Fun decor with a giant bear and longhorn divan pulled us in and we are so glad we followed our whimsy!
I had the absolutely delicious and interesting bbq pork enchiladas over a bed of beans and rice with cheese sauce and Cowboy Caviar salad on the side. My husband had the smoked brisket sandwich; tender, flavorful meat...the bun was totally superfluous we will definitely come back and try more from their menu next time we're in Richmond!

The food is ok for pre made BBq. My main issue was when you go into the men's bathroom and there is no soap. Especially when it's an all male staff on a Friday night. Makes you wonder if they are washing their hands before going back to work.

If you want great barbecue, and that is your goal. This is a great place to try. If you love barbecue and understand what good barbecue is, this is a great place to try. I never get caught up on service or ambiance although it was good. I'm not here to be pampered, I'm here to eat.

I have missed the original Alamo as a favorite lunch haunt and thought they were gone forever. Somehow I missed the memo that they had moved and rebranded. My daughter set me straight and away we went. So glad we did!

The new place (new to me) is a welcome improvement, with seats actually inside instead of on a patio. Very important in February!

The food is as good as I remember, maybe better. Certainly the pork is (once again) the best restaurant bbq pork in the area -- smoky, tangy, a little heat a la Texas style. If I wanted better, I'd have to make it myself. The texas caviar was a little bland, nothing salt didn't help. A pop of onion would have gone a long way. The brisket sandwich was very good, carrying lots of flavor with simple seasoning under the sauce. The accompanying fries were good and hot and were paired with a nice aioli. The mushroom quesadilla (special order accommodated, subbing in shrooms for meat) was surprisingly good. I was impressed with the flavor since it isn't a menu feature. The jalapeno mac and cheese carried a little punch to it, maybe more than the delicate cheese should be expected to stand up to, flavor wise.

Excellent rediscovery! Four stars, would be five if they weren't "out of iced tea" during a Saturday lunch. (Come on, guys.)

Delicious dinner in an inviting and laid back environment. We had a wonderful anniversary dinner tonight, enjoying some of the new menu items as well as our favorite go-tos. The service is well paced, the food and drinks are tasty, and the menu is creative and versatile. I'm looking forward to trying
some of the other new items!

A favorite in Churchill worthy of destination dining

A great little restaurant tucked away in a quiet older neighborhood.

Had a wonderful lunch with a friend here last month ... we sat next to the giant bear! It's a fun atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and gave excellent service.

All of our food tasted amazing with great flavors. Nothing was bland or overcooked.

Will definitely dine here again!

We went after the monument 10k and had a great experience. The wait staff was awesome and attentive, and our food was delicious. Everyone was extremely satisfied with their meals and their drinks. I got a salad and added grilled chicken to it. They forgot the chicken, but had it out to me right away, I would go back.

So, the food was delicious and portioned well, and the bear was friendly, but I really came to highlight Noelle. It was one of those days where a series of factors left them understaffed, and she kept the place going! Friendly, professional, and attentive as she bounced from table to table and worked to keep everyone happy. Fantastic service from her that made the wait not sting.
