I recently moved to Chicago, and through the reviews on Yelp, I chose this salon. I am incredibly happy with the results.

I previously had my hair colored auburn at a different salon out of state around 8 weeks prior to my visit here; the color had faded, and I was ready for a new look. I wanted to return to my natural brunette color but with subtle, scattered highlights, more at the tips. Toni did an excellent job caring for my hair. She tended to my roots and previously dyed strands, blending them into a seamless brunette, and then added balayage highlights and a soft ombré. The results were near-perfect, with surprisingly no noticeable damage to my hair.

The salon directly overlooks Michigan Avenue and Millennium Park, full of natural light and a lovely view. The complimentary cappuccino during my visit was also delicious and a fine touch to the whole experience. Lastly, I will comment that a visit to this salon should probably be considered an investment, as it is high end, but in my opinion, definitely worth it.

I have been seeing my stylist Suri for many years. She was working at Kiva Watertower and moved to Fuga Centro Salon & Spa. I am so happy she did.

Conveniently located on the 2nd floor on Michigan Avenue across from Millennium Park, you get a great vantage point to people watch as they visit our gorgeous park. It is bright, cheerful and super clean.

The staff is very friendly, yet professional. I am always greeted warmly and offered a beverage of water sparkling or flat, coffee, cappuccino or wine. Their magazines are current and good condition - which isn't always the case at other salons.

My services always start on time and are top notch. High quality products are used, which almost guarantees color perfection. You can buy hair care to take home but you are not awkwardly pressured into making a purchase.

It is a one stop shop. You can book massage, mani/pedi and color, cut & style all in one place.

If you are looking for high quality, amazing talent, robust creativity and ultimate professionalism in a gorgeous salon Fuga Centro Salon & Spa is for you!! And while you're at it - ask for Suri. You won't regret it!!

Although parking is very difficult, public transportation is very convenient.

      Nice view!!

I'm so so happy I found this salon. I stopped having bleach used in my hair for a few years to try to restore the health of my hair. Once I met Effie at Fuga to color my hair, she introduced me to a bleach with Olaplaex to help protect it. She's extremely knowledgeable about products, color, treatments and styling and she is a sweetheart (your hair stylist as a bestie 'ear to listen' is a real thing). I can't stress enough how great she is

I rarely write reviews for non-food experience, but this is a Yelp 5 star worthy salon! I had my hair colored by Briana and she did a wonderful job. I'm so impressed and wowed by her consultation and she got my hair to look exactly how I wanted it to be colored. Very professional, quick and efficient, knows what she's doing. Definitely coming back!

Also, the view is spectacular. While you're waiting for your hair to be done, you get to stare at Millennium Park and it's low enough that you can people watch as well! What's not to love?

I also really like the sleek design of the salon. It's really modern, clean, and just a great experience if you want to treat yourself.

You might just wander down Michigan Ave and never know this place is here. For situated just across from Millennium Park on the 2nd floor of the beautiful, historic Willoughby Tower building is Fuga. And the setting alone is enough to make a visit to this salon for this girl but the services provided are equally as good.

First of all, make sure you make note of the ornate lobby and elevator area. The doorman will give you a little history . . .but if that's not your thing . . breeze on by and press the elevator button for 2.

You will be warmly greeted by the receptionist whether this is your first visit or 50th. I always evaluate new salons by my first impression and this was VERY good. I was given something to drink by a stylist, the receptionist was friendly and welcoming, offering suggestions on where to park in the future and the salon was bright and airy with windows offering a great view of the park.

Georgia, my esthetician, was my reason for going as I followed her from her other salon and there were big shoes to fill for this place to match up. But the room was quiet and perfectly isolated for my treatment, far away from the noise of the hair salon which is a pet peeve of mine and the service was flawless . . . I just found my new salon for facials and waxing!!!

If you drive- while you might be tempted to park in Millennial Park garages, know that that is going to cost you way more than if you just valet behind the salon on Wabash. The valet at the jeweler there will run you about $15 . . .about half of the garages.

All in all, a lovely experience that exceeded my expectations. Almost made me want to get my hair done there as the people walking out looked great too!

I went here last minute to get a blow-out & style and it was okay. Lindsey. my stylist, was pleasant and it looked great when I left the salon; however, it only stayed like that for maybe an hour.

I specifically told her that my hair is very straight and doesn't hold curls so it would be best if we did tight curls and it would naturally unwind. What I ended up with was large, loose curls. I was in a time crunch so I just sucked it up. The blowout was $70 plus tip so I would think that my hair would stay decent for at least a couple of hours.

Would I go back? Maybe. Would I recommend this place? Sure...if you're looking for a place near work downtown.

As a person who has never been loyal to a hair stylist, I have been going to Lonnie Gaudet for five years now. He is a true master stylist and has an eye for style. His cuts and color are impeccable and I have never been dissatisfied with his work. In fact, I get more complements on my hair than I ever have.

Prior to going to Lonnie, I was seeing another stylist for keratin treatments because I got used to the Pravana products she was using. On my last visit with her, she completely damaged my hair. I immediately contacted Lonnie who was able to fit me in right away. He assessed the damage which was mostly beyond repair so he had to cut most of it out while ensuring that I had a stylish cut. Additionally, he gave me a few conditioning treatments that brought my hair back to life. Less than a year later, my hair has never looked better and it's all due to the expertise and professionalism of Lonnie. He's honest, creative and talented.

As for Fugo Centro salon, I have lived in Chicago for 7 years and never heard of the salon BUT it is one of the most beautiful I have been to with a great view overlooking the bean. I also like the products they use And especially enjoy the collagen hair color they use.... not sure if the brand or name but Lonnie would know what I'm referring to.

Note that I have been a client of Lonnie before his time at Fugo and will follow him where ever he goes.

I highly recommend! You won't be disappointed!

I got dip nails (which they specialize in), and they are flawless. It can be really frustrating to spend a lot of money on your nails, only to have imperfections - but that wasn't the case here! The staff here are really experienced, and really funny too! :)

tldr; does not accept walk-ins as advertised, but i can't attest to their services
I'm from out of town and was just looking to get a quick bang trim (was willing to pay a premium to get it done by a qualified stylist). They told me to come back four hours later (I did not) -- even though when i walked in there was exactly one client and at least four employees.
