 25,000 records on sale. Most of them in excellent condition, kept in a plastic bag, which you can also keep. Good value for money! And very nice and competent staff including the dog Bobby who greets everyone with a wagging tail. Must visit if you love vinyl.

if you like krautrock / kosmische musik, this place is unbelievable. the originals section is DEEP and expensive - if you've got coin to drop, you can get those can / amon duul / ash ra originals you've always wanted. the clerk is friendly and knowledgeable. the rest of the store seemed wonderful too, but honestly i hardly touched it. this is a magic place and i will be coming here every time i visit this city.

I stumbled upon this place looking for Dense (which is no longer at Petersburger Str. 81, by the way -- not sure where it re-located to, if it did) and I was pleasantly surprised. Unassuming from the exterior, but inside is a treasure trove of vinyl! The staff was amazingly helpful. I asked what was in the back room, and I was given a full-blown tour of each section and how they are divided by genre, which is one of the most smartly organized layouts I have ever seen. Record junkies, believe me, you will be in sheer bliss here. Particularly noteworthy is the massive 7" collection and the nice assortment of Krautrock and Psych-Rock. There is also a listening station where you can play anything you like. I found a beautiful copy of CAN's "Tago Mago," which was reasonably priced and seems to have never been played! Note: I heard one of the staff members mention something about moving to a larger location, so you may want to call before heading over. Enjoy!
